This video helped a lot i have been trying to find perfect settings for instrumental music for like 2 days and you helped me a lot with it you made it so easy for me that i even managed to create some more equalizers so i just wanted to say thank you from poland❤
Great video! Very easy to understand and helpful! I was shocked to see you didn’t have a much larger following base since the quality of your vid’s are really good! 2:17 loved the audio editing here! You are now my go-to channel for help w/ my new JBL earbuds, thanks 👍
The JBL earbuds worked fine for the first few months, but within nine months of purchase, the left earbud stopped working completely. It did not produce any sound or connect to my phone. I visited customer service center twice for the same issue, but I did not get any proper resolution or assistance. I was given vague and unsatisfactory answers saying that cleaning the earbuds with a toothpick or tweezers would solve the issue. When I asked if this was the suggestion given in the manual and whether I would not be held liable for any damage to the product caused due to this, for which the service center told me that I need to keep on visiting them if there is any issue and they can only clean the earbuds and give them back to me and there is no other alternative. Wow, JBL ear buds are amazing, and the service offered is fabulous and the explanation given by the service center technician is just out of the world. I just love going to the customer center every other day to get them cleaned. It's like having a car that needs constant oil changes instead of earphones.
what a coincidence i just bought 230nc haha, thanks to your review!, the wavelet app really corrects the bass boost which comes with the earbuds by default and the rest of the settings are just amazing with any set of earphones imo. and if the device is rooted and ViperFX is installed then it's just too good with a slight compromise on battery :D
I prefer a flatter tuning too. It maintains a certain level of truness to the music with a slight flurry of colour. But my tunings do vary depending on the product I'm listening to.
Thank you for a yet another amazing video. Last year when Widevine L1 was dropped from my main phone, that is the OnePlus 7, it came as a huge disappointment because running Netflix and Prime videos in full HD was no longer enjoyable on my Motorolas coz there was a *huge suffering in terms of sound* because both my 2-3 sets of TWS ( OppoEnco air 2 Pro, One Plus BudsZ2 were not as compatible with Motorola as much as they were with OnePlus. I realised the importance of inbuilt Dolby in OnePlus and though the Motorola came with a good customisable equaliser and presets it never did the full justice to sound. *Wavelet would not work at all on movie apps.* And I tried so many things. 1 year down the line I still don't want to mess up with my OnePlus 7 with rooting or adding Widevine L1 By third party stuff. And I hate watching movies on the Motorola which is not even AMOLED and the darks do not offer that much richeness. So in a nutshell I compromised on the picture quality but never on the sound... I have realised that *OnePlus Buds and even Oppo Enco* are the most compatible with their own branded handsets. But again that is the personal thing as you mentioned. In the *buds app I have kept the equaliser to basic...* And a subtle curve ( mids slightly below Highs and Lows) *on the Dolby App* provided by OnePlus, gets me going on a comfortable sound stage while watching movies.
Hii, I wanted you suggestion on budget IEM below 2500 rs. I like to listen mostly to Blues Rock, classical, Qawaalis etc. I dont need bass to overshadow the mid range. Richer sound would be preferred. So would you recommend salnotes zero or chu or are there other IEM I should consider? I already have a CCA NRA so would it be worth buying another ? Thank you
I haven't heard the NRA, but I'm sure you've been enjoying them. CCA makes some nice sounding IEMs. I've recently come to enjoy the Tangzu Wan'er quite a lot. I've enjoyed a bit of jazz, blues, and classical music on it. It's not as bass happy as the Salnotes Zero, which is why I like it. I found the Chu's to be a little too bright for me, especially for longer listening sessions.
I've used Mi Dual Driver for 3 years and loved it. Unfortunately, the left one stopped working so I'm looking to buy a new one. I even considered re-buying it 😅but stopped because that wouldn't be wise; maybe this info gave you some idea about what I like. My budget is 2k, can you please suggest one? The IEM stuff seems very intimidating, and you said in IEMs we would need to listen at 10% volume, which is crazy and scary, what kind of monsters are they. So yeah, maybe I would prefer normal ones and not IEMs, I don't know It has to be better than Mi Dual Driver, otherwise I'd just go for Mi Dual Driver
Don't be intimidated by IEMs. They're a different experience altogether. With most I've tested, I wouldn't recommend going above 35% as they can get pretty loud. One that I've really liked is the KZ ZSN Pro X. Feel free to watch my review on it. It's a terrific set to listen to and quite affordable. Don't worry about getting a DAC/Amp dongle just yet. You can always upgrade to one at a later date.
Is this setting saved into the earphones or do we have to always use the app to tune the equalizer? For example, if I use another device with the earphones does it default back to factory settings?
The set I've been using seems to save the last tweaked EQ setting until it's modified from the JBL app. If you open the app on another device and the EQ setting is on, it'll change it to those different settings, so I only keep the app on my primary device.
Hey Paul, please review the Realme buds air 3s. I've been told they got much improved titanized dynamic drivers and Bluetooth 5.3 performance is much better with dual connectivity, your reviews are much better than other people so please review them
As per ur advice I bought jbl 230nc but its call quality is very poor anc only for name only, its always capture minor environment noise also, It's very disturbing during call my breath noise also going to other side. I have already used OnePlus neckband which call call quality very impressive whithout any anc . Always do ur video very practically for any device not for only valuable company. I feel very dispointing after. Buying jbl 230 anc
Lol.. I’m using oppo buds, it’s not picking my low voices like ‘hmm’, ‘ahh’ in night call. So I’m looking for buds which captures my low voices.. You’re saying jbl is picking ur breath also..😂 i think that’s right for me
I found the ZEX to be a little too sibilant for my taste. The ZSN Pro X is actually one of my favorites so far. Feel free to watch my indepth reviews on them.
I've never ordered from there, so I wouldn't be able to say for certain. I've always bought from HeadphoneZone.in. My reviews have affiliate links to the products from HeadphoneZone if you'd like to buy from them.
Hi sir I have recently bought nothing ear 2 which got hi res feature ...but my Android phone doesn't have lhdc codec ...how can I update it .can u suggest some Bluetooth dac amp for this or can u suggest Android phone with hi res lhdc codec feature
I'm not too sure about what phones support LHDC. It's worthwhile doing some research before buying one yourself. It's worthwhile owning a phone that can transmit that codec if you're listening to lossless audio, so if you stream your music from Apple Music, it makes sense. If you're listening to music from the YT app etc, don't waste your money on a new phone since the other platforms only offer SBC or AAC codecs anyway from the source.
Sir recently i purchase focal spark wired earphone it sound average....it does not separate instrument very good how can I improve it....plus this earphone sound very low in volume
I haven't tested the Focal Spark, so I'm not really sure how they image. Are they known to be sharp and well-defined with imaging or would you have been better with a set of IEMs?
The XM5 is a little more expensive than your 2k budget, but yea. I'm sure it's a great set to own. I haven't reviewed it yet, but I have quite enjoyed the XM4. I hear it's a good evolution on them.
My Oppo Enco Air 2 pro sounds completely different with iPhones. It's like even with the app the earphone sounds different with Other android devices, Samsung is also android but it sound better with Samsung's FE & S series devices than normal android. It's minimal but it's there. But with iphones it's like crazy, I feel it just gives it's 50% performance with iphones than with android or Samsung devices. Is it only with me or everyone facing that? It's same with my Oppo Enco X also, but with that Oppo devices sound just a li'l better than Samsung, but with iphones it's complete different story.
@@PaulsPOV Viper4Android is the best audio equaliser ever to exist on an Android device but to make it work you need to root the device, that eq is so good it can make a crappy headphone sound lifelike and phenomenal, just because of its crazy dsp trickery.
@@PaulsPOV But the thing is it will only support Android audio hal and will convert everything to 48 khz, rendering it useless for usb dac's anything you throw will be resampled even in high res audio players like hiby, UAPP etc. When I had cheap sounding headphones it use to be the best thing that ever happened to me, now as I have a costly high res setup I don't find the need for it, but I still do crave for that kind of sound now and then.
I have the same problem 🤣 After getting into Hi-Fi, it's difficult to go back to anything compressed. Once your ear acclimates to a higher resolution when you have a good source, everything else seems like a compromise.
@@PaulsPOV Exactly it's hard to explain to those people who have not tried true high res but it's more of a psychological thingy, there is a difference and it's kinda huge enough not to get back to crappy quality anymore.
Damn! I followed your guide, and they sound incredibly crisp and loud!
Enjoy your music 😊

BRO wavlet is so good thanks for the tip
Randomly found your video, it felt like, i got a hidden jem. Nice reviews bro... Keep up the good work. 👍👍👍👍
Great video. I actually like a ~30° line for my EQ settings. In other words, the bass is low, and everything increases linearly as you move to treble.
I prefer a flatter tuning too. It maintains a certain level of truness to the music with a slight flurry of colour. But my tunings do vary depending on the product I'm listening to.
