    This is a great review which has convinced me to buy one. I'm disabled so can't walk far, I've missed out on going out on walks with the family. But I don't want a traditional disability scooter, as they are too cumbersome for what I want [getting it through walking styles & gates], plus they are too big for manoeuvring around town/city. I only have one criticism for you, CORNERING with the inside peddle DOWN!!! Before I permanently tore my back at work aged 16, I was looking at road racing, I had contact with the then-England Olympic cycle coach/manager who was helping me with cycle parts & techniques. One thing that is a BIG, NO, NO is cornering with the inside peddle down. At worst the pedals should be level, at BEST the inside peddle should be UP!!! Try it & see how much more lean you can get, especially when going downhill fast & cornering. Keep up the good work, be safe & keep the rubber down, thanks!!!

    About three months ago I ordered a Kommoda and then the Ovia came out. Since I haven't unboxed the Kommoda I sent it back to get the Ovia. As I write this, the Ovia has been sitting unboxed for nearly a month in the garage and today my nephew is coming over and we will unveil this e-bike. Temperature is supposed to get to 69 degrees and I hope to ride it some today. I have seen a few e-bikers in very cold weather. In June I will be 79 years old.

    The suspension is not what is causing you to sway instead of turn. The higher speed and fatter tire is what turns your bike into a motorcycle/BMX sway/lean.

    Thanks for helping me choose, just bought this bike. I knew it would be big, but it is HUGE. My version has a crappy black and white LCD display, no options menu, no extra customisation, just bare basics. Besides that, I love it.

      It is a bit bigger than it looks like! Sucks about the display though...did you ask them about it? I think I got one of the first Ovias that made it over here, so it's possible they swapped displays for production, but they're using the same one on the new Trax and Ranger, so I would see if they could send you one ;) If you call their local US number, you can talk to the service team in Utah and they might be able to help. Worth a shot at least!

    Nice review love this bike how is it for off road woods trail riding? I am look for a step thru ebike with good power that can handle rooted up trails and a few small jumps nothing major. I don't care about peddling much and would be using it half the time off road. I need the best suspension I can get because I have health issues. Was thinking this bike or possibly a ariel rider x class 52v step thru not sure which bike would be more comfortable to ride for me I'm 55 and road dirt bike all my life but just want an ebike know for some cruising and fun. Nice review, Ennovation. I really enjoy all the detail incorporated into a very well produced presentation. This looks like a really high-quality e-bike. Enjoyed your take on the bike. The only question I have involves the pedal assist function. Can you change the settings for each pedal assist level for top mph in each level? Can you add additional levels? I customized those settings on my current e-bike (Magicycle Cruiser Step-Through). What great brake action this bike has! Very impressive. Hydraulic brakes really make the difference and that Logan brand seems very well designed. I also like the better ride this one seems to have with the extra suspension. I rode 2700+ miles on my e-bike this year. E-bikes allows us older riders to keep getting out. Thank you for this thorough review!

    I want to update you on my Ovia. Great bike. I do have a problem. The light and horn never worked. I was given a new light, but that didn't help. I requested a new light switch two months ago, but it has yet to come? What is going on? Today, after only 300 miles, I got my first flat. It is the rear tire, and a friend with an e-bike will come tomorrow to help me handle this problem. If I need a new inner tube, what size would I need? Remember I have a fat tire (4 inches)?

    No criticism of the video; they're always very professional and best on ebikes!
    One comment on the OVIA design though....Seems that the welcomed bottle anchors on the battery post will restrict the step through room for your foot if there's a bottle installed. Should have been higher but that would cover the OVIA name which obviously took preference. Shame.

    • @Ennovation
      @Ennovation  Год назад +3

      I appreciate the compliemtn on the video! :) And you're totally right! I generally don't attach a water bottle, so I will show that in the specs (and in the video of course) but thinking through with you there, it would definitely take away from the standover height. That's an excellent idea moving it higher up on the frame! Get the functionality of a bottle cage, but not lose out on the valuable step-over height either. I appreciate you perspective on that!

  • @ggebhard1
    @ggebhard1 Год назад +4

    I love all of your reviews! This one is special to me! The other day, you told me the seat height was 35". If I took off 2" from the seat post, to get it to the lowest height, it would be 33". I have a 30" inseam. I'm 5'2". I think it will be too tall for me. No integrated tail light, wide turns and the throttle connected to the PAS are all negative points. All things I could get used too, but for the price, I want to love the bike and not have to get used to it. I'm disappointed, because I love the color, the looks, the better battery, etc. compared to the Kommoda, but I want me feet to be on the ground. How tall is your wife? Would she ride this one, like she did the Kommoda to compare them for me? I think the peddle bottoms out on her on the Kommoda, when she hit those roots in the trail and that's why she didn't care for the Kommoda. She loves her Rad mini 2. Why did Rad stop making that popular bike? So disappointing, as I would have purchased one, months ago.

    • @ggebhard1

    • @Ennovation
      @Ennovation  Год назад +1

      No worries Gail! Yes, I remember when Mrs. Citizen rode the Kommoda! My wife is 5'4", and it is probably a bit too tall for her to put her feet flat on the ground. Most people have that issue, and to ride the step-through frame, generally you can get around that by dismounting to the front, and standing over the frame. And honestly on most of these fat tire bikes, if I put the seat where it is a good, sound riding position, I also have to dismount to the front. I don't love that, but it's just a technique to use on the bigger bikes, especially with the ease of the step-through frame.

    Please explain how the Ovia with a maximum seat height of 37.5" is for riders up to 6'6" while the Kommoda with a maximum seat height of 41.5" is only rated for riders up to 6'0". Is it just the handlebar height is higher on the Ovia whereas you could just add a stem riser to the Kommoda?

    • @Ennovation
      @Ennovation  Год назад +1

      Hahaha yeah I totally get how that doesn’t sound quite right. The Kommoda does have the adjustable stem, so that helps I imagine, but also, the way Cyrusher measures their seat height is from the floor, whereas most people measure that to the pedal at full extension. So that also may be a factor. And if I were 6’6” I imagine I’d be more comfortable on the Ovia. But that’s just my hot take. Lol

    • @v1p3d
      @v1p3d Год назад +1

      @@Ennovation So you are saying that if you had about 6" less legroom for a taller person that would be more comfortable. I sat on the Kommoda and at full seat extension my toes just barely hit the ground. How would someone be more comfortable with 4" less seat height and pedals that are higher off the ground? You would almost have your knees in your mouth. I am 6'4" and have a 36" inseam. Both bikes measure the seat height the same way, floor to top of seat.

      @Ennovation  Год назад +2

      Hey Gary! Yes for me, the low bottom bracket was the main thing that was a miss on the Kommoda for me. They fixed that here on the Ovia. One thing I didn't really touch on in the review was the folding pedals on the Ovia. They're fine, but would definitely upgrade these to a flatter pedal, and you probably wouldn't need the folding aspect anyway. It performs well on hills, on par with other 750W motors, gearing is okay for the task here.

    Great looking ebike and upgrade from the Kommoda...but for the price tag, and for safety of the rider, an integrated taillight/ brakelight should have been standard equipment. Come on Cyrusher, common sense and safety go alot further than cutting corners. Instead of waiting for the next edition or model, start adding this feature on the bike now and for the people that have already purchased one, offer to send this update free of charge and you'll probably sell more of this model.

      ReBonjour l'Allemagne ! Pour la solidité il faut savoir que les prix chinois forcément vont essayer de gagner sur certains points, par exemple le planétaire dans le moteur est pas toujours bien graissé et les engrenages du planétaire sont en plastique pour une raison économique et aussi pour atténuer le bruit des engrenages, des tutos sur RUclips explique comment remplacer les 3 engrenages en plastique par des produits en acier bien plus solide (voir aliexpress ou Amazon) avec un bon graissage au lithium ou graphite la durée de vie du moteur sera prolongé sans soucis.... Le châssis par contre est bien solide et en ajoutant un fond de jante anti crevaison le vélo devrait s'en porter mieux....

    to bad they mounted the rear rack to the swing arm...instead to the frame. So every thing you have on the rack gets banged around, instead of benefitting from the suspension system.

    Un bon vélo malheureusement, il manque des clignotants pour la sécurité routière , des rétroviseurs et une plastique de protection devant contre les vents quand on descend les pentes. Améliorer ces choses et la puissance du Moteur, une autonomie à 200Km pour une seule charge etc..En Allemagne, les gens aiment et adorent rouler avec les vélos électriques moderne qui roulent vites pour arriver vite au travail et faire des voyages à vélo électrique pendant les week-end, des vélos électriques moderne solide, rustique, qui résistent à toutes sortes d'intempéries et qui roulent vites en circulation routière, dans les compagnes, en piste cyclable etc.. Une amélioration du vélo électrique moderne avec des bons paramètres en terme de puissance, d'autonomie, qualité et prix ne peut que attirer plus de clientèle Germanique et dans l'ensemble de l'ensemble de l'Europe, à l'heure où les gens sont assoiffés de rouler avec des vélos électriques moderne qui manifestent plus de puissance et d'autonomie en route pour aller travailler, car le vélo électrique moderne en Allemagne, c'est l'avenir du déplacement pour arriver travail et faire des voyages, utiliser moins la voiture. Déjà, beaucoup des Entreprises industrielle allemande en Allemagne, encouragent les travailleurs à rouler plus avec le vélo électrique moderne. IL ne reste qu'à améliorer progressivement, la qualité de la production industrielle de ces vélos électriques moderne pour attirer plus de la clientèle en Europe.

    Honestly much to expensive compared to the Commoda. Nothing real better, but much more expensive. Higher ground clearance = costs nothing more. So in my mind newer but not really better.

      @Ennovation  Год назад

      Hey Tim! Do you feel that it really is a big deal? Or I made it a bigger deal than it actually was? ;) It's one of those things I usually point out when it's different from a traditional bike, and although when you're going at speed, it definitely isn't much of a factor, maneuvering it around the garage, or turning at slow speeds (to maneuver around objects, or make the turn onto a sidewalk) I did notice that I had to make the turns wider to accomodate for the lack of movement there. Definitely not a deal breaker, but just something I like to mention for people who wouldn't get a chance to test ride it, should they order it directly to their house.

    • @Timbodacious
      @Timbodacious Год назад +2

      @@Ennovation nah its not a big deal you just learn to lift the rear wheel up by the seat and turn it around faster. its also not a problem because virtually nobody is going to be doing any slow speed technical rocky trails on this bike where they have to do extremely tight turns haha

    I noticed you didn't mention at all who this bike is made for in height. You completely ignored this fact even though it was one of your headings. What an ignorant way to go about making a video. Just completely ignore one of the main things that people ask about. A big 👎down for me.

      @Ennovation  Год назад +3

      Hi Liz! Super fair point! We deserve the thumbs down, and we look to do better in the future! For the measurements, we always have those in the description,
      GEOMETRY MEASUREMENTS:
      20.50" Reach, 18" Stand Over Height, 29" Minimum Saddle Height, 33.5" Maximum Saddle Height, 28" Width, 49" Wheel Base, 71" Length
      The two main things to look at when deciding what sized person will fit on this bike would be the standover and the reach, then the min/max saddle distances. Hope this helps! :)
