  • When you have a chance to try authentic Japanese foods, you will find some pickled vegetables are served alongside. This video demonstrates how to make pickled napa, or Chinese cabbage, in salted rice yeast, which is so-called “bettara-dsuke”. This sweet-pickling method is a local specialty of Tokyo area.

    Wow, great. I would love to see how to clean and marinate fish like mackerel.

    This looks fairly easy to make. The only problem I will have is finding some of the ingredients but there is always Amazon. Thank you for sharing.

    This looks eerily similar to kimchi.

      Because kimichi and this are both picked cabbages. Actually, the napa cabbage is a Chinese cabbage.
