Estes Saturn V launch with F15-4 motor 12/7/2024

The top section of this model was built from an old Estes kit (model 1969) that I found on EBay. The lower section is actually from the newer Estes Skylab kit, which is identical to the Saturn V except that it accepts the larger F15 motor. This project took me many months to complete and after finishing it I decided to place it on my desk where I admired it for almost 2 years. I was actually afraid to launch it until Estes very recently re-released the kit - now with the F15 motor tube assembly. So I went and launched it, and it all returned to me in one piece. Now that it has proven its airworthiness it’ll retire back to its worthy place on my desk.
