Looks great Tony, I just got my new Husky 395XP and today I will use it on some large logs averaging 42". The big maple log is 54" at the butt and 46" at the small end. For that I will mill it with my 64" bar on an Granberg Alaskan chain saw mill. Ron
After seeing what that saw could do I thought I would probably not want to handle rounds from it.wow is all I can say again thank you for the video and your work enjoyed the time well spent.
I have one myself. Awesome saw. I’d throw some loctite on your recoil pivot bolt. Mine came loose and ruined recoil. After helicoil and new drum all fixed now. Your low end you set perfect. Your hi was a little rich. 1/8-1/4 turn in you’d be perfect. Nice video 👍
Tony, I have a tractor similar in size to yours. I find that using a bucket tilted forward and held close to the ground will eliminate the offending forage around your project. I use this technique to clean up after felling and prior to a burn.
I have the little top handle neotec and it’s a pretty solid little saw. For the saw and extended 3 year warranty it was like $150. So if it breaks down within 4 years they’ll end me a new one. Cant really beat that for the price.
I've got this saw with a different bar just got a new chain and I am having trouble staring the saw. The choak option doesn't go all the way to the open choak position. The arborist who gave it to me was able to start it right up. Not sure what I may be doing wrong I've got 4 more chain saws I use on a regular basis. Thanks.
I have a Husky 288 I bought somewhere around 20 years ago, it has literally thousands of hours on it and it's just now getting broken in. Back then though it only cost about $800
Hey I just got the NS8105 for Christmas and am new to chainsaws. The manual calls for leaded fuel which I didn't think we can get in the States? It also seems to call for 25:1 fuel mix, which seems really potent beyond the break-in period. What fuel type and mix ratio would you recommend?
nice video.i just ordered the same saw. i have a bunch of 63 inch diameter ash logs so i thought i would take a chance on the neotek.after i cut the big stuff i will put a 24 or 28 inch on it
I just bought the Neotec NH 865 saw (Husqvarna Clone) on Amazon and have yet to break it in. Will be waiting for better weather this week in Central Florida, as it's been raining on and off delaying my ability to use the saw to cut up some firewood from felled trees in my yard.
@@TonysTractorAdventure It's really well put together and fits my Husqvarna 20" Rancher bar and chain well. I had to step drill out the hole to be a bit bigger in the bar for the chain tensioner peg to fit through in the clutch cover, but other than that there was nothing wrong with how the parts fit together. I just ordered a large tree felling bar spike kit for the saw so that I can have spikes on both side of the bar to make it easier to rock the saw while cutting through thick pieces of logs.
Needs a little better tuning on the car if you can hear it sputtering. It's not supposed to be doing that under power especially bogging down that much. I don't know if this thing could handle it or not but a good porting and jetting would probably make it run about right, or like a saw should anyways. That thing is bogging bad and the chain speed is severely low
Big thumbs up. I just today got my Mac 10-10 tuned up with new 24 for nch bar and chain for a big log and boy now I know what it’s like to have a big enough bar and chain to do the job. I bought a COOCHEER brush cutter few years back and that puppy has RUN and worked great with no maintenance! Coocheer chainsaws have bad reviews on Amazon and seem only come with a 20 inch bar I want a 24 inch minimum

Hey Tony, Nice video that was one big tree! I was wondering if i could use this chainsaw as a trencher? I need something to help me dig in to the ground
I love my neotec(s). I put straight shot mufflers one mine and they rip! That saw needs just a little more tuning. Btw, for nor being professionals you have alot of nice equipment!
At some point I will tune the Neo Tec. Don't save money but buy equipment, tools, food and land. Then you will be monetarily wealthy. True wealth can only be found in the heart.
Hey bud one thing don't use that pre-made mixed gas you're better off buying fresh higher octane gas from the gas station. And mix it with some good mix synthetic blend.
I appreciate your opinion on this but totally disagree. I leave my chainsaw sitting for months at a time. I have never had one gum up using the premix. This exact saw set for over 6 months. It cranked on the third pole. I did tune it, in a later video. It is an absolute beast now. It's actually scary how powerful it is.
Yes they do. Have 4of these clones, 2 FT and 2NT. All run well only parts I have changed are the chain tensioners and clutch springs on one. The multi function switches on FT clones don’t give a high idle so they have been changed out with OEM. Great saws
Farmertec make Stihl/Husq knockoffs that are similar to this one. I've looked at buying the real deal, but I haven't been able to justify the name brand price either. Looks like it was able to make wood glitter. Will be curious to see how long it lasts. I'll probably end up with a clone as well.
It looks as it will hold up, but time will tell. If it does, it is a good value. I was super happy with the woodchip glitter. I just got a 30 degree full chisel chain. It is not a skip tooth. I am excited to see what it will do on the big saw.
Haven't used it yet. Had a fuel mix snafu amd had a hard time getting it to run. Once I figured that out, I let it burn a tank and a half to break it in. I've got about 15 feet of 40" oak and 30 of 30" oak to cut up. Hoping to get a bunch of live edge tables and stools out of them. Trees been sitting there for two years. Finally able to cut them up! 😀
I've put together about a dozen of the farmertec ms660 clones. They're a pretty decent saw. I replaced the decompression buttons with a real Stihl part, because the farmertec button was garbage, but the rest of the parts were decent. I never had any complaints from the people I sold them to. The one I kept has lots of hours on an Alaskan mill and still works good.
@@TonysTractorAdventure I built the saws over a couple of years. Some of the first ones I built had bad cylinder castings, which farmertec replaced, and poorer quality plastic parts.
