  • How To Turn A Wine Bottle Into A Lamp
Warning!!! I do not advise drilling into thin/slime bottles using this method! 750ml and up are okay.
This is one of the most requested videos on this channel and the only reason I was hesitating on doing it was because of the drilling. I like to decorate the wine bottles, not potentially losing some of my fingers trying to drill holes in the glass lol! However, after practicing and getting the hang of it, I realized, the fear was all in my head. It's actually pretty easy and I didn’t break one bottle… of course, you have to be careful and do this with caution regardless because it can be dangerous if you’re not. I know there are probably other ways of cutting the glass bottles but this is the way I did it. Do all your research before doing it and go with the method you feel comfortable and safe with. I also didn’t think I would be able to assemble the bottle lamp kit but I did. It really is just a matter of taking your time and reading the instructions. I’m so happy I did, I’ve been wanting to make my own lamps for a while and now I can. I hope everyone enjoys this video and that it was helpful. If you want to show your love and support please don’t forget to thumbs up the video, comment, and share my videos. I appreciate all the support that you guys give me. It is why I work so hard to bring you the best content I can possibly bring you. See you all next week. Love you all and God bless!

    A tiny bit about myself:
Hi, my name is Ivelisse. I've been artistic and creative my whole life. Unfortunately, it wasn't an easy one. I'm a survivor of many trials and tribulations. It caused me to develop serious mental health issues. I was self-medicating by using drugs and alcohol for over twenty years. On August 1st, 2014, I threw myself at the mercy of the Lord and prayed to God to save me. I asked God to forgive me for all my sins, and I forgave everyone who ever hurt me. I've been sober and clean ever since. Glory be to God! I started my walk with Christ along with my health and fitness Journey, and soon after, I found myself itching to get back to my passion, my art! But: I didn't just want to do it for myself. I wanted to share what God blessed me with and did for me and the joy He brings me to others. Not long after, I created my RUclips channel, DIY No Need To Cry! I took the bottles that were killing me and turned them into art. With each piece I make, I replace a bad memory and create new ones with all of you! Welcome to the crafty fam! God bless you all!

I have been wondering for months how to drill a hole in a glass bottle and every tutorial I've seen has seemed way too complicated and beyond my skill level. Thanks for posting this.

OK. These are the clearest, simplest instructions I have ever heard! I am the most NON electrical/mechanical person on the planet and I did this! The hardest part was threading the metal tube into the adapter! My fingers are killing me! But everything else is simple. I need to go buy a lamp shade and then we will be all set! My husband will be amazed when he returns home the day after tomorrow and sees what I did! I am so proud of myself!!! Thank you!!!!

I have a lamp that I love however I cannot get it to turn on but watching your channel I am going to see if I can purchase a light kit and rewire my lamp so that I can continue to use it I was going to throw it out. 2 tips to make things safer and easier.
    1) They make grommets that will fit the hole drilled in the bottle and the wire threads through that. This protects the wire from being scrapped by the rough glass and prevents shorting it out.
    2) When you attach the wire to the socket bend the wire over the screw clockwise as this is the direction the screw is tightened and it will be much less likely to strip out.
OK, I just thought of something else, 3 ;-) Try drilling the cork out with a bit slightly undersized of the threaded rod. It's small enough and soft enough you could probably hold it in your hand keeping the drill at a slower speed.
Cool though the cork idea. I don't think I've ever had one of those stoppers fit well and the corks are always long gone but I'm going to try to get them at a craft store. Thanks ;-)

Awesome tip! I knew about the rubber grommets I just couldn't find them but that tip about the drill, whoohoo! That would have been a lot easier lol! Next time! Thanks, Charlie! Happy crafting! 🤗
