    I use old coffee grounds instead of dirt. Works great and smells great with the cinnamon. Your lamp is beautiful!

    That vessel is dirty, spicy and sensational! ❤ it. Now l know l'm not so crazy, when l raid our spice rack and use left over tea bags to attack my art pieces. 🙏

    I’ve flipped some of the same lamps but not with cinnamon. I’ve used brown makeup pigment and then seal. Idk something about food/spice doesn’t sit right. Still, This turned out great!

    Great tutorial, really made the process simple for someone like me who has never tried this! Didn't have a list of 12 items I need to buy, very inexpensive way to update a lamp or vase. I am a new subscriber. Thanks for sharing your talent.

    I loved that base! I know it doesn’t look like something from Pottery Barn…
    Also,
    You made a point of wiping this lamp that you brought down with germ killing wipes just to add dirt from your backyard later that doesn’t even make sense .

    Beautiful work! One question though...what did you do with the electric cord after you removed the base, as that allowed for the lamp to not sit on the cord?

    Not gonna lie, I really loved this one before you added dark colors.
    I’m starting to think that the dirt and cinnamon process has kinda played out already. Might just be me. 😂
    But that white, textured finish was classic and beautiful! ❤

      Hi! I have tried it but I find the product doesn’t stay as well if it’s going to be touch but if you do it on a vase and leave it then I don’t see why not!

    What did you do with the main bar of the lamp shade that comes out of the bottom of the lamp? After I pried the base off the bottom the lamp shade sits cock-eyed because the main bar has nothing to attach to

    do you mix the cinnamon with water before applying it onto the lamp or do you rub the cinnamon on in its dry form?

    • @britttanywalker
      @britttanywalker  Год назад +1

      Hi!! I just rub it on dry.! But honestly you can do both! And getting it wet wouldn’t be a bad idea! It would be the same idea as when I get the dirt wet to create mud! 🤎

      I do use flat. But I am actually about to Roman clay the walls. They hold up fine but it’s from a new build paint so I’m sure they used the cheapest paint they could find😂
