  • Just in time for Christmas is this beautiful repurposed whisky bottle lamp PERFECT for the alcoholic in your life, just kidding, it works for anyone! Light up that hangover with 3 agonizing levels of brightness with a 3-way socket connected to standard lamp wiring components and accessories.
    EVERYTHING YOU'LL NEED HERE:
    - Bottle of Your Choice
    - Lamp Shade Of Choice
    - 3 Way Socket: goo.gl/v0Vrg8
    - 3 Way Bulb: goo.gl/dw6bmp
    - Wiring: goo.gl/Y2z9uV
    - Threaded Rod: goo.gl/rWL2WP
    - Decorative Neck: goo.gl/SwfUxQ
    - Diamond Dust Drill Bits: goo.gl/vas3gW
And the washer and nut that secured the threaded rod to the cap came from a local hardware store. Take the rod and cap with you to get the size you need. It all depends on the bottle and cap size.

Super cool, but I think it would be even better if there was a bulb in the bottle so that it lit up all those glass pieces. Super cool though! Thanks for sharing!

COOL! I have a rum bottle that I have been trying to decide what to do with. The only issue I might for see is the hole in the back of the bottle. I don't have a drill press.

No worries! A hand drill works just as fine. The most important things are an area for the water to sit, and to use the right drill bit. Thanks for watching!

Great clear tutorial... want to make one from a Jack Daniels bottle for my son for Christmas... great tip about putting the hot glue well for the oil?? or water?? seen one where they have to continually stop to put oil on the bit... Thanks for the tutorial....

I was actually going to use crack rocks but didn't have enough money :/ maybe next time

I suppose also with crack rocks will be great, and if you have a river or some place where to colect some rocks and after that to crack them, this is free of charge.

Thank you for making such a great video. I've been wanting to do this for a long time, and thanks to you and your video, I finally can!!
I just had a couple of questions if you could help me out. The hot glue is a great idea. So I'm assuming the glue has to dry before drilling the hole and filling with water? Afterwards, how do you get the glue off of the bottle and will it leave a film of any kind?
Also, can the hot glue method be done if there's a label where the hole is going (like a Jack Daniels bottle)? Will the glue take the label off?
Thank you so much for your help with this.
    I really appreciate it.

Hey thanks Joe, glad to hear I can help. Not sure about hot glue over the label. I would try it out on another label or on a small part of the back of the bottle. Over glass it dries quick, just peels off and doesn’t leave a mark. Let me know how the project goes!

@@Bretts_Builds Thanks Brett. Yeah I guess I could try a different part of the bottle, thats a good idea. Maybe the side or something.
I'm looking forward to starting this project.
      Thanks again buddy.
