    I made 2 lamps using the same bottle. You can make a cleaner install by placing a rubber grommet in the hole you drilled where the wire will pass. For a firmer hold of the head unit, we used the bottle’s own cork. Drilled a hole to pass the hardware and dremell the top portion of the cork to a snug fit to not crack the lid.

    I did 2 lamps using your instructions. Thank you

    The knot in the wire before hooking the wire ends to the screws is for safety. If someone trips on the cord the wires won't pull out from the screws and possibly cause a fire. It's called an underwriter's knot.

    Made mine! Worked great! I actually glued the silver cork onto the top of the lampshade! I'd add a pic if I could!🤪

    Can anyone recommend the best kit to use for this? Most of the ones I'm seeing don't have that "cork" part to put in the opening of the bottle, and I'm worried mine will be loose. Appreciate it & hope everyone has a great Christmas!

    This is so cool! I have a quick question regarding the lamp. How big is the bottle? Is it a regular 750 ml bottle of tequila to 1.75 L. It seems so big. However, because you had to drill for a while, the ceramic might be thick and it would be a regular amount of tequilla.

    • @thebuckaroos6135
      @thebuckaroos6135  2 года назад

      Bottle shows 750 ml but I agree it is larger then normal, it has a tall neck and the ceramic is about 1/4 thick if I had to guess or alittle less

    How would you go about doing this without the drilling if it’s even possible I got the bottle from my in laws and would love to gift it back to them as a lamp but I’m so afraid I might break it when I drill it and I can’t even afford buying another bottle or even fathom asking them for a second

    • @thebuckaroos6135
      @thebuckaroos6135  Год назад

      Yes, the light bulb socket has the option to have the cord come out of the side instead of the bottom, the cord will just be seen from the side

  • @mialove781

    Why was this not drilled with a diamond drill bit with water?
    Thats not just ceramic dust - that is smoke. You’re lucky you didn’t crack the bottle.

    • @thebuckaroos6135
      @thebuckaroos6135  5 месяцев назад

      My bad, I guess after the 34 bottles I have done and only crack one by pushing to hard, I don’t know what I’m doing, also definitely not smoke but then again I’m probably wrong about that as well! Thanks for the input! Let me know when you make a video so I can see how it’s done!

      @@thebuckaroos6135 I asked a question, as well as speaking the truth about what I was watching on your video. Why are you being snarky with me? You’re triggered because I said that? An amateur watching your video may not know to use a diamond drill bit with water and could end up cracking their bottle. Thats the only reason I asked. I never insulted you or said you didn’t know what you were doing. Forgive me for asking a question and wording it incorrectly. By the way; being snarky is not how to get more followers.
      It is smoke. Ceramic dust doesn’t float up into the air the way it was here in your video. But you obviously know everything there is to know which is why you can be snarky to strangers asking questions. Forgive me for not seeing that you are THE ABSOLUTE PERFECT HUMAN here on earth.
      Your rude! I’m a stranger to you and you’re perfectly triggered by my asking a question and making reference to what I see happening on the video.
      Beautiful lamp. Great job. I’m glad it didn’t crack when you were drilling a hole into it.
      Thank you for your kind response.
