Whaaat? No visit to Green Gables??? (clutches pearls) ... I know office workers in Toronto who spend their whole summer on the Island because of the lovely people and relaxed vibe.
On the fifth minute they visited green gables..
So glad I found this video. Born and raised on PEI and its so easy to forget just how lucky we are to live here. Great job showing how beautiful our little island is :)

For our 20th anniversary my husband and I went to PEI, staying one night at the West Point Lighthouse. With all your stops on this island I'd love to go back. We entered the island via the extremely long bridge. Of course we had to stop at the Anne of Gables sights. The red sand beaches were wonderful and the warm water made it a relief from the hot day.
Juat discovered your channel today , hello from New Brunswick 😊 i love your positivity you bring as tourists , also i reslly enjoy that you encorporate bits of local history and stories . I love P.E.I so much . Did you get a chance to explore Cavendish and see the sights of Anne of Green Gables , also the confederation bridge linking the island to NB is awesome to drive across ❤

After 12 yrs of not being there I finally got to go back in July and going again at the end of September. Family down there and miss it again already. Great video. Keep it up!
And yes the thing about p.e.i is if you ask for directions or anything, be willing to talk. 🤣 so friendly and talkative there.

Nice video guys. I'm born and raised in Summerside PEI. You missed a couple things, one is Greenwich beach in St Peters. It has a boardwalk over protected marsh lands and a nature trail just to get to the beach. A lot of people don't go there because of the long walk to get to the beach, but it is white sands for as far as you can see and very few people. Best beach on the Island! The singing sands around Basin Head are really cool as well. When you walk on the sand, it makes weird squeaky sounds and the beach is to die for as well. And You also should have left the Island on the Confederation Bridge rather than the ferry. It is the longest bridge in the world over Ice covered waters and an experience all in itself. And once you hit the other side, you are in NB and only a short drive to Moncton and Magnetic Hill. Glad you enjoyed the Island. If you ever come back, look us up, we are always camping around the three provinces in the summer. Safe Travels!

You covered some of our favorite PEI spots. We stay at Twin Shores all summer so it was nice to see your experience here. I was surprised you didn’t take the Confederation Bridge to New Brunswick which is much faster than the ferry.

YUM-MY Ice creams! HUGE lobsters! CUTESY towns and villages! Yep, yep, and YEP! I could just drive and camp in our “Lucy” all over PEI, it’s so beautiful, yet quaint. I now remember my old BF’s address was in Charlottetown, but his grandpa’s farm was out in the boonies…what a fun place to visit. Just got back from the maritimes and we were on PEI we sat for a long time at the Malpeque Oyster Barn eating until we couldn’t

Shame you couldn't fit in a visit to one of the north Shore beaches, like at Greenwich, which also has an incredible boardwalk. Beautiful white sand, but colder water.
You can find the same red sandstone cliffs, beaches and sand bars, and warm water, on the other side of the strait on the NS and NB shores.
How do y’all continue to find such amazing locations?! Love your channel

Yes, Confederation Bridge, we took it both ways, the ferry cost was a little steep for our cheapness.

Both my parents are from the island and I have spent many summers all over the island there over the last 50 years. I have never visited Holman's so thanks for that tip! Why did you not take the bridge to go to New Brunswick?
Just to let you know, the ferry you were on had a fire on it few weeks ago. They had to abandon ship, thankfully very close to shore. Nobody hurt.

LOL, Anne is a literary icon. There was a wonderful made for TV movie of Anne's story. Worth getting a hold of to watch. I'm assuming you have a dvd player in the van.It's probably a RUclips movie. Was a minor disappointment, loved your video.

The ferries have their own wifi, you didn’t need to use your data at all.

How do you not gain weight with all of those delicious foods you eat? What happened to green gables? That would be my first stop.
Lots and lots of walking 🤣 and we don't eat like that every day! So we debated green gables but I told Howard I'd take full responsibility on answering about that. I felt like because neither one of us read the books, we wouldn't be able to fully appreciate it. So it's part of our homework for next time!
What breed of dog is that at 0:38 seconds?
We aren't 100% sure! 🤣 She's our Mexican beach dog and we've never done a DNA test on her. We think she has some pointer in her. She's only about 30 lbs!
@@NewstateNomads She reminds me of my 12 year old puppy, who passed away last month. She was a mix of Border Collie, Australian Shepard, and Cocker Spaniel. Longer hair than yours but lots of life while she was here on earth, like your dog .
