I'm subscribing half way through because I like how technical you get, don't lose that. Projector housing with halogen bulbs, french style stitching, etc.
Vehicle manufacturers never cease to amaze me. The list on this truck is over $60,,000 and they won't throw in a sprayed-bed liner! The liner would cost the truck buyer about $500; the dealer's cost is probably $50.
It seems to me that it is a wonder the dealers make any money at all. Apparently, they are selling everything for cost. My thinking is the body shop techs are on duty, regardless if they are working on anything. One or 2 hours labor to spray a liner for the dealer's cost of labor is $40? The liner product is what, $40 a gallon. The dealer then charges $500 on an option for a $60,000 truck. Whew.
I had a Z71 Silverado and the trans made strange noises, etc. I didn't like the gauges and bulb lights, turn sigs. I went to RAM and love this truck, have 97K miles now and tow a large 15K trailer. I've NEVER been to the dealer with a problem. Not one issue and running perfect. Love the truck and love the gauges, LED turn and brake lights, camera systems, great air conditioning. Awesome truck times onethousand. Mine is a Mega Cab which is un-real. No one makes a truck with that much room and once you own one you will never have another truck
Nice job as always. I definitely like the new video layout that you have moved too with lots of footage and transitions to show off the vehicle while you are talking. I also like the short video of you turning the wheels. It definitely gives you a clear picture of what you are looking at. Great job.
Fantastic content 👍 be Aware that the gasket around the third break light on the cab wears out and will leak in the cab under the backseat and soak everything. I use a little dab of 3m black silicone once a year to save any saturated headaches . But again great content, thanks for the detailed coverage.
The Ram really does a nice job with the interior. I am trading in my 2014 Ram on a 2017 Superduty and the interior on the Ford is so inferior that I am questioning the change.
Troy Mustgrave when you drive any Dodge you'll never go back. I've put 111k miles on my 04 Hemi and never have taken it in. Summer of 2018 I'm getting a new dodge for sure though. Getting a lot of horses so I'm planning to move to the D
On another note, at 11 min 32 sec and 11 min 36 sec in this video, there are 3 dimples in the truck bed next to the tailgate closing. They are about halfway up the side of the pillar on both sides of the truck. I am not sure of the purpose for Ram/Dodge engineers to put these on the truck bed, but I along with some others have found that these dimples align exactly with the drilling template when installing an Amp Research Bed Xtender. Maybe this was the purpose from the factory, but that does seem a bit odd since the Bed Xtender is not offered with the purchase of the vehicle or offered from the accessories department either.
Thinking to myself this is the truck i need and then i remember that these cost money and that id be able to afford one in like 10 years....why do i do this to myself lol
Never owned a Dodge and I was falling in love with this truck, until I saw the labeling @19:47.... Assembled in Mexico. Is this a Mexican truck? Wth? Mike, you did a great review, and as detailed as I've seen. 1 thing I'd like to see is the yellow decal inside the drivers door, shows the GVWr and payload weights for that specific vehicle. Dodge has stepped up the luxury working truck, and I like it. Idk if I can get over that mexico thing tho. Thanks for posting.
"Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) is a non-hazardous solution, which is 32.5% urea and 67.5% de-ionized water. DEF is sprayed into the exhaust stream of diesel vehicles to break down dangerous NOx emissions into harmless nitrogen and water. This system is called Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR)and can be found on 2010 and later model year trucks and many diesel pickups and SUVs. DEF is not a fuel additive and never comes into contact with diesel. It is stored in a separate tank, typically with a blue filler cap." www.discoverdef.com/def-overview/faq/#def
+Dustin Hart It depends on how the truck it used. It may need to fill up every 2000 miles for heavy hauling or it could last as much as 10k miles with light duty use.
I'll tell you what DEF is: it's cow pee! It makes the newer diesels burn cleaner and makes them harder to start. My town bought a new $100,000 dump truck to plow snow with. If the truck is left out in the cold for more than 10 minutes in the wintertime, they can't restart it. The EPA has ruined the diesel engine. At the moment, Kubota Tractor is researching bringing back the gas engine for their tractors due to the problems with the new diesel emissions.
Hey Dustin there's a gauge on the dash cluster that tells you when to add more, I believe its a 5 gallon tank, I have to refill mine every 5k miles give or take, depends on towing etc
Here in Brazil the Ram 2500 laramie costs $ 80,000. The minimum wage in Brazil is $ 280 monthly. imagine that the minimum wage in the United States is 880.00 dollars per month and the Ram 2500 laramie would cost $ 252,990. So here in Brazil it is exactly like that.
...so evidently the Brazilian government has induced some sort of import tariff/tax so thats an example of unfair trade towards the US. That classic WW since US products and services are extremely inflated when 'imported' into countries thats not adjacent to the US of A.
Thanks :) I am not always able to film driving scenes. This truck should be experienced in person with your own test drive anyway. It is impossible to convey a test drive objectively anyway.
Mrjoecreeper If I'm not mistaken, I've seen many of the 2017 Laramie's with the pretty aggressive looking front grille with RAM across the middle sticking out and on the back tailgate, it has RAM taking up most of the back tailgate, not a bad look, right aggressive looking.
I'm trying to figure out why they put the manual transmission mode shift buttons on the column shifter rather than above the cruise control buttons like on the 1500.
The Moose it's a lot but for high end users honestly. The payload of this thing is nuts! I have a friend that owns one but she pulls 15 2 thousand pound horses at a time, not including the trailer or gear wait inside it too
You guys all do these truck videos about the slick little features but you never mention how much weight they can haul or tow which is more important than the heated seats in the rear.
Yes if the house is within 100 yards of the truck. My car has the same remote start system and it is amazing ruclips.net/video/XItRFWzKhe8/видео.html ruclips.net/video/6k_Ld31Kqu4/видео.html
i hope trump takes sway all that useless regulations obama put on diesel engines ,the idea was to discourage big trucks companies to keep makeing them ,my brother been a cummings diesel. for 40 years and he tells me it's all bunch of bull the new clean air on diesel engines.
This truck is superior in towing and payload capabilities.... not not to mention the 800+ lb-ft of torque. Raptor is made for a completely different purpose.
I'm a chevy guy but damn I want this truck.
I'm subscribing half way through because I like how technical you get, don't lose that. Projector housing with halogen bulbs, french style stitching, etc.

Not everyone wants a spray-in bedliner. If the factory charges $500 then the dealer cost is $500... dealer make almost no money on new vehicles.
It seems to me that it is a wonder the dealers make any money at all. Apparently, they are selling everything for cost. A Stanton1966 my spray in was free along with a bunch of other shit try asking instead of whinning
A Stanton1966 bought the same one new came out to 42000 after negotiating for 2 hours haha
Such a nice truck. No one does it like RAM.
im a sucker for a vehicle with a great sound system, and WOW... that sounded CRISP. and very punchy.
THANK YOU MIKE! I've been waiting for this for so long! Especially Laramie...
I had a Z71 Silverado and the trans made strange noises, etc. I didn't like the gauges and bulb lights, turn sigs. I went to RAM and love this truck, have 97K miles now and tow a large 15K trailer. Great review Mike i'm loving the content as always.
I spent many of nights riding up and down Madison Street. Great video sir.
Mike another nice thorough review. I liked seeing the underside of the truck as well. Interesting to see the size of the DEF tank. Nice job.
I always like the ram sideview mirrors when it’s in the upward position for me it’s look like the horn of a bull
I'm a die hard Ford fan boy but I have to admit...kinda liking the interior of the Ram better.
Thanks for watching and your feedback :)
This truck is nicer and ride better than the Denali or platinum
Nice job as always. I definitely like the new video layout that you have moved too with lots of footage and transitions to show off the vehicle while you are talking. Thats my dream truck , great review 👍
Very good ram tour, thank you, excellent..
Thank you for watching Daryl :)

Thanks for watching and your feedback :)
Wow. Still zero dislikes... impressed.
Awesome job as always, great video, great truck and of course great music!
Awesome tour, buying a 2018 when they come out.
Absolutely fantastic video you have done here thank you so much and I really really want this truck.
I love mine!!! And I was a ford guy but once I drove it it was love lol
Troy Mustgrave when you drive any Dodge you'll never go back. I've put 111k miles on my 04 Hemi and never have taken it in. Summer of 2018 I'm getting a new dodge for sure though. Getting a lot of horses so I'm planning to move to the D
cabin is a bit noisy but i guess it is minuscule compared what this vehicle has to offer as a package, nice work Mike
Outdid themselves! Hopefully getting one next year
I just got one on Tuesday but I have the brown interior, I love my new truck
Great vid Mike! The only things that I don't like are the not assist bed door and they use halogen on headlamps instead of HID or LED.
Ugly is nice, so far no recalls. A real ute and not a toy like the rest with big power and big presence :)
Thanks for the great review.

With the Cummins this is the best HD truck
Cummins should be in the Power wagon

Great Video well done! :)
Love Chevy's but dammn this truck just takes the icing love this truck big time!!!
i wish u can review more with the transfer case button rather than console functions
ram thought of everything
Great review Mike! What is DEF fluid?
"Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) is a non-hazardous solution, which is 32.5% urea and 67.5% de-ionized water. Do you have to add it every time you add Diesel fuel or how does that work ? I've never heard of it.

great choice for the engine

Henrique Fernandes and your point? Move out of that shitty country or shut the fuck up
...so evidently the Brazilian government has induced some sort of import tariff/tax so thats an example of unfair trade towards the US. That classic WW since US products and services are extremely inflated when 'imported' into countries thats not adjacent to the US of A.
Henrique Fernandes but you guys keep electing socialist presidents and governments. This is what happens. It's your fault.
James Breen And the garbage ass Repubs and Dems here in the USA are any better? Maybe on Mars....
Hakeem Mulholland 100x better. The USA isn't a communist 3rd world country.... yet.
Awesome video, I watched every second. But! Why didn't and weren't you able to drive the truck?
Thanks :)
I am not always able to film driving scenes. This truck should be experienced in person with your own test drive anyway. It is impossible to convey a test drive objectively anyway.
Very nice.
To remove rear headrests you have to press two buttons on each metal upright One button wont release it
fit for a king
My papa has a 2016 Ram Dark Red 1500 EcoDiesel it's sooooooooooo nice
You r awesome @ car reviews
Just found your channel, it's awesome, can you please do the 2017 duramax denali when it comes out.?
Thanks Roger i'll try :)
So what's the difference between this and the 2016 version?
me too. what are the differences from 2016 ?
I was told "icons are a little different in the NAV system"....
I woke up in a new dodge ram.
I woke up in a new Dodge ram.
Damm i Love this Truck ❤
You'd think this dude had never seen hood lifts before. So funny.
Could you please do the Ford F-150 XLT
I'm trying to figure out why they put the manual transmission mode shift buttons on the column shifter rather than above the cruise control buttons like on the 1500.
What would be good is air ride seating for the driver and passenger
Totally unnecessary. The seats are really comfortable and supportive. Air ride would be distracting with too much deflection and movement.
Nice
What year did they start using DEF?
Wait a minute I have the truck
