    Why can’t we have teachers/ professors like you. I swear I lean more from our RUclips educators than I do from my real professors. Thank you for carrying us. Eternally grateful for you. May you be blessed with long and healthy life. Just know your hard work means a lot to us. We appreciate you more than you could ever know.

    I am so grateful for your superb explanations. You simplify complex concepts -which is much more difficult to do than most realize. Your lectures have single-handedly supplemented my understanding in my genetics and chemistry studies and I am forever grateful. What an incredible teacher and humanitarian you are, thank you! May your life and hard work be rewarded for you have touched and helped countless people.

      Khan academy is produced assuming everyone watching has no background or remote clue about the idea discussed. Here, you're supposed to be sorta familiar so it's understandable why it's more concise. Don't shit on Khan Academy lol.

    WOW FINALLY SOMEONE DEFINING INDEPENDENT ASSORTMENT IN A WAY THAT I CAN UNDERSTAND WHAT IS GOING ON

  • @surinlee593
    @surinlee593 2 года назад

    Excellent explanation! To simplify, the Law of independent assortment is saying that the probability of two genes ending up in the SAME gamete is the same as the probability of two genes ending up in a DIFFERENT gamete.

    Would independent assortment lead to different traits (physical) in a human being? ex. the assortment of my genes leads to a different hight or hair color or is that just my genes.

    Hi, could I ask if independent assortment occur in metaphase 2 as well since there are different possible arrangements of non identical sister chromatids( due to recombination during crossing over) during metaphase 2 of meiosis 2 ?

    So is it the single arm chromosome(condensed version of chromotin) that replicates to form the iconic double arm or the chromotin replicates itself and then condenses to form the iconic double arm structure Chromosome.

    Can a single sister chromatids undergo synapses in the half top and bottom at the same time?

    • @phlo-m7237
      @phlo-m7237 4 года назад

      Amel Weasley i don’t think so? Because synapsis happens with alleles lining up nearby each other. ( blue eye, brown eye) unless the chromatid in only in the s1 phase and an error happens skipping s phase and s2
