I would like to add that NDJ in meiosis 2 can also give two cells with trisomy if the resulting cells ( i.e. the resulting 2 cells at the end of meiosis 1) both experience non-disjunction. Hence, non-disjunction in meiosis 2 can give 1 or 2 cells with trisomy.
These songs are great! Id suggest highlighting in red the associated letter or word on the left list then sing the song while looking at the list. Should help with retention. Thanks again!
IMO all medical students learning about trisomy 18 and 13 should also educate themselves on how a poor prognosis can be a self-fulfilling prophecy, and how outcomes for both conditions are much better if they're given aggressive care rather than palliative care. Both are severe life-threatening birth defects, but if they can survive infancy and get surgical treatment of their most serious defects, their chance of survival goes up significantly. Both trisomies, in non-mosaic form, have been reported in multiple individuals who have lived to adulthood.
These lectures are for general medical students, the vast majority of which will never see a patient with one of these syndromes. It's more to just be aware they exist to know when to refer the patient to a specialist. The geneticists, pediatric specialists and surgeons who treat them directly have a more subtle perspective.
he never uploaded for microbiology i have been requesting since months buzzwords or smthing i know skecty is best but i need one liner buzzwords he does the best videos
In the USA the legal drinking age might be 21, but in the UK it's 18. Which is one of the other options, so it could be confusing to use that mnemonic...

it can occur on more than those chromosomes; these are the just the ones that show up on exams the most
I would add an extra 'A' to your mnemonic for Alzheimer's disease
He added early Alzheimer's
