Kirk, your channel is the BEST! From your crystal clear videos to your no nonsense approach. You get straight to the point, no blathering. Not only that, you still find the time, as a busy store owner, to reply to your viewers questions. You're just AMAZING!!
Husband and I were looking at one today, on sale @ $699 down from $999. Cant say I'm impressed. Dont like the noise and the clothes dont agitate fully, they just kind of swish back and forth. The deep water wash is pathetic. Glad I found your video! We've made our decision now thanks to you 😊
I have this washer. I like it. I never had any machine get my clothes so clean. It does use very little water. Their reasoning behind that is the washer mimics that of a washboard. You must use the cycles as they're intended, or it could be rough on clothes. The powerwash cycle is for sturdy heavy duty clothing only. The bearing noise is very alarming. But, I don't give a shit, that's what an extended warranty is for.
On the Cabrio, this cycle would be Mixed/Normal. As much as I miss my Cabrio, I'm loving my 9 series Speed Queen! If I ever get one of these machines again, it's going to be a Kenmore version. With these machines I always recommend the Bulky/Sheets cycle for jeans.
Seems like the 2015 edition on this washer. The agitation sound is much louder than newer editions. This machine has been slightly tweaked under the hood since 2017. In 2017, this washer and other whirlpool/maytag models got a new, quieter gear assembly. Supposedly higher quality, but they still seem to be plastic gears, but that gear grinding sound was significantly reduced during agitation. They sound a lot more pleasant now. However, the bearings are certainly bad as well on this machine. hence the unbelievably noisy spin cycle.
judging by the agitation profiles of the whirlpool 7300 you once filmed(it had the revised gearing),it doesn't seem that different, but maybe you should do a side by side run, if you have the equipment to do that.
My 12 year old GE Profile top load had been over-filling with water for the past month, and the water would spill over the tub and onto the floor. I had one repair place out and they said it needed a new water pressure sensor ($170) and main board ($210). But after I opened it up myself, I saw that the clear plastic pressure hose on the left side was clogged up. I ordered a new one for $10 and connected it from the bottom of the Tub to the Pressure Sensor next to the Main Board and that fixed the problem for $10. Not $400!
The Deep Water Wash cycle on these machines adjusts the water level dependent on the load size/weight. Despite what people think, that’s adequate water to wash those jeans.
@@oreotcat I have a high efficiency shower. I get cleaned every morning with the right amount of water. It may take 45 mins for my body to get completely wet but it's worth the wait. I'll never go back to being able to finish my shower in 5 mins.
So far it appears that the LG models have the best washing motions. Whirlpool HE seems decent. Maytag HE...you can see here. I have not researched GE HE yet.
Kirk thanks for posting - The amount of water used for a deep water wash is pathetic! I recommend to the customers when selecting a top load to get one with a deep water option so it can be used on most cycles! I recommend LG as it uses a good amount of water with deep water option! The only thing I like about this machine is it looks nice and has a nice cycle tone - go LG or Old speed queen!
@@Sharkie626 that's like the selling point of a shower is ability to use water. Can't believe people are falling for these sales pitches. I actually watched a sales person at a Best buy tell this couple this washer has water deep water plus. I jumped in the conversations and said isn't washers supposed to use water. How is that a feature now?
I read through the comments and just want to say that the amount of water it put in is enough for that load they are getting washed quite well but on larger loads if still doesn’t put enough water in which is terrible
Look at that vibration... Not cool for this nice of a washer Glad my set is going back I'm dealing with this same problem with a brand new GE front load set 😔
We have the same or similar model as that one and the other day I was washing a full sized fleece blanket in the deep water wash and the water was almost to the top of the drum and the blanket was just floating at the top and the wash plate couldn't touch it.
Is that supposed be deep water wash???? That's insane. The third Maytag machine I had was the same way. The machine only put in as much water as the machine wanted to put in the tub even though you select deep water wash. It was an agitator machine. This machine has to tear the heck out of the clothes. If they got 2018 SQ washer, won't have to worry about that, for sure.

Your just saying that because your to broke to get an LG. (THE TRUTH TELLS ALL) sorry nf

No more speed queen nobody wants them any more
Whel this Maytag sounds like ur washer

Very interesting, I wonder if the actual program was changed too. I may order a new one and compare. Thanks man, as always....

That is my favourite washer
So far the best I've seen is the Maytag Commercial and the GE 755 that you did a few weeks ago.

FAUguy23 Do you feel these machines are easy to work on and do they have a spider same as front loaders? Does that fail?
The Deep Water Wash cycle on these machines adjusts the water level dependent on the load size/weight. Despite what people think, that’s adequate water to wash those jeans.
Just like a slow drip of water is adequate for taking a shower. It uses the proper amount of water based on your height and weight.
Blackdragon79 love your comment right on target.
Blackdragon79 Exactly. Americans use too much water and they still stink. 😂

Blackdragon79 Damn I need one of those ;-)
1:28:36 it's so blazey
Kirk, that's an expensive washer. Probably worth a few bucks for wash plate. My Speed Queen would wash that load in 40 minutes.
So far it appears that the LG models have the best washing motions. Whirlpool HE seems decent. Maytag HE...you can see here. I have not researched GE HE yet.
Whirlpool and Maytag are the same company just with different displays

Peter S I watched the LG washes and I agree?
I wet the clothes before I turn on machine puts out more water
Who remember when water wasn't a feature in washer? It was an industry standard. Deep water wash as a feature is a joke.
Yeah it’s total nonsense.

Can you divulge your secret for getting the unit to run without locking the lid?
Yes I would like to know also ... right now I hate my machine!
Bypass yeh lid

Would a loose wash plate be a cause for this washer to squeak during the sensing cycle?
My washer is like this except it doesn’t act weird and it has an agitator
If you deselect the extra rinse on the far right it will just do a spin only.
42:05 unbalanced load didn’t detect unbalanced load
That’s how unbalanced my hotpoint HTWP1400F2WW I
is

Glad my set is going back
I'm dealing with this same problem with a brand new GE front load set 😔
Thats why i hate their stupidity of haier
That’s deep water wash? There crazy! Pitiful.
Lol. You don't see that amazing turnover? I'm sure it almost turnover once during the whole cycle.
@@Blackdragon79 Like amazing turn over. (Watch video in 2x speed) 😂😂😂😂😂

Kirk, did you haul off the matching dryer as well????
Just the washer. The resale guys would not touch this washer with a 10 foot pole.
Sounds like junk heap is where it is headed.
I'm not really sure what else is wrong with this washer. It's still a current model number. I may keep it in the back so people can see and touch it.
Right...current model. I wouldn't trash it either. I really feel that The Man Upstairs dropped my Speed Queen washer in my lap.
Honestly, your find was more difficult than you could imagine. To find that model so late in the game was very special.
On this washer which gives you more water deep water or bedding?
Definitely bedding. I have this exact machine. He has another video showing the bedding cycly
Hey kirk, Do you have a Samsung front load washer❗❗❗⭕
How can you make the washer start the cycle without closing the lid? I tried but I couldn’t.
He bypassed the lid lock
Hi Kirk
I have this washers in my house
how do i take of the spin plate?
Remove the bolt on the top
My model for my washer Is Mvwb765fw2

As in a real washer.

My 2015 speed queen rips the crap out of my towels and sheets and puts holes in clothes.
