Wow, that song video you watched pretty much tells the whole story of the film URBAN COWBOY, including the ending! I’m surprised they would reveal so much of the film in a promotional music video. Anyway, it was a big hit movie the summer it came out and inspired a country music dance fad as well as folks wanting to ride mechanical bulls. Travolta was still fresh for kicking up disco a few notches with his previous film and now he did the same for country music. I recommend the film URBAN COWBOY as it’s a very realistic look at people who aren’t very bright and we don’t see enough stories about them in popular culture, even though we are surrounded by them everywhere! 😂
We used to do this song regularly in our band back in the day, I would sing it. Take away the steele guitar and the southern accent, and you have a good pop song. That's why t worked for everyone.

Sarah might not know that was John Travolta of Saturday Night Fever fame and Urban Cowboy is a movie she would probably like. Debra Wenger was the lovely co-star. Those were the days!

The bar in the movie was a place called Gilley's (In Pasadena Texas, a suburb of Houston). It was called the world's largest night club. It was massive. I took my wife there a few times when we were first dating. Very cool.
