Emmanuel "Manny" Pacquiao has competed in professional boxing since 1995. Regarded by many boxing historians as one of the greatest professional boxers of all time, Pacquiao is the only boxer in history to win 12 major world titles in eight different weight divisions. He is also the first and only boxer in history to win the lineal championship in five different weight divisions, as well as being the first and only boxer in history to win major world titles in four of the original eight weight divisions of boxing, also known as the "glamour divisions": flyweight, featherweight, lightweight and welterweight.
As of September 2020, Pacquiao is the oldest welterweight world champion in history at the age of 41, and the first boxer to become a recognized four-time welterweight champion after defeating then undefeated unified WBA Super/WBC champion Keith Thurman to win the WBA (Super) welterweight champion.
Pacquiao also holds the record of being the first and only four-decade world champion in history, having held world championships in the 1990s; WBC/Lineal World Flyweight, 2000; IBF Superbantamweight World Champion, Ring/Lineal Featherweight World Champion, WBC/Ring/Lineal Superfeatherweight World Champion, WBC Lightweight, World Champion, IBO/Ring/Lineal Light-Welterweight World Champion and WBO Welterweight World Champion ), 2010s; WBC Superwelterweight World Champion and WBO/Lineal Welterweight World Champion (2x) and 2020s; WBA (Super) Welterweight World Champion.
He was named Fighter of the Decade for the 2000s by the Boxing Writers Association of America (BWAA), WBC and WBO. He is also a three-time Ring magazine and BWAA Fighter of the Year, winning both awards in 2006, 2008 and 2009; and the Best Fighter ESPY Award in 2009 and 2011. In 2016, Pacquiao was ranked second on ESPN's list of top boxers, pound-for-pound, of the past 25 years. BoxRec ranks Pacquiao as the fifth greatest boxer, pound for pound, of all time, as well as the greatest Asian boxer of all time. World-renowned boxing expert and historian Bert Sugar ranked Pacquiao as the greatest southpaw fighter of all time. In 2020, Pacquiao topped the Ranker's list of best boxers of the 21st century
    NOTES
First and only boxer to win a World titles in 8 Weight Divisions.
First and only Asian boxer to win a world title in at least 5 weight divisions.
First and only Filipino boxer to win a World title in at least 5 weight divisions.
First and only boxer to win a lineal World title in at least 5 weight divisions.
First and only boxer to held a World title in at least four decades (1990s, 2000s, 2010s, 2020s).
Only boxer to held a world title in at least four age decades (denarian, vicenarian, tricenarian, quadragenarian).
Oldest welterweight world champion in history.
Fifth-oldest boxer to win a world title in history (40 years, 215 days old).
    *Opinion
(If only Pacquiao is American/ African-American, British or White, no doubt those people will debates and considered him The Greatest, but he is a fucking ASIAN where Floyd and other niggar so angry for.

This is why Clottey was there to survive the whole night; Nearly gets dropped by the first flush counter jab 18:05 Ntm, he got dropped by a jab against Cotto. Don't get confused by big muscles, doesn't mean their chin is just as solid.

I disagree with the commentators about how manny won the early rounds. I still think he won them. But I think he won by landing hard to the body and landed twice as many punches as Clottey. The commentators make it sound like you should be able to win by throwing more punches, regardless of whether they land. Its landed punches. Pac landed far more body punches early on. In the late rounds he started to get more head shots and completely dominated.

Start with the alibis Mayweather announced and explained the veracity of those statements and back it up with citations and proof!!! can you do that? I live in General Santos City where Manny Pacquiao lives and I have watch him fight since he was 12 years old... don't you know he was already knocking opponents at that age? And when you accused him of taking PEDs do you you think I would believe it knowing that he has that power ever since he was a child!!! now start explaining Mayweather's alibis of not fighting Manny Pacquiao... Let me list some
      1. PED using
      2. Money splitting (more with Mayweather's)
      3. Arum is the reason
      4. Join the Mayweather promotion to get a shot
      5. Manny only wants to fight because of tax woes
      6. Offered 40 M to Manny
      7. Mayweather is more concern of his health

Francisco Tayoto Pacquaio's knockouts aren't impressive. There are other fighters with a better percentage. You act as if he's a knockout king and he's far from it. He hasn't had a knockout in over 5 years. The biggest concern with the guy when it comes to PED use is his stamina. Being able to keep up 12 rounds throwing all those punches while maintaining full power. Mayweather has built his career on capitalizing on fighters mistakes in the mid to later rounds. So obviously he would be concerned if Pacquaio's cheating when normally a boxer loses stamina and not maintaining it an entire fight.
His power is not as impressive as you're leading on. Many sparring partners and boxers who fought both say that there are no noticeable difference in their punches. He beats their face up like he did with Margarito and Cotto. That doesn't necessarily mean a lot of power. Example: If you let a 10 year old hit you 500x, and let a full grown powerful man hit you one time,....the 10 year old would inflict more facial damage. Not because of the power, but because of the number of hits.

Manny the lil monster. Most exciting and loveable fighter of our generation. And a wrecking machine on top of it. I do wish he had won against Mayweather, but after what he did to Hatton, Floyd ducked fighting him just long enough to get him to slow down that little bit so he could squeeze his win out against him. Manny is the man.

I also felt bad for Manny Steward in the 3rd round, when those idiots couldn't figure out that he was just saying that Clottey's punches were better, cleaner punches, which is what I saw, and they wanted to argue with him for some reason...you know things are bad when there's more things of interest behind the mics than in the ring

Boxing fans watch Joshua Clottey's performance against Manny Pacquiao and criticize him for being too defensive as if he does nothing more. Joshua Clottey virtually beat the living shit out of most of his competitors by picking his punches meticulously and landing with precision, while simultaneously taking very little damage for it; That is the Joshua Clottey that I notice when I watch his bouts and he made even the likes of Zab Judah quit. He was a master at his craft, yet he received very little credit for it. Indeed he is an under-appreciated fighter-- no body had really ever hurt Joshua Clotttey, and that includes Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao! He was most certainly an exciting fighter and I take my hat off to Joshua Clottey for being such a tremendous athlete in the sport of boxing. During fights, he battles against not just the man standing in front of him but the judges as well, and the commentators and some boxing fans of course.

FIXED??? Did you guys even watch whole fight or did you just scroll across??? Watch it at 31:28 and the end of round 4. "Use your jab, use your hook..." Clottey "if I hook him... (Gonna get combo'd with the hand motion)" AND watch the post fight interview. Clottey talked about Pac's speed. He didn't want to open up and get smothered by Pac when he opens up his guard. That's why he mostly threw straight right and lefts. He was fighting the best way he knew how, that gave him the best chance to win, without getting knocked out or getting caught. Get some boxing knowledge and educate yourself in the sport before ranting about, casual fans don't get to rant.

      NextSelection
If you are a good boxer and have sparred against a decent boxer, you would see that Clottey fought quite normal and actually tried but couldn't. Pacquiao is more than 10x better than a good competing amateur boxer, and this is without headgear. Release your hand against a decent opponent in sparring, they catch u back with a punch. Shell up, they hit your body. If you have been hit by a decent body shot, 1 of them aimed good is enough to take a lot of air out of you. If you are untrained, you literally bend down and back into the corner. It is normal that Clottey would get hit on the body when he goes into the shell. 50% of Pac's shots were body shots. Unlike the head blows, the body blows weren't "unclean" punches. As for Clottey not throwing much, I already explained that you get countered even by a decent sparring partner. All the opponents Pac has fought would destroy any sparring partner you can find in your gym. If you don't have confidence to release you hand against your sparring partner, you have 10x less confidence to release your hand against Pacquiao. Lastly, remember that Clottey's style IS to defend to begin with. So he is twice as likely to go to defensive mode, as opposed to Pac's other opponents. And that's the only reason he didn't get knocked out. Clottey's statement right after the fight seems more true. Him very slyly implying that the fight was rigged was after he had heard all the statements about how bad he was. To me, the public's thoughtless comments are at fault. He was obviously a good fighter who could not handle exchanges at high speed and volume, but the public made it sound like he was garbage after the fight and only gave him 2 options: admit he was garbage or imply the fight was rigged.
