Tell me about it…I literally watch some of her videos 10x and even on slo-mo sometimes 🤣. I owe everything I’ve learned so far to this wonderful little lady who packs a very big punch. 🧡🤎🩵
Sara, What a great recipe. I use whatever is available and affordable for me and tweak it to the desired consistency. But it's great to have just one can of paint for bloom pillow, PM and pearls. WOW. That's a winner. And of course as always, your bloom is beautiful. Thank you for always being so open and sharing. You are very kind.
Thank you, Lady S. Your advice led to finally making my blooms look like something other than roadkill. Lol You are a truly authentic inspiration and I wish you and your beautiful family blessings and peace.
Hi Sara, love your work, thanks for putting in large print your colours used, I am hard of hearing thus helps so much, send love and a hug Eunice Kimber SA
Sara, this is gorgeous! I just love your color palette choices. Thanks so much for all the hard work of trial and errors behind the scenes. And for you to share your successes!! You truly are a blessing to all. Whether sharing your success in your paints or your magnificent canvases!🥰🥰
Woot woot 🙌🏻🙌🏻 Yeyyyy…I’m pretty positive I just bought this precious one on your website!!! I’m so excited😍😍😍😍 thank you Sara! Can’t wait to have this beauty hung on my wall 🤗
Love this palette and composition. You make magic with using negative space like no one else does! What a beautiful and elevated bloom swipe result! ❤️
Thank you very much. I didn't know what pillow paint was so I started watching videos and learning about it but I didn't know how to make it lol so this is GREAT!!!! Thank you so much for sharing ☺️ your art is just beautiful ❤️ oh and I live in Northern Washington, Okanogan county actually 🙂
Yes it is PERFECTION. The richness of the colours and the pillow have made such voluptuous end result Sara. Thank you for sharing and being here. Much love to you Sara and your beautiful family. 💖🤗😊😂👌👍💖
Another beautiful piece. You continue to gain the notoriety and respect in the art community I told you, you would from the very beginning. Did I have the eye or what? 😅🤗
This is realy intresting to watch. when you started Iit looked like darkdark but spinning it brought the colors out realy beautiful. You are truly an magician only you don`t use a wand but a palletknife ;-)
Sara, thank you for sharing your experience with the pillow paint, specifically live in different climates. I live in VT and I have been having the same issue with my pillow paint.
My, my…this is so beautiful!! 🥰 I started blooming technique and we were told to use Glidden Premium in Canada. It was cracking (NEVER had cracking in my paintings since 2 years!!) and had much too many bubbles, doing white spots everywhere. 😤 I went back to my old Sico Evolution that does a perfect pillow and dries uniformly. Glad I’m not the only one !! Thanks Sara, beautiful painting as always! I wish I could be part of your symposium in Texas !!!🤔
Thanks Sara! I noticed if I add any water to my house paint at all, it cracks. And yes, it's very thick. Definitely going to try using your recipe, thank you!
Sarah, you are my go to for inspiration and recipes....thank you....lovely work, sound recipe advice, and an uncontrived beautiful style! Just love your work! Cheers from Oz
You are my princess of fluid art and bloom technic. I wish my paints will look only 1/2 so good as yours, but I have no Australian floetrol, no spinner, only 1 Euro paints and only 300 € for 1 month for all. But I like you videos, at the beginning you was a little bit shy, but now you are a powerfull women, she knows what she have and what she is going to do in the next time. Your videos are so good, because I learn every time from the best. For swiping I like coz creation, Cathleen is a helpful powerwomen. I think it's better for me, if i try to paint abstrakt art, without the expensive thinks I never get a bloom swipe, I try it with amsterdam white, but it's not enough. I wish you and your family a happy and healthy new year 2023.
It’s actually OK if it’s a self producing white acrylic here for the pillow, I just use my black because I don’t use it for other techniques. You could use artist loft flow or really any affordable white acrylic.
It’s all about consistency! It’s really a beautiful and fun technique when she get it figured out.😁🙏 I do have private classes you can book on my website, we could do an hour session and I could help you with this.
Can you please tell how much parts paint? Paint PM: 2 part Behr 7300 deep base enamel 1 part varathane triple thick polyurethane 1 part Josagnio gloss varnish water to get “warm honey” consistency
Great question! It actually depends on the paint. Some paints have more pigment than others. If it’s a typical Amsterdam type to paint about one part, if it’s a high pigmented fluid paint, you can use less.
Susan, yes, you can torture bubbles. Ideally with this technique you’re not going to have air bubbles, you want to paint to sit for at least 24 hours to get the air out of it.
Well! That’s as near perfect as we humans can get…!Txz for your perseverance and generosity! Could you suggest a substitute for Josagnio varnish ?Jeanne
I don’t always use Josagno, it’s a good additive, but it’s not 100% necessary. I’ve mixed my paints with just the polyurethane and 7300 house paint and it’s been fine. You will need to use a bit of water to get it to the correct consistency. The Josagnio is good for thinning it out.👍❣️
Sara; Love your work, I'm reading your mixing instructions and need some clarification on your header Paint:PM what do you use this for ? your colors? thanks for sharing
Sara, your work is amazing! I have been working on bloom swipes-finally got one I liked and it developed one crack when it dried. I don’t think I got enough paint spun off. 😢 You talked about cracking ‘ pillow paint consistency so I will keep trying. I live in Arizona, so hot and dry. However, do you know of a way to fix a crack? I would love to be able to salvage this piece if at all possible. Thank you for sharing all your art wisdom!!
Thank you so much, that’s the one thing that’s difficult with blooms swipes and blooms is the cracking. The recipe I have in this particular video I’ve had the most luck with! My best suggestion to fix a crack would be to try to correct the color of the crack the best you can, maybe with the color of cell activator that you used. After that you can resin the painting so you can’t see the indentation of the crack. I hope this is helpful, thanks for your support!
Hello Ms.Sara. You mentioned you would share about the translucent pour over canvass prior to adding your colors but I failed to catch that recipe some how. It’s so pretty with the gold underneath it & I would like to know how to do that. I checked in the description box below but still don’t understand 😕. Loved the painting !
Love all your paintings and appreciate your tutorials so much!! I’m wondering where you got the pallet knife? I’ve looked and cannot find anything like it.
You can get them at Fluid Art Co, they have a wonderful website! fluid-art.co/collections/tools/products/standard-fluid-art-palette-knives?variant=43649231126758 These knives are all RGM, great brand.
It is beautiful Sara. Will try this for pillow base. I imagine this recipe would also work well for colored bases because the 7300 is untinted. Do you know Which other whites will work to mix in with it as non cell makers aside from blicks?
Dear Sara, I love your design and art most so far. After bought all these art supplies online, finally, I started to follow your video to do this pouring art. However, none of my cell is as big as yours. I used silicon drops to my colors and used blow dryer too. They are all very small tiny cells. Can you help me with reasons for this problem. Thank you for your help.
Can you please share the 'ingredients' for the Mauve Mix and Nickel Azo Mix paints? Just love your pour designs and can't wait to try and master one or more myself! Thank you
Hi Sara! First of all, congratulations for your gorgeous art! Any technique is just perfect. I have a question. In this pillow paint, can I replace Gac 800 by Golden color pouring medium? Here in Spain it is so expensive to have it... Thanks a lot if you answer! me
I tried Gliden because it was cheaper. What a waste! I’m using Behr 8300 because I can stretch it a lot and doesn’t alter the pigments Love your work and your videos PS I live in the hot climate of Florida
It’s a good question, the reason I don’t put this measurement is because it really depends on the paint. If you’re using a typical to paint, about 1 to 1, if you’re using a high-end golden fluid paint, it’s more like 1 to 6. Basically, you want to add enough paint with pigment where it keeps its saturation of color and does not get dull looking.
Hey Joey, you can really use any affordable white acrylic paint to mix this. The important factor here is using the untinted enamel house paint. It works beautifully!
Hi Sara, how are you??? Cute kids you have! Beautifull. I am still strugeling to Find the right products here in the netherlands… are the behr products and the varatane you use water based??
I love the negative space, color combination and design. You are the master of this art. Thank you for sharing

Hello Sara…simply lovely as usual. May I ask what color brand is your “mauve”?
I usually use the Amsterdam expert mauve. Often times I’ll mix a tiny bit of raw sienna and titanium white.
Are you referring to the Translucent Pearl basecoat? I do have a video on that under my translucent Pearl playlist.
@@SaraTaylor yes ma’am

Hi sara, i realy looooove this peace! But What do you mean with the paint pm??
PM is short for pouring medium.🤙
@@SaraTaylor I know, but I was surprises about the ingredients.

@@SaraTaylor Thank you, that's great to hear!!
@@SaraTaylorOh! So if I wanted to tint the pillow I CAN use acrylic to mix in with the satin enamel?
beautiful! How do you varnish your art or its not needed to be varnish?
I usually do a Liquatex Varnish on these:)
@@SaraTaylorThank you! I found one of your tutorial about polycrylic semi gloss. Do you still use polycrylic or Liquatex better?
What ratio is your PM TO PAINT. I'm using the 7050 which makes them all pastel.
Yeah the 7050 has white pigment in it, so you want to go with the 8300 or 7300 those deep bass. My p.m. to paint is about 1 to 3.
Hi Sara, how are you??? Cute kids you have! Beautifull. I am still strugeling to Find the right products here in the netherlands… are the behr products and the varatane you use water based??
