- How to keep heels soft and supple.
Cracked Heel:
• Cracked heel is the result of neglect and lack of moisturizing of the heels
• The heels develop deep cuts which may become painful
Symptoms to look for:
• Red or flaky patches on the heels are the first signs
• Cracks on skin which may bleed
Causes:
• Feet expand sideways due to excessive pressure. Cracks may develop due to:
o Dry skin
o Zinc and omega-3 fatty acid deficiency
Remedy:
Take a tub of warm water
Add 1 cup of sea salt to the water
Soak your feet for 10-15 mins
Take the pumice stone and rub your heels with it
Move on to your toes and make sure you rub both your feet properly
Take the brush, and brush your nail with it
Repeat this on both the feet
Dip them in the water again and wipe them with a clean cloth
Take some sesame oil in your palm and rub it on your feet
Massage it in properly
Take some melted candle wax, and using a brush apply one coat on your heels and toes
Be careful when you use candle wax. Make sure it is not too hot on your skin
Now, cover your feet with plain, clean cotton socks and get to bed!
Tips:
• Avoid wearing sandals with open backs as these facilitate sideways expansion of feet causing cracks
• Do not stand barefoot in damp areas for long time as this can make the skin dry

Can we use any other oil instead of sesame oil
Almond oil, or coconut oil are good ones.
Can it be any candle ?
shygurl159 same question from my side too
Any candle is okay. If you use any fragrant candles, make sure you are not allergic to any ingredients used in it.
