I couldn't agree more. The fact that they made it in such a dry way with no crazy sound in the background or with no build up at all makes it horrendously great. You are just left there feeling kind of bad for Howard, having to deal with his stained image and with his depression, and you have no idea that the suffering of that man is just about to end, perhaps good for him but definitely terrifying for the spectator. Such a great scene though, directed with the perfection of the whole series and of Breaking Bad.

I like to imagine that, while in prison, Jimmy writes a tell-all book about working with Walter white. Finally clearing up any left over mysteries and missing persons the public should know.
One thing I see a lot of people say that I cant help but disagree with is that he absolves kim of her involvement in Howards death. My interpretation was that he hears she confesses and then realizes what he has to do, so he tells the government she was more involved in the death than reality so it compels her to come to the court room, then he says what he told them was just bullshit to get her there but everything she confessed to still exists. She is still open to a civil suit and she still gave her confession of being involved and she without a doubt had a hand in it. Jimmy just acknowledged that she left and tried to better herself and that he couldnt.
I took it as him unburdening himself/setting himself free and simultaneously taking away part of Kim's emotional burden and showing her that Jimmy was still in there, since there was absolutely no sign of him the last time she saw him. We've seen her face the consequences of his actions before while he got away unscathed, like when she was punished for losing the Kettlemens or when she ended up in dock review because of what he did with the commercial at Davis & Main.

As great as this series is and as good as the creators are I find one unfathomable plot hole that really sticks in my craw. All the precautions taken to keep the super lab a secret then Gus introduces himself as "Gus Fring" when meeting the German engineers. I cannot believe no one in the writers room stopped this travesty. It needs to be edited out in reruns, any airings or digital releases.
I get where you’re coming from and that is an entirely reasonable and logical point to raise, however, the German engineers were being supervised 24/7 by Gus’s own people and had no ability to communicate with the outside world, so I sincerely doubt Gus would have any reason to believe that revealing his name would be of issue because there’s just no chance of that information being leaked.
Im not sure alot of people know but two episodes were directed seperately by cast members of BCS who played Kim and Gus. In season 6 episode 4 Hit and Run by Seehorn and episode 6 Axe and Grind by Esposito.

@@myllamaMan Rewatch it, and watch her hands extremely closely at the end. She gives him one very subtly, probably to not have the guards harass her for doing it. I only noticed the second time I watched it
@@Fallen2811 Peter Gould specifically said that they thought about having Kim give the finger guns back, but decided against it because they didn’t want the audience to think that she was going back to scamming.
Also, Jimmy didn’t get Kim exonerated. At the hearing, he recanted his lies about her involvement. But he couldn’t do anything about her confession, or make it less likely that Cheryl Hamlin would sue her.

To me they are one big anthology series! A prequel and a sequel that is more about lifestyle, choice, and the human psyche, than it is about individuals!
WOW! It's been a privilege knowing the life of Jimmy, it's been an absolute honour. The near death encounters, the association with the many of his clients he defended as a lawyer, most notably Walter White and co. What really resonated with me about Jimmy, is how despite constantly being stood on by the 'naysayers,' and certain characters feeling the need to respond to him with uncivilised manners, Jimmy always stood his ground and always responded with his humorous charasmatics personality. He always tried to remain positive and see the plus, no matter the situation. Whenever they knocked him down Jimmy always got back up and went again. After the end of this series and Jimmy moving on, changing his identity and leading a new life, makes me feel very emotional. It's been such a roller coaster experience and simply amazing to be part of my life experience.
I think jimmy was the perfect lawyer. He played semantic games, whispered in peoples ears, told half truths, and got his clients out of trouble legally. Though with his past people around him like chuck believed jimmy could never change and he would always eventually cheat and hurt people. This then made jimmy prove them right by giving up trying to be the good guy and went full con man lawyer.

@@uncannyroaches5933 ik but at that point there weren't many videos that covered the full show, don't dig up comments from a year ago
@@CountCrimsonStrider my bad buddy every comment I see it 1 year old.
never mind. i was just stating the obvious for any third person to realise and not waste his time watching 2 duplicate videos which are the exact same.
no offence to you buddy. peace out✌️
@@uncannyroaches5933 oh ok, sorry for the misunderstanding mate
The ABSOLUTE BEST RECAP of all the BCS and I have watched MANY of them .since last night this one is Simply the best!!
Thank You!!
AMAZING work! Look forward to saving time by watching more of your recaps. Thanks
Mike was my favorite character from both shows specially better call Saul so sad he died
When Kim went back to Albuquerque in Season 6 and the ticket machine was automated without Mike, that was sad. Rip Finger
Saul was GOAT criminal defense lawyer. If you are in trouble YOU BETTER CALL SAUL
I'm a simple man, my favorite moments in BCS, were, Mike doing cross word puzzles, Gus sweeping up, at "Los Pollos Hermanos, " and Chuck doing research, and writing.
mine were similar stuff like this. going to visit apartments and offices to buy, having a drink with buddies, driving on the highway for most of the time..
.
Thank you man. I didn't want to waste hours of my life watching the first4 seasons a gain
ending was sad.. everybody keeps saying it was bittersweet or it was "the good" ending, but fact of the matter is saul will be in prison for the rest of his life, that in itself makes the ending very sorrowful. A sorrowful goodbye from our comedic relief.
So is it just me ? It's not the end. and I expect a finally movie to come.
Why do I say this, because Saul & Mr White are in a basement somewhere with bags packed ready to flee dressed in prison greens. So they escaped....
@@mrspikiespike4807 youve seen breaking bad right?
@@kunknown2340 Not since it first came out 9 years ago.
@@mrspikiespike4807 For the sake of a last ditch epilogue hypothetical: What if Jesse teams up with Kim to publish a recording of his witness of the killing of hank & steve to the court, thus proving that was not on Jimmy even indirectly (that is, if many years of his sentence is solely because of the murder of Steven & Hank) Maybe Jimmy then could get a reasonable time reduced to his sentence, combined with good behaviour, and then live out approx. a decade left of his life with Kim.
@@per-torereiniurfjell5424 So I might of got my wires crossed a bit there...i'll have to go back and re watch BB now lol.
I'll still put money on the fridge that there will be a future movie just like they did with Jesse.
I've seen speculation that Gus did that purposefully so he had a good reason to give to Mike if Werner ever needed to be eliminated.
@@XpwnxageGreat point as well.
Im not sure alot of people know but two episodes were directed seperately by cast members of BCS who played Kim and Gus. In season 6 episode 4 Hit and Run by Seehorn and episode 6 Axe and Grind by Esposito.
Esposito looks and talks like my school principal. he is scary. imagining him as a director will be crazy
Hell of a ride from Breaking Bad to Better Call Saul
Watched the lost recap now Saul good job sir earned a sub. I look forward to more
18:21 Mike wasn’t there to protect Saul as a friend. He was gonna shoot Lalo if Saul cracked and decided to tell the truth. Accurate summary otherwise!!
eh i mean the only way he would crack is lalo threatening to kill him
@@elijahhodges5770 again, mike wasn’t doing it to be his friend, he was doing it to protect the secrecy of the lab construction
@@Shrreder why can’t it be both?
@@pkboolean maybe at this time in the show but i don’t think mike considers saul a friend moreso someone who needs help and is willing to pay for it as needed
I have never seen Breaking Bad, but there's this potent... something about this Better Call Saul series that has me very intrigued. It appears to be all quality, and made with love and skill.
I may just have to check out the adventures of Slippin Jimmy.
Daaaaaaamn. Better Call Saul would have had SUCH a bigger impact on you for some parts if you'd seen BB first. In the first episode, when Tuco showed up, I almost lost my shit.
Meanwhile, Jimmy's cell phone --- "300 missed calls" from Jeffie
bitter sweet, thanx for the recap
That’s Saul folks
I love you. This was freaking great!!
you saved me a lot of time!!
thank you so much vince gilligan and the amazing team behind of
better call saul February 8, 2015 -; August 15, 2022
breaking bad January 20, 2008 -; September 29, 2013
el camino breaking bad movie 2019
thank you so much
Got to give to the creators to make two amazing shows while also world building. Plus, they made a well-made movie, El Camino, that wrapped up all three characters.
The power of story telling 💕
Vince did a spectacular job at making me feel that way towards Howard. It still bothers me that Lalo did what he did, and even worse that they were buried together.
It's cool Jimmy got Kim exonerated, but I kinda wish he would've taken the 7 years and let her take her share in it. I'm still pretty torn that she left him to begin with.
Simpin' Jimmy at it again
And the fact she didn’t even give him the finger guns back at the end was terrible imo
It’s kinda hard to follow, but Peter said that when Jimmy found out that Kim had confessed, he lied to prosecutors and said she was more involved in Howard’s death, because he wanted her to show up at his sentencing hearing. At the hearing, he recanted his lies about her involvement. But he couldn’t do anything about her confession, or make it less likely that Cheryl Hamlin would sue her.
What a great recap and great series!
What a bittersweet ending
Incredible recap
7:06 - it was actually Kim who advised Jimmy to cover his trails, just when he was about to fall asleep and only then he rushed to the copyshop.
I like how when you talk about mike protecting Jimmy from lalo, he is protecting his friend also, "Hi my name is Gustavo but you can call me sus"
remember, call saul goodman if you're guilty, call anyone else if you are
and call she-hulk if you want to experience prison anyways
Wow, what a great and well done recap! I'm hoping that there will be another spin-off that features Saul as a felon lawyer giving advice to innocent inmates.
I can't tell you how valuable this video was. thanks alot
Masterpiece keep up the good work
Mike, jimmy, all of these characters were fantastic!
Awesome thank you for doing this. I don’t have time to watch these types of shows anymore but I was always curious of how the storyline would go. Great job.
Great recap!
Slippin jimmy,. Lol those small skits about jimmy coming up were always the best lol
Thanks man I finished watching season 4 years ago and completely forgot about it and now that season 6 is finally out I can catch up
March 2020 til March 2022 was a long wait
damn and how lucky I am to be watching breaking bad and better call Saul this July 2024, 15 years after it originally started. and I have every piece of the puzzle and can watch it at any order I want.
I feel so stupid right now I spent a whole month finishing this and this guy recaps it less than one episode
you are not alone buddy😔👆
To me they are one big anthology series! A prequel and a sequel that is more about lifestyle, choice, and the human psyche, than it is about individuals!
Great effort man!
Mike didn’t tell the DA or whoever the gun was his - he just said it wasn’t Tuco’s
Well done putting this out so effing quick! It doesn’t go unnoticed :)
Great Commentary!👍👍
One of the best shows....EVER
One of the best showes ever
excellent recap
13:00 "Nacho replaces Hector's heart medicine with empty capsules." ABSOLUTELY WRONG. Nacho loads up empty capsules with ibuprofen!
Walt died
Jimmy went to prison
Jesse got away
All possible outcomes to the lives they were leaving were touched on. Incredible show/universe.
Can you do the wire?
I love the relationship between these Hispanic criminals and their elders it’s so sweet it shows how they can genuinely care for another human being
thx for this
86 YEARS!!!
Great show!!
Jimmy stands for unrealized hope and promise
Thank you!
Im sad now because I have no series to look forward.
Great video
I think jimmy was the perfect lawyer. He played semantic games, whispered in peoples ears, told half truths, and got his clients out of trouble legally. Though with his past people around him like chuck believed jimmy could never change and he would always eventually cheat and hurt people. This then made jimmy prove them right by giving up trying to be the good guy and went full con man lawyer.
“A pickpocket named Huell”
Show some respect! That’s THE pickpocket named Huell
better fuel huell
Around 9:17 in the video can you please tell me the name of that song that’s playing? I’ve literally been trying to find it again for 3+ years.
Songs used in this video:
Three Kinds of Suns - Norma Rockwell
Tumbleweed Texas - Chris Haugen
Far the Days Come - Letter Box (this is the one you're looking for)
Sonora - Quincas Moreira
Traversing - Godmode
Breaking Bad ending - Revenge
Better Call Saul ending - Redemption

Do more of these
Not sure if anyone noticed. But Florida Kim never makes a definitive decision when asked by her friends over even the most mundane of questions always, could be, maybe etc. It's because she fears giving a definitive answer that may cause someone pain in someway.
