I NEED TO MENTION THIS - This video is horribly underselling how dumb this build is. This is a super budget setup to "get your foot in the door" on the build and to get you to a point where you are able to farm for further upgrades. I mean it when I say this is the best build in the game and I hope in a day or 2 I can showcase that as my goal currently is to maintain and update the budget version to a point where I know everyone could farm T15's. Once that is done, I will allow myself to use Hand of Wisdom and Action and really showcase... this monstrosity of a build.
I believe that there are a few things you need to talk about when discussing twink levelling. First is lesser jeweller orbs with 4l gems, or even 5l 20% quality gems. These orbs are very cheap. Second is early combo with bell, which is also very strong in maps: bonestorm. High level Bonestorm adds so much base attack damage, it's not even funny.
TBH everyone should just level ANY CHARACTER with lightning arrow / pillar with a widowhail. Just need quivers with damage as you level. It’s just insane and comfortable. Can also switch to radiant hood and gas arrow for one button build mid 20’s. Get through the campaign super easy then respec a little and gear up!
I leveled my warbringer, titan, and sorc with bow and LA and it was the smoothest leveling experience of my entire playtime. I hated spark it looks stupid and I hated playing it and not using other spells instead. I am doing this on every character in the future. I changed them all to cold gas arrow as soon as I had some exalts tho it took a couple days and many hours of clicking every low offer to finally grab the corrupted blueflame for 3-5 exalts. I had wasted 5 exalts and vaals on trying to corrupt them myself I do not ever recommend wasting your precious little currency on corruption gambling if you are just starting out and poor, you might get lucky but you will probably just brick a ton and then be poor AND without the items you need. I bought 2 Blackhearts, foxshade, surefooted, wanderlust (I am still wearing these between level 50-60 the extra dodge distance carrys you through all of cruel) at close to 1ex each. Northpaw, goldrim, and meginords complete this setup for ultimate twink runs however I didnt bother since I was swapping to radiant and blueflame. I didn't need widowhail as after testing my cracked found bows were just as good often better and I didnt feel like buying quivs. I'll even get Polcirkeln for twinking next time for cold skills and perma chill set up you clear entire screens with it The stormweaver cold gas arrow ended being even stronger than the bow titan who I thought would be stronger with hulking online, they are strong. But bow sorc just perma chills, freezes, and double shock debuffs every monster and boss and it actually makes them a potent party support WITH damage. My idea is to test fully investing in as much shock magnitude as possible, next maybe will be the Polcirkeln set up once I can get one to test. I'm just weirded it people still seem to stick within their classes stereotype for builds and don't experiment outside of it, I have never seen a bow or xbow sorc or warrior, I only see xbow warriors on youtube.
Allie, I've watched all sorts of your videos, I really appreciate all the big brain that goes into this video and ones like it. I know a lot of us do. Thanks
@Alliee did you consider to bypass the time of not proccing herald till 45 by wearing the Painters Servant gloves? think on that low lvl it should be fine, no?
newbie question how do you start the passive tree over there , do you have to go all the way to ''chain''' it and then refund passive points? Im just starting this character
Thanks for this build guide. This is what I expect from a good build creator. To provide budget builds that are scalable and hopefully we will have access to examples on what is best to scale for to have targets on what to buy next etc. Thanks once more
Yep, I hate creators that just skip to the endgame 100 div verison of a build and just say tough shit to their audience. Especially when there are a LOT of new players playing poe 2 right now who cant make 100s of divs. Id rather put myself through the trenches and present a playable build that you can use to farm the currency to get the build to the super ultra expensive lategame version of it for everyone to be able to follow and have fun too.
Horns of Bynden is a good helm after Greymake for decent str and rage. I'm leveling a warrior and I'm gonna play totems, but pillar leveling feels really good. Glacial Cascade and ice strike are pretty strong in act 2 right now. Even if you don't plan on doing a stat stacker, I would suggest Pilar leveling on warrior any day.
Thanks for sharing your version of this build, I started mine last night and was having fun with Ice Strike. Do you think Storm Wave is just outright better than Ice Strike when getting to endgame/pinnacle content?
Yeah, at least pre-HoWa. As soon as you get storm wave + upheval, not having to be in melee feels 10x better. Ice Strike's issue is just how bad being next to monsters feels while Three Drag + Storm Wave clear just as good if not a bit faster.
Im not sure, well see what builds peek my interest but I think I do plan to probably try every ascendancy over the next few months to get a feel for everything.
I am totally with you on that there are some fun looking builds this one included that I would like to try but that campaign oof I feel like I need to vomit if we could change acendancies I could just respec but nope ggg ain't about modernising their games its about going backwards apparently. I already miss PoE 1 were you could respec everything without any limits :(
If you have some currency for leveling items it really isn't that bad. I've leveled 4 characters so far and really only the first was slow. The rest were smooth as butter just blasting through campaign with zero challenges.
I like EoW more. Ball Lightning didnt feel as good when I tested it but I do plan to also just try playing unleash and see how that feels with both given that gives us 60 spirit back.
hey quick question i started your build been loving it so far now i have a question would a 2 socket corrupted pillar with 12% weapon dmg be better than lightning in end game?? as i just corrupted one of those
In the lategame, yes. For leveling it would be slightly weaker than one with added damage but yeah, jsut level with the 12% one, you shouldnt notice much of a diff.
Lightning Runes as those would be ideal for lategame. You need to use added damage runes in pillar as its being multiplied by the % inc damage per 5 str and its where most of your damage comes from so we cant use ele pen cores.
You want to pretty much stack everythign evenly with HoWA. Str is still important its just HoWA makes dex and int a lot more important. Past ~300-400 dex or so you want to stop focusing on it as your attack speed will be too high for your mana to keep up and ideally you just keep stacking int and str as far as you can giving int a bit more prio.
Great ive been waiting for this ... im currently playing gas arrow gemling and keep dying in t9 maps im res capped i really want to switch to this build but was trying to farm for a HOWA but i might just switch anyways
I would suggest against building this. Knowing how crazy it is with just the staff and the gloves, it's pretty much OP to the point of being broken. Stats should inherently not be giving damage + defenses with zero downsides and with such ease IMO. It's fun but at the same time makes other builds seem not viable at all in comparison. GGG will nerf it as soon as they are back.
@@PipsterSaysthis build is for people making a 2nd char. It's not ideal for your first char. You are supposed to level it with twink gear. I only have 3 links and I'm plowing through content. It's my 4th char though.
@@Psikick4Thank you! Appreciate the info :) What’s twink gear? Sorry complete noob to PoE, game is awesome, but I feel like I’m missing something all the time.
TO NEW PLAYERS: Don't invest everything you have to play this build, the staff is going to get nerfed, probably for something like: per 10 or even 15 ''insert attribute''.
No it wount. I dont want to go into a 50 page monologue but this build does everything GGG likes in a build. Tempest Bell will be nerfed as it is too strong but we will still run it no matter what and we just go from killing bosses in 5 seconds to... 10. Stop fearmongering especially to new players, especially on my channel when I am doing everything I can to make sure new players which most cc just tend to ignore, play safe and comfortable builds. I wouldnt make a guide on this just like how i wouldnt make a guide on gas arrow if I didnt believe in it. Even if its nerfed to the degree you gave as an example, it literally isint even enough to not make this good.
Gemling wount get adjusted either, this build is agruably stronger on Invoker, gemling offers no dps for the build, just more defences than Invoker does. The only likely nerf to this build is just Bell and if anything here gets nerfed before LA, Archmage & Block ill be dissapointed.
Im waiting for you showing us endgame - but with 10 divine - -4-5 days of 12 hour farming t15 and do the campaign with this horrendous build i dont think alot of people will follow this build
Well... if you came and watched my stream today youd see how the build is doing. All of that b-roll was with act 2-3 gear in maps because i didnt bother upgrading anything. Today we were doing ~t10 maps to level very comfortably. This is not a "horrendous build" and if you wount take my word, just wait until im done with the budget setup and put on HoWA.
OK, "all staff skills just suck", that's just completely opposite, ice strike + the bell + herald of ice before maps is as strong as bow lightning rod or pathfinder concoctions without widowhail, pillar of the caged god stat stacking leveling is one of the better leveling method, and staff is already the next best thing comparing to bow leveling or end game, pillar just give you the option not to upgrade staff thru out campaign (the price is gold for respec), no idea how you got that conclusion, if not as good as gas arrow is the judging standard, everything is terrible, even if you get 10 skele arsonist in act 2 it's still way worse than gas arrow.
I really hated Ice Strike. I know its good, but to me it felt horrible to level with even with a lot of cold damage. I hate the small area it hits and it feels awful in comparison to Storm Wave. All Level 1 skills are pretty damn bad too making Act 1 feel horrible to play through. Its just a difference of opinions I guess but Ice Strike is one of the worst skills ive played in PoE 2 so far but maybe I had a bad experience.
You can run ~200 rarity pretty easily and you can always run Morior if you want to with HoWA. Im currently at ~140% with bad rolls on my 40 ex budget setup.
There are.... so many videos on this build. This is no one persons build, especially in EA when everyone is trying out everything. I've had people tell me about this for weeks now and I decided to go try it out and make my own version of it.

You can also add temporalis in this build and temp will be nerfed so blink doesnt have a 0 sec cd. We knew about temp builds for quite a while now just like how we knew about this build im playing for weeks.
