This is not a video to confirm a sequel to the 2017 Power Rangers movie, but we are going to create some theories of what could happen if they make a sequel. It should be added that this second movie was going to be a reality, but due to poor box office sales at the cinema, they had to cancel it. One of the things they had already shown us is the possibility of Tommy Oliver's appearance, but nobody has thought that we could have seen Lord Zedd as well.
Power Rangers is an American television series and franchise of the tokusatsu genre, version of Super Sentai Series, a Japanese television series of the same genre. It has been broadcast since 1993. From 2002 to 2009, the franchise was owned by The Walt Disney Company, but was reacquired in 2010 by Haim Saban, its creator and original driving force between Mighty Morphin and Wild Force (the latter created early in production before the sale of Saban Entertainment to Disney). On May 1, 2018, it was confirmed that the franchise was bought by Hasbro.

Would have been good but they wouldn’t have wasted money or effort on a character that might never happen. Teasing Tommy was the cheapest.
What’s your actually describing is a belief not a feeling. When you say I feel like, you’re supposed to follow it up with a feeling. For example, I feel excited or annoyed or happy or sad. You believe there should’ve been a scene at the end. You don’t feel like there should’ve been a scene at the end. Or you feel disappointment because you wanted us seem to be at the end.

Sequel should be Green with Evil, Tommy is the villain as the second to Rita. Only for Tommy and the eangers to get attacked by Zedd 3/4 of the way. Tommys helmet is cracked for the reveal, the rangers help him to the comman center. Tommy becomes the white ranger end credits joining the rangers to fight Zedd
no sequel power rangers 2017 was a disaster and a disappointment its great it was canceled.

Goldar was sheepishly portrayed in that movie, but always liked Goldar in Mighty Morphing Power Rangers, as it was my favorite character.
when i was younger, i was scared of Lord Zedd when he first made his appearance, but I loved it.
Don't change Tommy's gender, race, or orientation. Let it be as close the the original as possible.

I'm good with this as long as they don't replace or get rid of Jason,Zack and Trini and let Jason stay as leader of the team and don't make Tommy the leader.
I donno they never confirm that Rita dies they just show her floating off in space. Who knows they could make her like frieza where she can breath in space. Than Lord Zedd picks her up.

Okay, thoughts for a rebooted Lord Zedd. He starts out handsome and seductive. He was the one who seduced Rita to his side. During the movie, he manipulates Tommy into thinking the rangers are the bad guys with both magic and deceptions,causing the fight between the rangers. At the films climax, he gets kicked into the Zeo crystal, the power overloading and burning him. He vanishes in the explosion but a post credits scene reveals that he was rescued by Rita (perhaps with help from this universe's Dark Specter)and rebuilt into a flayed cyborg reminiscent of his 90s appearance. Just a thought 😂
I’m not convinced movie Rita Repulsa passed away. She was cast out to spaces d froze, which in a normal reality she would die. But this is Rita we’re talking about, a sorceress. It’s very possible for her to return seeings OG Rita had made her way back in her casket or whatever it was. I also don’t think it’s be good idea for Green Ranger to go Gold mid movie, either.
Lord Drakkon? Not impossible to implement in live action, but would better serve a more reputable fan service, to which I mean from official source/reputable divisions who create the content. The unfortunate side of this is I just don’t see that possible biliary anymore with JDF having passed away. Nobody could possibly replace him, unless there were a collaboration willing to dive a bit into BOOM’s reboot lore with Matthew Cook as a darker Green Ranger, which again would feel awkward at 1st as someone replacing Tommy Oliver, unless they could really drum it up a bit through a proper series, perhaps? They would have to go through so much to explain elements to newcomers who don’t know all the old connections, like Rita Repulsa becoming Mistress Vile and such.

Rita didn't die when she was launched into space. This is how she winds up on the moon. Whether or not she winds up in a trash can is unknown.

@@DaveGX I bet what really happened was, the action happened how they wrote it, and then us fans were like "HEY THEY WROTE THIS SCENE AS TRIBUTE TO HOW SHE GOT ON THE MOON!"
And the writers, totally forgetting the one detail that's literally the first thing in the intro of every episode of MMPR, just coincidentally writing the action sequence and screen play in such a way that it didn't not make sense and they're like

My idea for Tommy Oliver being the evil Green Ranger for the second Power Rangers movie. Tommy finds the green power coin and touches it. But the coin has remnants of Rita's evil on it and it influences him. It doesn't make him Rita obviously, just pushes him to act on his more darker thoughts.
As for a main villain, Lord Zedd. Need Lord Zedd in there.

If the 2017 sequel were to happen I know Kimberly will be in a team Jacob vs Team Edward situation when it comes to Jason and Tommy. Who knows? 🙂
1. Batman vs Superman dawn of Justice. Batman is not a villain, but sees Superman as an uncontrollable X factor that causes too many fatalities and too much collateral damage. Tommy should have a story arch.

Maybe that's how they will introduce Lord Zed .When she got pimp slapped so hard into space she got smack into the moon and is stuck frozen in a moon crater and the Lord Zed finds her there on the moon which would be a homage to her being found and locked away on the moon from the TV show and sentai. Lord Zed could be the main villain and the Green ranger instead of being directly controlling the Green Ranger Instead however they cast the green ranger that person finds the green power coin or the green power coin finds them and either is corrupted and corrupts the person who welds it after continues use with this new power the green ranger would be like an anti hero not bad bad yet but has their own interest but uts the coin turning and controlling them fights the rangers but then fights the putties and Zed because they want to be the big bad but then Zed and the Green Ranger have a common interest this the green ranger fights the rangers for Zed for the time being. Now what gender they make the green ranger is a question because rumors of possible making the green ranger a girl who is new intown and either have friend dynamic like buffy and faith in BVS with Tommy and Kimberly's or them as rivals but not knowing she is the Green Ranger or they cast a guy as tommy but I just hope they don't just stick a love triangle between Kimberly, Jason and Tommy and a rivalry because of that.😫🤪

I was hoping that if they ever introduced the Thunder Megazords it would be because the dragon zord destroyed the dino megazords. And that since Zordon and Alpha aren’t too keen on fiction or imagination, that they get guidance from billy being a nerdy autistic kid who would educate zordon and alpha of ancient mythological creatures and that’d be the blueprint on how the Thunder megazords are introduced

Have Lord Zedd have the White Ranger powers & have his Eltarian blue skin in the past but touching the Zeo Crystal in the past then causing him to be trapped on the moon to heal.
If they make a new movie, I wouldn't be against a sequel, but I wonder if a reboot wouldn't be preferable, keeping the best ideas from the first opus ( Rita's look ).
I would love for them to launch an MMPR cinematic universe ( and I wouldn't be against a crossover with TMNT and Transformers ).

First movie was good, we need a 2nd one. The people who disliked it were newgen, normie robots, people who have 0 intelligence or social skills and/or people out of touch with reality that thing only tiktok or twitter exists.
How's this idea?
Tommy finds the Green Power Coin, and he uses it to help people. Angel Grove could still be recked from Rita's attack, and he could have mixed feelings about the Rangers. So, whenever they help him, he brushes them off, but he is friends with them in school. Then Lord Zedd comes, and he tries to manipulate Tommy because the coin is corrupted. Zedd even controls the Dragonzord. He tries to fight the temptations, and the Rangers reveal themselves to him. They help him, and he gets closer to them because he used to be a loner, and then the power turns from green to white. Now, Tommy is a good guy from the start. Not a delinquent like the others from the first movie. We all know he is worthy to be a Ranger. He's even worthy enough to be the Red Ranger. Gaining the White Light could be a sign of his righteousness.

Maybe, but it was a success on DVD, especially in China. Many films enjoy success long after their release. And Morbius is precisely the proof, it was not a failure: it even made up for its budget ( which was not very high, let's admit it ).

If you watch zordon of eltar u would see Rita was the green ranger and she is immortal and can not truly die she was frozen not dead and the green ranger powers can be pass on without Tommy the green ranger powers belongs to Rita. And it's also worth talking about that Rita mother was a good witch and Rita father was turned evil.

Why didn't the rangers destroyed Lord Zedd in Cosmic Fury? For 30 years they could not have destroyed him. Why? They had their chance in Cosmic Fury.
Power Rangers only destroy opponents when they pose a threat. Lord Zedd no longer posed a threat and so they let him live.

I doubt if there will be a sequel for all I know without tommy oliver power rangers is sort of falling apart.
I'm good with Tommy having nothing to do with the franchise, despite popular opinion, the power Rangers franchise doesn't begin and end with Tommy Oliver. Enough of the Tommy show and focus on the original team.
@@azraiel1984 what about Tommy Oliver? If they were to cast a Tommy Oliver it would no sense for it to be Jdf if he was still alive unless the team looks about as old as he did. Be strange to have the rest of the Rangers look like can pass for early twenties and then have a 50 year old guy or older that looks like could be their Dad be the 6th ranger. Part of the appeal of the 6th ranger is not just how tough he was, but the fact he went to school with them. It is a team of peers united under the same goal to protect the earth from the forces of evil.

Hi , even now , watching this video i still cannot connect 2017 movie Rita with the 90 s Rita . This Green Ranger Rita doesnt even look like a Green Ranger just a woman reptile from the Mortal Kombat series . She is completely alien and is not a good villain and i cannot connect her in any way to Rita. It s why the movie failed
They made too many changes for the movie to a show that was written for kids to make it more mature perhaps. They should of had maybe people who know about mighty morphin power rangers watch a few minutes of it or better yet give them some details about the movie ask them how would they feel about some of the changes from the 1990s version before considering going into production. That would be smarter than changing half or more of the things about the 1990s version and gambling on whether or not it will do well. Maybe if they changed only one or two things at the most about the original version than I think it would have been more happily received by audiences. Every season of power rangers is much the same elements. A threat approaches or has arrived, young people find a coin, a crystal, some item that gives them a ranger suit with certain capabilities, a threat unites people to work as a team, they fight a monster, defeat the monster, the monster is revived and made bigger, they summon zords, form a megazord, defeat the monster and then maybe their might be a minute or two afterwards of dialogue and cue the credits. Little bit different story between the monster battles and the ending with each episode but the evil master villain of that season is defeated in each episode generally the same way with attacked as non giant monster, turned giant, after losing, loses again small dialogue then episode is over.
Rita Repulsa in the TV show was so freaking lame in my opinion...
She is up there with Ivan Ooze as the lamest main Ranger villains.
Ivan Ooze is by far the worst, but Rita was right behind him. She was just super annoying and never felt like a legitimate threat.
Lord Zedd was and always will be the best main villain in any show or movie.
