Zordon is the most famous Power Rangers mentor and possibly the most respected by all. In this fantasy universe, Zordon is a legend and all Power Rangers have heard of him. His start in Power Rangers was from the very beginning of the series and with the premiere of Cosmic Fury we could see that his appearance in the franchise was even in the last episode. Power Rangers is an American television series and franchise of the tokusatsu genre, version of Super Sentai Series, a Japanese television series of the same genre. It has been broadcast since 1993. From 2002 to 2009, the franchise was owned by The Walt Disney Company, but was reacquired in 2010 by Haim Saban, its creator and original driving force between Mighty Morphin and Wild Force (the latter created early in production before the sale of Saban Entertainment to Disney). On May 1, 2018, it was confirmed that the franchise was bought by Hasbro.

Now Billy is working on bringing Zordon back as we saw in the 30th year special and in Cosmic Fury kind of proves that Zordon is still out there, some people think that Zordon looking like Zayto in the void was meant to mean Zayto is Zordon. I like to think that it was truly that Zordon took this body as an ease of relaying a message, maybe you could say that every team that has used "May the Power Protect You" or "Rangers Forever" has been Zordon in the grid whispering to the rangers to keep going. I like the Thoery that Zordon is in a loop or was in a loop that causes a Power Ranger to become Zordon later in life, a romantic way of connecting it all such as Star Wars.
I had a theory on how Zordon could come back and at the time it was Tommy doing the mentor role again, this time with his son JJ or an adopted Son, who rebuilt the command base or now lives on the same spot the base used to be. Tommy would be trying to bring Zordon back. Still, if someone like Zedd has returned causing a massive spike in evil around the universe like the end of Cosmic, then also say that cause of Zedd returning and trying to bring back Zordon at the same time, you can't use all the Rangers from the past and their powers but you can have the past Rangers come back and teach the New generation. This is where my idea becomes the Hexagon season that never came, where there is a school to protect Earth and build new Power Rangers (this is my start to SPD but not the SPD Ranger team title yet nor costumes). I'd also make it to where JJ is the Green Ranger but he doesn't turn evil nor tells his dad Tommy uses JJ like Cam from Ninja Storm for a while as he'd be scared of losing his son more than anyone in this line of work because of his past. Tommy this whole time would really struggle with being a true mentor, I'd never have him dawn the suit again besides the ending which I would make the death of this iconic character, where he and JJ defeat Zedd together or Countdown to Destruction again, where Tommy lets Zedd slay him so that the power fills Zedd, this would be cause I like to think Tommy is one of a few Power Rangers who became as Powerful connected to the grid as Zordon. The death of Tommy was how I thought they would bring back Zordon but also refresh Power Rangers due to the importance of Tommy and especially in the recent seasons of him returning as if he was a myth even to the Rangers. Now sadly we can never get a proper send-off to Tommy due to the passing of JDF but Billy I think is a great person to use as a way of bringing back old favorites. I like that they have made the MMPR team the people who are leading the new tech City that takes us to SPD, showing that they are still trying to help the world in some way.
This is so cool to see the back story behind this. I hope they make a movie about this as well. As a kid it was so simple, but if you think about more it becomes a very complex story.

The power rangers has always been messy. Veteran rangers coming back retaining their old lost powers , lord Z reappearing when he was clearly neutralised during PR space. Etc etc. So many things just never made sense!

The one question that be bugging me since for the longest time: How does the moon have air, and normal gravity? (I mean, in the canon)? I know the show reused Japanese footage. And had to make it work. But is there a canon explanation to why there is normal gravity and air on the moon? And how it doesn't affect the Earth any different than our real life moon?
I was wondering, why Lord Zedd referred to the Eltarian people as "Zordon's people" instead of his own. Did he not want to say, that he was from Eltar once, too, because that could be used against him? Or is that specific comic not canon to the TV shows?

I think its either undecided if the comics should be show canon or they are saving that information for when he turns to good as there is even hope for Lord Zedd
At least the comics that have been published by Boom! Studios since 2016 are not canon to the shows whatsoever. They started as a modern reinterpretation of the early MMPR stories and evolved into its own continuity.

Comics cannot be canon, OG Zordon even though it was only for a second in S1 was shown as Asian (due to Sentai footage) and we know Zedd was purified into a middle aged white male in Spare, neither were blue skinned.
I would say if he is from eltar then maybe he regrets all the evil and doesn't want to bring shame to his home
