The possibility of making a sequel to the 2017 Power Rangers movie is very low, but if this would be possible, then we should talk about the important things that this new movie should have. One of the most important things should be the integration of Tommy Oliver, but we don't know if he would start as the green ranger or as the white ranger. The good thing about this, is that we could also see a new version of the Dragon Dagger or Saba.
Power Rangers is an American television series and franchise of the tokusatsu genre, version of Super Sentai Series, a Japanese television series of the same genre. It has been broadcast since 1993. From 2002 to 2009, the franchise was owned by The Walt Disney Company, but was reacquired in 2010 by Haim Saban, its creator and original driving force between Mighty Morphin and Wild Force (the latter created early in production before the sale of Saban Entertainment to Disney). On May 1, 2018, it was confirmed that the franchise was bought by Hasbro.

Second opinion is the best option in my opinion. While it does mean limiting the choices it also means a higher chance of success.
But I won't shoot down a chance to continue the 2017 movie. But can you get the actors to agree to come back?

Maybe for the new Power Rangers reboot series the can bring back the 2017 cast and set their storyline in the World of Coinless.
First movie was good, we need a 2nd one. The people who disliked it were newgen, normie robots, people who have 0 intelligence or social skills and/or people out of touch with reality that thing only tiktok or twitter exists.

Perhaps a sequel but another option is tell the story of an established team and their origin story is told through several flash backs.

Honestly they should reboot the movie and start from scratch. Secondly they should find the ppl who wrote the Lego and if they cant get them to write, get them to produce. Another thing is you have to have Creative consultant positions/ fan focus group and I would either get a poll or get ppl send in a video explaining how much of the power ranger lore they know and hire a few, some might do it for free for recognition. You do that so fan input can help not only create an accurate depliction of MMPR that fans will resonate with therefore generate the return they would want. Practical effects and CGI combined instead of all CGI, it looks better and will give it a nostalgia feel. Also if you can bring for a director go find either a Super Sentai director or someone who has film Power Ranger or superhero movies yo help with film and the photography aspects. Dont be afarid to spend the money and film maybe in America, but dont be afarid to film in other areas too. Lastily one thing the last movie did right was have some of the originals in cameos and made it feel more grounded, Id repeat at least. The disconnect was waiting damn near for the movie to be over for them to transform, you gotta find a happy medium. The original series I think it was 15 or 20 mins before they morphed into Power Rangers, not saying they should instantly change, unless you instead of giving us an origin flat out, you can instead have the origin either in flashbacks or not have one at all. You can start with a scene from the climax or third act, show the title screen and then start from the beginning whether its the origin or the catalyst that make the third act so impactful. Feel free to have fun with the movie, hell you can have it set in the 90s or you can tell Zordon's origin or you can be in Space, there about 30 yrs of lore to play with. Hell if I was them Id start with either Boom Comics run MMPR or Id tell the Shattered Grid story, RIP JDF, but that would be an unique introduction into a Power Rangers movie, hell Drakkon could be either the Thanos of the MMPRCU or the big bad of the first movie. I was thinking each movie you can have a Rita movie then a Zed movie, then them together etc etc Leading into Lord Drakkon. Hasbro could also give us the Thundercats movies too, an across between MMPR and Transformers would be lit. They really be stagnant.

They definitely shouldn't create a sequel to the 2017 movie. It was a disaster and it did destroy the essence of what Power Rangers is and what it came to be known as from the TV Series. In all honesty and actuality, they need to pick up where the 1995 movie left off. We don't need a reboot or retcon of the Green or White Rangers. The TV show is THE BEST GREEN AND WHITE RANGER depiction. Let's move forward to making a movie regarding one of the four following: Power Rangers Wild Force, Power Rangers Dino Thunder, Power Rangers Super Samurai or Power Rangers Super Mega Force.
Each were a very good and well done series. As a matter of fact, they could do 4 movies off these series and the last one to end it in theaters, years from now, Super Mega Force. That's my complete and honest opinion.

I liked this movie. As there's been many series of Rangers thru out the years. Am from the era of the original rangers . But all should have opportunities.
start with zordon orgin story build the world first then like 3 or 4 do mighty morphin.zordon will have aged and the foundation would be laid for might morphin to make return with green ranger arc
I disagree entirely I think, if anything, the producers enhance the series because seeing this again, and again in theaters made me feel like my childhood grew up along side me
They should do BOTH options which will result in an absolute success like what happended in Avengers infinity war and Avengers endgame of Marvel. this will reduce the chance of failure
1+They should make a sequel, they should fix the mistakes of the first movie, (thats the whole point of the sequel) and they should ctreate an interesting story which is a modern version but also continuation of the original story
2+They should also redo the 2017 movie .they should use the same cast and characters as the 2017 movie but use the original story and make it interesting including what you said about action (they will need to rename the 2017 movie if they do this)
3+lastly they should not try to make it like or copy Marvel or DC comics like they tried to do in the 2017 movie. This is power rangers and should remain power rangers

i dont see them using the same cast of the power rangers bc its been 7 years later and they grown up some but who knows, with goldar they could of done a way better job with the look of him,
White Ranger here looks like a reskinned Green Ranger..... The theme suggests this Tommy could almost be Lord Drakkon seeings the mix is somewhat Dragon Shield based but the rest of the suit Green and White mixed, except for the shield and helmet being a Drakkon mix, though he had a few stronger forms. Regardless, pretty sweet iteration!
They should do a 2nd power rangers movie green ranger included and just sort the looks of the zords out.

The big problem is how can they continue from 2017 and introducing Tommy at their high school when all the actors are now much older? It was a stretch for some of them to play high schoolers even in 2017. De-aging would be too expensive. Unless they did Green Ranger spin-off where the other rangers only appear in their suits to fight him. Maybe a couple of them that still look young enough can have cameos at the school but Tommy doesn't know the other Rangers' identities. It's mostly just him, Rita, Zedd and and Dragon Zord. An anti- hero movie where a teenager abuses his powers for his own self interest, eventually fighting the other Rangers and a redemption at the time with Tommy sacrificing his powers to stop Rita and Zedd.
Easy fix… make the film current.. 7 years after the Rita situation she got knocked to the moon and started building her moon palace and plotting her revenge.. let’s get Tanner Buchanan from Cobra Kai as Tommy Oliver
@@MelaninKing93 But it ended with Tommy enrolling in their high school. 7 years later would mean they knew each other for 7 years. No longer in high school or have a reason to stay together because Rita's still frozen in space. They could just recast all the rangers, keep Zordon, Alpha and Rita with the same actors and stay in 2017. Second film would be Green with Evil story arc and third film would be White Light.

I think first-time Lions gate came out with the reboot I don't think they made a mistake it's about the growing of the teenagers with attitude on top of that I would like to get some I would like to get some comments in here from Austin St John who am I got to meet when I was a child at about 4 years old I would like to see how they grow as rangers helping the community and some of that comedy come back into the sequel instead of the new Jason being so serious what's the new Vulcan skull and how the rangers and buckets call grow to help the community to bring back a little bit of that comedy but I'm interested in hearing what Austin St John would think and the original cast mentoring the new cast I know we're not going to have somebody mentored by the original Tommy Oliver I think it could be improved through making a sequel and not really changing too much of anything

I WANT a Power Rangers movie again ..... but not like that in 2017. It was ... not Power Rangers.
You do know the show is aimed towards younger audiences right? So what if the 2017 movie didn't meet your "expectations" and ruined the series. If you are basing your expectations on the 90s series, just stop already. I know I wasn't alive yet, but I know for a fact that most of you "OG" fans are just clouded with nostalgia.
You are NOT the target audience. I watched the film a couple of years ago at 10 years old and I thought it was great. I've been in the position where I thought the older versions were better. Heck I still am with the Ben 10 Series. When I was younger, I thought that Power Rangers Samurai was the best and nothing could've topped it. Looking back, I realize the CGI was bad and I can't blame myself. I was just a kid. I didn't know the difference between good and bad editing. All I thought was that it was hella good.
I'm currently 17 years old and I'm waiting on the sequel for the 2017 movie, excited for the green ranger, and if you think it shouldn't come out, get on that rocking chair, take your pills, and go to sleep old man.
The film shouldn't get a sequel. It was trash for many reasons.
The new film needs to begin on Eltar with Zordon as the first Ranger (Zenkaiger), not Red MMPR.
Rita should not be Green MMPR either.
Zedd should cameo as his Eltarian self. Set the Zeo lore up with a hint.
Goldar should be a real monster. If we had to add anything, then a new lore that says the Grid has an opposite Dirg(working name), which creates monsters.
The suits need to keep the same design but can be modern.
The zords need to be recognisable but also modern. It should have a tank mode and warrior mode.
If you're going to include autism then cast an autistic actor for the role, give them a chance, rather than tellling them that they're not able to represent their group by casing a neurotypical.
Let's get this right before we add in Evil Green and Lord Zedd. Otherwise, it's 2017 all over again.
We also need to cast Tommy right as he goes on to lead other teams.
