Sorry again about the audio and video quality! It should be back to normal next week.
It'll be fine! :P
its ok mate
i love your vid can you more a week
I build a mini bike with a 212, just thought I would thank you for the idea
+CarsandCameras when did you ever go gokarting at a place and that was in the intro
First time posting, but ive watched all your videos and love them. I'm actually building mine from a Chinese 70cc dirt bike. The motor had a bent valve so im rebuilding the top end before I dig into fabing up the rear end... to many projects, always a good thing!
Sounds good to me. Thanks for all the vid's you guys have made. I'm starting up on my own project's thanks to you guys. Just ordered the 212, torque converter and a 60 tooth sprocket for my daughters go-kart.
+Boomer's Backyard sweet. good luck
glad I'm not the only one who gets excited about riding the new projects.
You guys are great to watch I'm really taken back to when I was your age. Back in the 80s my friends and I were doing the same things but not as good as guys you guys rock hands down! Greetings from Berlin, Germany oh ps try putting like 3 springs under your seat for a sweet suspension ride!
The whole time watching this I knew that head tube angle would be too steep. I made one a few years back by chopping a bike frame and fabricating a new rear end, right now a buddy and I are taking an old granny electric scooter and putting an engine on it. It's cool what y'all are doing an how close I am to you, I grew up in Sanford 😎 keep it classy 👍🏻
I actually like seeing you guys doing the welding and cutting and placing parts in there specific place etc etc it's awesome
+Aiden john Law we had better footage but it got lost
Nice 57, do that thing up ! One of the best looking wagons ever built.
+Fitzy Holden thanks
Cool project! I might build one myself. Blue is alright try to get the plasti-dip blue. Thanks for sharing.
I love your channel been subscribed since 15k!
You should build a racing lawn tractor that would be dope
agreed
Like 1PugLife back when his videos were actually good
+Ryan Gilbert they should it would be way cool
I'm making a offroad tractor with a jcpenney tractor 319cc
i agree
Nice to see 'ol JEB! The bush got an In Memorium mention!!!
Awesome build!!
Great build guys! And the 420 with a turbo being overkill? Nah I would do the same! lol. Keep up the good work!
Love the Overkill!
More Power!
the trike looks sweet ,can't wait til it's done .
You mentioned something about bracing the upright frame to prevent flex, if you put a piece of pipe between the two big pieces of pipe I think that would help a lot with the flex! Can't wait to see it finished! keep it up!
Love the Chanel keep up the great work
Awesome can't wait till it moves
This is badass!!
11:39 excellent editing lol Great job guys love the videos
Very Excited to see this finished , Great work so far , i enjoy all your videos :) tool on gents :)
+jesse swan thanks
Yeah i liked the steady cam shot with John running after Ike,,, Oh yeah lol on the heelies
cant wait to see the turbo on the 420 its going to be awesome and i am very curious to see what a turbo does on a small engine like that but honestly no matter witch way yall take the build its going to be so cool
the blue is awesome. It would also be cool if it had white lettering on the tires. I would recommend gusseting the down tube at scrotum level quite a bit and underneath the spine at the steering tube. I'm worried the exhaust tubing you used to make the spine of the frame will bend a lot easier if you don't. A thumb throttle and torque converter would kick ass too. Cool build!
After watching yalls vidoes I ended up building my own mini bike. Its so much fun
in the process of making a drift trike of my very own! sweeet build
+geigertron3000 thanks. good luck
awesome vid guys really want to build my own trike but always struggleing to find parts!*
You guys are awesome!
+Drock2447 thanks
Great start :)
Dang that is looking really good (Body flex, it will fine)
Great job
you could extend bars out from middle beam on a 45 and make some sort of place for your feet to rest without interfering with the wheels turn radius. Also go for the blue paint :)
a triangle gusset at the bottom backbone angle connection is needed, how do you plan on doing the footpegs?
The gimbal shots from 11:30 are pretty amazingly smooth!! What are you using for those?
i love your vids so much!!!!!
+Thomas Hottinger thanks
Guys this one is coming together real nice. I really like the profile it has after seeing it with the engine. This thing is going to scream with a turbo.
+nomercyriding thanks
Guys love your videos.
Your are inspiring me for so long.
Greetings from Germany!
+Jason-Duke Prygodda and from the netherlands!
Nederland !!
WHOOOOO
+Jason-Duke Prygodda thanks. greetings germany
+offroad idiot greetings netherlands
that is an awesome intro
love the videos can't wait for the next one post it now please
As others have said, I'd add some triangles for the main frame tube. One small one where it connects to the gooseneck, and another at the bottom.
As far as the rake of the forks: I think it's a little much, but not really a problem. Maybe if you build another, make 'em just a little more straight up.
Looks sweet so far though! Have fun!
i was wondering, if the turbo idea went through, how would you guys hook up oil lines to lube and cool the turbo, are there any areas in the predator that have a strong enough oil flow to tap into without causing wear in that oil jet circuit
"and ikes about to sneeze," *ike sneezes*..... HES A WIZARD!
if you were to use a snow blower motor they usually come with a 12v power source to power the lights on a snow blower and usually have a lot of torque, great show
Cool trike. Can't wait to see it finished. Little flex on that backbone though. Has anybody suggested adding gussets to it yet? ;-)
+CarsandCameras when you guys get the trike to point where it's rideable with the engine, you guys should put some plastic pieces of pipe over the rear tires and go drift and doughnut crazy then burn out till you get to the rubber tires. it would make an AWESOME video and i would love to see it.
+Jeremy Barker with the turbo it might be able to do some drifting without the pvc just not anywhere near as crazy as with pvc
On second thought, that is a nice blue on the fork. Fade it towards western flyer red toward the rear of the frame!!!
So far so good! Also the build off challenge, will it be in spring? I feel that since we've waited for awhile now that it'd be better to start showing up in spring. Mainly the whether would be a bit warmer and more predictable. Regardless it all would come down to having time.
Great camera work, even when you were running.
I love it wuld love to build one for my self
I think a nice crimson red will do good
Keep up the good work!!
+Mike812 thanks
Sweet non-BelAir wagon. Really sweet.
+GunPilot thanks
hey i live in the charlotte north carolina area and i'm building a drift trike. i know y'all are out of NC so i was wondering where u got your steel tubing to make the frame.
i cant wait to see run.
When is the turbo gonna get involved because that is something that I kinda want to know more on and might possibly use in the medium future
That big wheel looks like it might get in the way of your legs when drifting. I guess you could put the pegs on the front and kick them back some... Looks cool. I gotta find my old huffy slider now lol
Putting a gusset on the pipes between the frame and the pipe going up to the handle bars would help with the flex and if the sharp corner close to the ground rams into something. Just an obtuse triangle made from plate or even another section of tube would do.
i love your vids
cant wait to see her runnin
I have been waiting for this video for FOTREVER
Awesome
You should call this build "nutcracker". One hard braking and goodbye wedding vegetables.
I like that name. I'll second that. The Nutcracker
Blu for the winn🙌👌
what do you use to stabilize your camera in motion?
Do you guys have any dimensions for the read frame? Like the width
Angle of the dangle man😋
Do you guys have a stabilizer for your camera? Always seem to be pretty steady when you're running alongside whoevers riding.
@carsandcameras where do you find old go kart frames?
I have an idea for the seat. Stick a solo seat on there and have it float above the frame, it would allow you to put your feet down some and have a place to set your feet.
We love you jeb
Damn billy crystal killed ya
are y'all gonna run a rear brake? our last trike had an inboard disk brake on the axle and it was so much better than just having a front break. allows you do initiate the drift and even slow it down mid drift.
do a video about your go kart please.
it looks awesome
How long did you make the back part of the frame? Before you welded the back bone on? I like the length of
Hey guys, i love your vids. as a supporting fan, i would make huge recommendation for you guys!!! i plan on buying a frame and a predator for my new gokart plan, but i wanna be able to shift it. i dont know how to make a shifter kart though... maybe for future plans you guys could make a video on one, and build one. just a thought . thanks guys!!!
lol John was about to pass out after that short sprint, trying to play it off and stuff
are you guys going to put pvc slicks on the tires or just gunna burn rubber?
+relientker pvc
I like the blue also.
We're would you put your feet if the wheel has to move rapid to drift
Go Kart with a wheelie bar...
I subscribed....
is the turbo going to have an intercooler ?
How he keep the camera so still in his hand when he was running full sprint? Image stabilization? Jc
What kind of tubing are y'all using for the frame
+Noah Foley exaust pipe and other random pipes
Hey guys, I know you are pretty linked with go power sports but if you wanna buy a torque converter they've got em on sale for 109$ at bmi karts right now in the cleanse section. Just lettin y'all know! Thanks for another great video
What kind of pipe yall using
It'll be fine!!
cool and blue
where did you get the clutch?
What type of battery do y'all plan to use on the trike, and does a 40 series torque converter fit a 420?
+insanerifelman26 weve got a battery but im not sure what series it is. and a torq a verter like the one on out 670 engine will fit
+Isaac it'll be fine Thanks, looking foreword to the next installment of the build.
Not sure about the angle of the dangle on that thing, but it'll be fine.
Yall using EMT for that big pipe in the middle?
Nice
what are you guys doing for the foot rest, are you going to do a Y foot set up or are you just putting pegs on the front end
+BeMad4M3 y set up
cars and camera's
for foot position. thinking stunt peg style but make a bracket up to bolt onto the axel nut but then put the pegs closer so at the start of the wheel. so like a L bracket about 14" long. may need a braise on the bracket above the axel hole. which will rest on the front side of the forks and take the load when ur feet are on the pegs
i love that car
How long should the rear axle be?
+CarsandCameras
I think the stuff you guys build is really cool and I enjoy watching your videos, very fun!! I have to tell you though, as a matter of safety, for your sakes, exhaust tubing is NOT structural. It will fold up under too much pressure like the bars on an old kiddy swingset. The union of the "backbone of the frame and the lower portion, is VERY dangerous! If that weld breaks, the frame will dig into the ground like a javelin. Gusset that point and re-enforce it, also the joint holding the forks onto the "backbone should be gusseted and re-enforced. This stuff could hurt you guys BAD! I'm not criticizing, just looking out for you.
From an experienced builder and Machinist/Welder.
+cwthemachinist we are reinforcing it
Must have got a gimbal? Nice smooth shots, helps heaps!
That '57 wagon is a Chevy Nomad I think it's cool with the bel air script on it
are you gonna run pvc or since it is gonna have so much power just drift with the rubber?
+saamy dash pvc
trike is coming along great. paint it a bright yellow.
