Potato on pizza is actually extremely underrated, first time I tried it I was blown away. Remember to use cooked potato though. Also, the saltyness of bacon with the potato is an insane combo.
I don't get why you call it "pizza bianco", the correct Italian name for pizza without tomatoes is "pizza biancA". It looks really nice though, I'm hungry now! Love from Italy :)
Verdiana We native English speakers often have trouble with the gender-specific words in Latin-based languages. We seldom know which things are supposed to be male or female, or why. We _do_ sometimes call our vehicles "she," but it pretty much ends there. Oh, and we used to call certain weather phenomena exclusively by female names, but that is no longer politically correct.
Hi, I really want to make this one with my kids. It looks soooo delicious! The problem is cream cheese is quite hard to find in France. I don't even really know what it is... Is anyone familiar with that kind of products being sold in my country? Would Saint-Moret or Philadelphia do? Any other suggestion? Thanks !
Trying to lose the last 20 pounds and you put this up. I hate you. Just kidding, it looks great and when I'm done I might use this for a happy day meal. I love rosemary.
Italian, like French, Spanish, and Portuguese, has something called noun declension, which in the case of the majority of the modern Romance languages, means that words, generally adjectives, have to agree to the number and gender of the noun they modify. In our case, the stem "bianc-" has to agree to the number and gender of the word "pizza". In Italian, there are four categories for number and gender: masculine singular, feminine singular, masculine plural, & feminine plural. The stem "bianc-" declined in that order would make it: bianco, bianca, bianchi, bianche. Since "pizza" is a feminine singular noun, the adjective would be "bianca". (en.wiktionary.org/wiki/bianco#Italian)
Hello my name is Jordan I'm 23, from Melbourne Australia I may not be a chef but am very passionate about food and food education not only in schools but in the whole community and it is my dream to one day see the people realise the health and well being benefits of being able to grow and cook their own food. It's my dream to be part of your mission empowering people with these important life skills and help the future generation and with your help I think we can make a difference
Oh my God, you don't how great it feels to find another like me. I'm in step prep mode and here I am, in a foodtube rabbit hole. I just wan't you to know, you're not alone man, we're gonna make it.
Then be a chef! Do what you want to do not what pays the most, you'll find that all the money in the world can't buy you as much happiness as what doing what you love does
Brendan Ryan Thanks for the encouragement! I do really wan't to be a doctor, it's just that their are so many downs on the journey there, and it seems so tough that you just wan't to escape sometimes. And I agree, money is way overrated, and food is life!
***** When your native language has no gender, it's *really* difficult! Imagine I said to you that every English noun has a colour attached to it, and you better only ever talk about it in the correct colour way. Dogs and chairs and scissors are green and turtles and chocolate are purple, and even when you're describing something other than the colour of these things, you must communicate that you *know* the associated colour, or you've made a mistake. Does that sound crazy? That's what adding a gender concept to words is like for English speakers! It is a very unnatural thing for us to do and so hard to pick up. We try, but forgive us our mistakes! ;)
Amy H hehe, nice example there Amy :) and of course i forgive it, although will correct it :P but using the right term isn't that hard after all: feminine words usually end with A, and will need an adjective ending with A, masculine do the same with O (unless exceptions). Cheers
2+1/2 to 3 minutes, my ass. No pizza will cook that fast in any home oven. You'd need coal or wood to cook a pizza in that amount of time. In a regular home oven, even at max temp, pizza takes at least 7 minutes, unless you want it doughy and undercooked. Other than that, good video. That pizza looks amazing.
putting potato on pizza is not weird at all. That looks very much like a traditional dish belonging to where I live (Malta). It is called 'ftira' here which looks very much like pizza and it is delicious, like this one looks:)
***** Pizza dough is like a blank canvas. You can put many different things on it. It can be an edible work of art. Is sugar really needed when making dough with yeast? I put sugar in with my yeast and water. Cheers!
This looks almost like Croatian continental white pizza (or in Croatian "perica"). Only difference is there is no rosemary and egg is mixed in the cheese.
Could you make a video about 'how to choose alternation ingredient'. I mean when you talk about specific ingredient of food. I can't really find that ingredient easily as you do in your country. If I can't find or if it is so expensive to buy some specific ingredients you said. What kind of ingredient should I choose without changing taste.. maybe a little. That might be interesting video too! How do you know this one and that one would be taste good for this kind of food. You know what I mean??
Potato on pizza is actually extremely underrated, first time I tried it I was blown away. Remember to use cooked potato though. Also, the saltyness of bacon with the potato is an insane combo.
Looks amazing!
Looks amazing!!! I love Jamie's way of cooking. He really seems to have a weird (in a good way) connection with his food.
"dont put too much topping on top." - jame olives
words to live by
***** Nonono, Jamie Olives. He's loves his Olives, look at the amount of Olive oil he puts on stuff. O-love Jamie Olives.
***** pretty sure is jame olives ask him
DR. Frankenstein Trolling Frankenstein is trolling
Mark Huang jamie olivoil
Don't put the topping on the bottom either, it doesn't work...
Jamie, 5 thumbs up! That cream cheese/lemon sauce looks good and yes, yes, yes on the rosemary. Yummy! TFS and Inspiring :)
I love how FoodTube makes everything look so achievable.
Pizza - the greatest human invention, except fire ( because you need it to bake pizza ) :)
Isabel Vidoni fire is not an invention, so pizza comes first
okay, not technically so i agree :')
Clearly you haven't seen the raw vegan pizza made entirely with cucumber lol
I don't get why you call it "pizza bianco", the correct Italian name for pizza without tomatoes is "pizza biancA". It looks really nice though, I'm hungry now! Love from Italy :)
Verdiana took the 'o' from potato?
:P

Because Jamie Oliver is THE MAN, everything he makes gets to end in O, not A!
So, this is now pizzo bianco, with potato, rosmario and olivio.
sukumvit hahahahah I laughed
+Verdiana If that bothers you, you should hear how he says waffer, as in waffer thin.
Food fact : at 1:22 he is showing us the middle finger
how to make spaghetti sauce
The potato sounds like an amazing idea. And the olive oil on the rosemary has probably changed my life haha thanks Jamie!
Love this combination.
I will try to make it one day.
I ate this in Italy, it's amazing and now I know how to make it :) ty!
I tried this recipe several times i just love it
Jamie Oliver is the best chef
Potatos and Rosemary are always a great combination. I'm going to try that recipe.
I love this pizza!!! I neeeeedd take it! When mom comes up, I'm going g to make it with her!!!
And my favorite pizza topping? Cheese cheese cheese and more cheese!!! *****
That sounds really good!!!
*****, we are having a pizza night!!! ***** I'm going to make a video! I'll let you know when it is up! Yay! I'm excite!

Ah i love pizza bianco!
Jamie always gives me the best foodgasm XD and Nigella Lawson as well for sweets mmMmmm
Hi,
I really want to make this one with my kids. It looks soooo delicious! The problem is cream cheese is quite hard to find in France. I don't even really know what it is... Is anyone familiar with that kind of products being sold in my country? Would Saint-Moret or Philadelphia do? Any other suggestion?
Thanks !
Try using crème fraîche instead, it’s more traditional as well.
Amazing! I love food tube! I'm working to set up my own cooking channel actually.
P.S. I'm definatly going to make this!
I think I am going to like this channel. Smile.
Trying to lose the last 20 pounds and you put this up. I hate you. Just kidding, it looks great and when I'm done I might use this for a happy day meal. I love rosemary.

Will definitely try this one! Looks delicious!
Love pizza! Thank you Jamie!!!
I just made your focaccia and I can say from experience that Potatoes and Bread go really well together! :)
Hi Jamie. i never had pizza without tomato sauce , but the white pizza looks yummy
well done...potatoes pizza...look so awesome, must try!
I reckon a couple of anchovies torn over this would be the bizness . . .
THE PART HW PUTS THE WHOLE BACON ON TOP AHHAHA
Mhm this looks delicious! Now I know what Pizza Bianca is :D Never thought about putting potatoes on my pizzas. :)
Potato on pizza is the best!
Yes. Everyone loves pizza
Love this idea, a variation on the London Pizza. I'd change the pancetta for facon, but I will be giving this one a try.
Shouldn't it be "Pizza Bianca" because pizza is a feminine noun in Italian, not masculine?
Bianco means white, it's not the masculine term for Bianca.

u are right
Fahim Azaz sa
pizzA is indeed biancA, but you could mena the same thing by saying "pizza in bianco".
Love potato on pizza, will def give this a try x
Beautiful! I love it!

+Brendan Ryan its isnt like treating people doesn't make me happy. its just that the journey is a son of a bitch
Brendan Ryan Thanks for the encouragement! I do really wan't to be a doctor, it's just that their are so many downs on the journey there, and it seems so tough that you just wan't to escape sometimes. And I agree, money is way overrated, and food is life!
Great topping, nice base!
old school Jamie, just awesome.
Mmm.. Really good
Awesome 👍
Kids, when Jamie says "air" he means CO2 that the yeast fart out.
I'm gonna make this and I'm gonna use *TWO* slices of bacon instead. Nobody can stop me.
Am I the only one that’s bothered by “pizza blanco” it should be “pizza blanca”😂
"And if you thing having bread and potatoes weird, alright, fair enought. Try it." Will do Jamie, will do!
I have gotta stop watching food videos :) I am hungry now.
That looks amazing!!!!
Delicious
The less you put the amount of yeast the more crispy and light so thats why this recipe use very little yeast
really easy to make pizza....really amazing flavor
Jamieeeee, it's Pizza Bianca: B I A N C A !! what's so difficult with masculine and feminine :D
***** Maybe he wanted his pizza to be masculine :)
Tethmes that only applies to sausage pizza

That passive aggressiveness.
Simple! Love it!
Without the parmesan and the pancetta a perfect dish for people with histamin intolerance, thanks xx
That cream cheese, was that Philadelphia?
I like your hair like that, reminds me the old days!
It looks real great .
It's sooo delicious!
4:08 Thoughts of epic meal time youtubers
What do you typically do with the other three portions of dough, how do you save them. Or do you just make 4 pizzas at a time?
77
If you don't use all the dough can you freeze it? If not how long will it last if not used.
This is the business
"If it wasn't elastic, you'll see my middle finger sticking out of the dough." I saw that Jamie lol
Such a coincidence I just looked up this recipe on his site yesterday.
Remembers me of german/french flame cake.
***** Pizza dough is like a blank canvas. You can put many different things on it. It can be an edible work of art. Is sugar really needed when making dough with yeast? I put sugar in with my yeast and water. Cheers!
As much as I know, sugar feeds the yeast so yeah, imo it's necessary
No, you don't need sugar, the natural sugars in the flour feed the yeast. Adding refined sugar will make it rise faster, but is not necessary.
Bread rises because yeast farts :P
Who is watching this in the toilet????
Can i use creamy spread cheese in this recipe? thanks *****
Oh my God, you were like 12 in this video! =) Tried it. Love the pizza.
Can I use this recipe for bread?
Pizza biancAAA With an A. It has to agrEEE!!!!
Hehehe i'm getting the feeling that Jamie Oliver listens to Drum and Bass.
looks good
I'm LITERALLY eating a hot dog.
And you literally mean literally... In other words you're not talking about the American frankfurt in a roll...
This looks almost like Croatian continental white pizza (or in Croatian "perica"). Only difference is there is no rosemary and egg is mixed in the cheese.
So good.
Had to make a few tweeks, but I just made this. Do it.
Any particular reason why he's not using fresh yeast?
Looks amazing but - What are the alternative if I don eat red meat?
Isn't pork a white meat though? Anyway, maybe turkey or chicken cold cuts
I hope all that dough was used and not wasted :D
This sounds like a flammenkeuche (in German, flame cake) which is also eaten in Alsace. :)
does yeast not need a small amount of sugar?

can I freeze the leftover dough?
100% made in another oven
home oven without pre heated base doesnt get that colour in 2/3 minutes
