I tried the heavy variant of the xinhais and love the way they sound. I do however typically buy switches for franken switching stuff now. I found the bottoms to sound deeper maybe cleaner is a better word(?) than my gazzew U4 and LT bottoms. Pretty much im gonna be buying more of the heavies to steal the bottoms and springs. Hands down though the best stock switches ive ever tried. Aesthetics aside of course, cuz im a bit of a sucker for transparent/not fully opaque housings. Currently my favorite setups are... Typing (Linear): Xinhai bottoms, Gazzew PC tops(latest vers), Xinhai Stem, Xinhai (Heavy)Springs. Gaming (Linear): Xinhai bottoms, Gateron Milky Tops (Shouldnt matter which, i use latest yellow pros, will need to clip the insides flat tho), Gazzew LT Stem, Gazzew LT springs. Honorable mentions as i usually prefer tactiles for typing and gaming or even just typing, its basically a modified holy boba: Gazzew bottoms/housings, Drop Halo Stem(Sub in U4T if needed), And either the standard Gazzew top of choice or the same Milky Yellow switch tops clipped to not collide with the bottoms. For the honorable mention you can also sub in WS Morandi housings as they sound and look amazing with halo stems but you will have to then sand em down to get the switch to actuate, so dont do this unless you are fairly DIY minded. Id recommend a caliper and going bit by bit (make sure to round them off too). Finally if your ocd like me do extras just so you can find the closest matching set of stems. As for lube i use a really old paintball lube meant for use on plastics, pom, silicone & rubber based O rings mostly though. Its usually composed primarily of dow 33 watered down with various dyes or additives. Its called hatersauce i believe its their v2(green) formula you cant find much info on sadly. I would justify using whatever you can get from dye paintball these days as its usually slightly less viscous dow 33. That or make your own stuff with dow 33. Always remember less is more especially with donut dipping. It reminds me of the stuff that i get on my Gazzew switches which he recommends basically to use a grease based lube but more watered down to not goopify your tactile. I use this stuff on all my switches though. Donut dipped springs, rails, sometimes leaves even but only on the back if im hearing ping i cant get rid of.
Those sound pretty clacky, just like I like it! Super light for bottom out, not sure about that but I'd give them a try
It came very well lubed, best I've seen so far.
