    It sounds like a balance wheel regulated clock in the background. 🤔 I like it. This movement seems well built.

    That was a fine tutorial demonstration for correctly assembling the HMT 0231 movement. Beautiful clean movement. Thank you for showing us this. I will use this tutorial for assembling my watch at home. Very useful video.

    Hi mate, I hope you're doing well. One question to ask you, I haveHMT Kohinoor and i noticed thate there 0230 is etched on the movement. Also there is 'M' is etched on movement below the balance wheel. Can you tell me that it's original movement or not?

      @ghulamgows  7 месяцев назад +1

      Hi. Hope you are doing well. Apologies for the delayed reply. Regarding your concern, I would say that your watch movement would be most likely original. Both the markings: 0230 and M are correct. I haven't known about any 'fake' or 'copy' HMT calibers but there are many frankens - movements / watches made up of parts from different watches. Still, not a worry in case of an HMT watch. Enjoy your HMT Kohinoor!

      It's not a very refined movement but keeps decent time.

    I'm not sure how he slid that escape wheel in like that. I always have to put it in right after the center wheel, then put in the plate and second wheel. The escape wheel slotting into the train bridge is so difficult. I think i used all the right terminology. But wow are those wheels hard to get into place, he made it looks so easy

    The trick is to buy these affordable watches and adjust them until they're basically as accurate as much more expensive watches. Also, they don't seem to be waterproof. At least the ones I got.

    would you know where I can find the spring for the mainspring ratchet and more importantly the stem?
    I'm playing with a HMT Pilot parashock, that had a broken stem and found that the spring for the ratchet is missing. I am about to just buy another HMT pilot and switch out the dial. and disassemble the one I have for parts.

      Hi, hope you are doing well. In India, spares for the HMT movements are easily available and more importantly, HMT watches pre-owned cost usually 15-25 dollars and are easily available. There isn't a dedicated resource online from where you can shop the parts but I can point you in the direction of some vintage watch dealers that could ship watches or calibers to where you are from.

    I have a 80's HMT ladies watch of my Mother but she doesn't want to wear it , I ask about it she told me it becomes slow and watch had been changed it's original Dial. Would you convert it into Men's watch for me with original HMT any of model dial. If yes how much cost I have to pay?

    • @ghulamgows
      @ghulamgows  11 месяцев назад

      I am not a professional in this, just do it as a hobby. I would recommend you buy a used HMT men's watch. You can find perfectly working examples which cost about 1000 INR. If that's feasible for you then it's a good choice. Moreover, you can keep your mother's watch as a memory and pass it on as a gift as well.

      Hello. These are individual tools most of which I've purchased online from Amazon and Flipkart. To start, you just need a screwdriver set (0.8, 1.2 & 2mm) tweezers and a magnification loupe (4x and 10x).
