Jennifer Miller, thank you for sharing this video. So MANY things I can remember from hearing such cadence. I loved my experience in the Army ( and hated some of it too ) ! Over the years, I was fortunate to see and talk to some of of those friends I served with. I know many do not have that great opportunity.
In basic training, I had a woman Drill Sgt. in my platoon. She held me accountable one time! I got off lucky! She called me out. I made a bad excuse, but I think I got K.P. for it. I don't really know the real reason but.... ! What I'm saying is that she did what she did because she did her job, and I respected her for that.
Anyway, just after I graduated from Basic training, I thought I was a somebody again. So I was walking around the base, when she walked by me. I knew she was recently awarded some honor. So as I walked by her, I got the nerve to say, "Congratulations." She looked at me and smiled, and said, "Thank you."
About this Drill Sgt. with that amazing voice..., She does! She inspired. She also believed in herself, which is a part of what got her there!
Anyway, I respect the Drill Sergeant. They ( He and She ) deserves that honor. 😎
