WITH 45 years between them, a husband and wife are used to getting looks wherever they go - especially because they have a two-year-old son. It’s not uncommon for people to mistake 25-year-old Stefani’s husband for her father. Don is 70 years old, the same age in fact as Stefani’s late father. But the unlikely couple, from Armstrong, British Columbia, Canada, have been together for five years, married for a year and a half and share two-year-old-son Lachlan. While they have the full support of family now, Stefani admits her family were concerned about her settling down with someone so much older - aside from the judgement they receive when out in public. How long would Don be around for his family?

I'm 25 and the past few years have been the best of my life: I travelled many many places, found friends from all over the world, gained lots of experiences both at jobs but also at university, found hobbies, new passions and learned to be an independent person. I learned so much about my self, without partying all day all night...

I am like you also but we are outliers. Most people just stay in their hometowns and get married if they are lucky and that is where happiness lies for most people. Very few people go traveling around and doing all of these things.

You can lose parents at any age. My father died at 74 and barely got to see me get married and have my first child. He had health problems for so long i was afraid he would never see me enter middle school.
What matters is you make the best memories you can while you still have them!!

even she never thought she would be with someone don's age, she dated and preferred older men about 10 to 15 years older but never 45 years older . if someone is for you they are for you regardless of age.

The fact that they love each other proves that this can actually work. It is not for other people to decide. They love each other and that is all that really matters. People can say whatever they want and have their own opinion, but the fact that they are together and it works proves that societal Prejudices are just that Societal Prejudices. The way I see it, all types of Prejudices are wrong, rather it is race, homophobia or Age Discrimination, and people can choose to date whoever they want personally, but to judge others because of age is Age Discrimination rather people want to accept that or not. I know a couple over 30 years apart that love each other very much with children. There is something about intergenerational relationships that tend to be very special and beautiful that work very well, they have my support 100% and I wish them good luck and much happiness!

I still believe age aint nothing but a number when it comes to love. However though,I honestly feel that a woman should not be younger than half the age of a man she intends being with,kind of makes sense if a couple plans on having a child.
