Great list. I also think giant size X-Men #1 is still one of the most undervalued books out there today when you consider the number of first appearances and the importance of this team.

Great video. I remember picking up ASM 252 and Secret Wars 8 when they first came out. Still have them and recently graded by cgc.

I just received my very first cgc comic in the mail, a 9.4 Batman 423 McFarlane comic 👍🏼😄 super cool to hold in my hand and see up close, my very first slab

There are two things I would add for new collectors.. and u know way more than I do about comics, so there may be a reason u didn't mention this.. one is the significance and price difference of newsstand vs direct.. and that Batman 423 has 3 prints and to make sure they get the first print for investment.. or any print if they just like it for the cover art since the cover is pretty much the same. Thanks for the videos. I consistently learn something when I watch👍👍

PCGS Morgans, pre 1933 gold especially Saint Gaudens 20s and pre civil war branch mints. I personally love the 5s. For Morgans I highly recommend Q David Bowers Morgan Dollar book. To really understand where oppurtunities lie one must understand the history of how the supply hit the market. It is a fascinating story.

Hulk 340 is dropping in value fast… Now 1 year later its only going for $800, 50% drop in 1 year… Not looking good for that book, but I love it! One of the best covers ever!

Great Video, what's funny is I just recently found your channel and started to watch your videos, then one day I inadvertently bought a couple of your books, it had your COA in the packing. I just thought it was a funny coincidence.
Dang, I have all but two - Hulk and X-Men. Guess I was lucky to be a Spider-Man fan. None of my books are graded but I doubt any are 9.8.
Thanks for the great video Bry. To this point the only one's I have owned are a 9.8 copy of Secret Wars #8 and a raw copy of ASM 252 which I sold last year. What is interesting is how many of those books are some how related to Todd McFarlane. I definitely want to find a copy of Batman 423 next as I agree with you that it is an awesome cover.

Great advice as I just bought my very first few slabs and just had a couple ASM raw books sent to me via eBay Auctions.
Awesome choices for beginning collectors. I have least 4 of the 8 in my PC. Just gotta find those once in a lifetime deals for the other 4🤞🏽

I’m a new collector start last month and i already have atleast 100 ASM Vol 1 and some x-men and wolverine. But it start to get mo expensive but i liked it. Can’t wait to get more in the future

You nailed it with this list!! I've got 6 of the 8 books and multiples of them all! They've been solid investments for many years now!! -- And as you pointed out, they are very liquid! -- Everybody wants them, and always will! Get the 80's books in high grade!!

I've been after that Hulk #340 deal for a while now... every comic shop I hit wants way over FMV for beat to death reader copy... awesome cover but I'll pass on 30-50% markup.

First time seeing this video and it looks like I'm on the right track as I'm 8/8 on your top 8! They're not all 9.8s but they are at least 8.5 or higher (except GSX which is 4.5) .
