This is one of the saddest songs I have ever heard, Enya's songs are amazing, she sings from deep down her heart. She is an angel when she sings.

If you haven't read The Silmarillion, Beren and Luthien's story is probably the greatest love story i've ever read! Tolkien somewhat mirrored Arwen and Aragorn's story after them.

I'm so very sorry for your loss of your son. Jason Taylor Hays is a beautiful name. I don't know you and your husband, but I'd give you both hug the best I can do is a virtual one so *hugs*. I had to be born a month early and had lot of complications and am honestly lucky to be alive. I wish your son had been as lucky as me. At least he was lucky to have a mother and father that loved him. I'm so sorry your little boy didn't make it. I can't imagine the pain you both feel, but I know he's waiting for you.

Viggo & Liv were masterful in their acting; the chemistry was heightened and breath-taking for me; one of cinematic's brilliant acting couples; just a fantastic movie in my top 10 of all time. In the second category are songs and music of an enchanting nature, telling stories of heroes, tragedy, love, but in ballad or poetic form as of old days. The are ageless forms going back thousands of years and still with us today. But let us not pretend that they are equal in time or the count of centuries. Songs like sung by Enya or Annie Lennox for the LOTR trilogy are old school. They flow through the ages and vibrate the very existence by which we live.
This is the dearest wish of all that we as humans can make... to be where the ones we love are. This is why the Resurrection must be real. Else, why must we have the capacity to love? It has no end, and so must we.

If I want to relax I listen to Enya. When I want to be surrounded by talentless droning, I listen to anything from today's generation. Kayne is but, one of many in that line of thought. Has anyone noticed the depth which exists in music from the 70's to early 90's? Their music did not exist on a single riff. Today's music seeks to catch your attention with the same repetitive sound, yet that same sound that catches your ear, drives you crazy after awhile. Enya created her sound by singing on top of her own voice. She did this several times over, which is why she did not tour as it was too difficult to repeat that sound live. We could listen to her work and not grow tired of it. Decades later the same is true. This is the difference between music with talent, and repetitive dribble. Sadly, there are many who think what they have today is good, which goes along the line of being spoon fed so often with today's garbage that they do not know what they are missing. Thus, they come to this song and click dislike because, they simply do not know any better. ;-)

My Wife died over four years ago now and every night when I go to bed I listen to this song because it pretty well describes the way I feel. When everything is silent in the house this song settles me down. It's effect on me is still as relevant now as it was at the start of this grief journey. This woman has a voice that is angelical, haunting and melancholy, all at the same time. I thank her for a song with lyrics that are vocally clear and perfectly fits the way I feel and "wish I could somehow fulfill".
