A 4 burner kitchen hob is useful when you are a slightly larger family and you are able to multitask really well while cooking. I’m comparing
the following 4 burner kitchen hobs - Bosch Tempered Glass, Bosch POH6B6B10I, Elica 694 CT VETRO 2J (TKN CROWN DT), Hindware KA Hob, H100047 Laura 4B, Whirlpool Elite HD 604 Brass, Gilma Ebony 12718 , KAFF CRH 604 , Faber Maxus HT904 CRS BR CI AI , Faber Maxus HT604 CRS BR CI AI , Faber Hobtop Imperia Plus 604 , Glen 1074 , Glen 1064, Hafele MAGNA 60-4 , iBELL 590GH
Cheapest 4 burner kitchen hob is Elica 694 CT VETRO 2J (TKN CROWN DT)
Shape & Size: You get 4 burner kitchen hobs in both squarish and rectangular shapes. The rectangular ones are useful if you want to leave some space from your backsplash and the front of your counter top. Rectangular ones are upwards of 70cm width and will require a larger chimney of 90 cms width. Squarish ones are a lot more compact at about 60 cms width and can make do with a 60 cm kitchen chimney.
Burner type: Almost all the models compared today have a brass burner with the exception of the Bosch models that have an Italian burner and the Kaff 604 model which has a Brass Tornado burner which has a different flame composition.
Flame size: Next is the flame size - now the determination of this is based on your usage.
Ignition: All the Faber ones come with a battery ignition option, all the others come with an electric ignition.
Flame Failure Detection (FFD): Now this is available in lot of the advanced models like the Bosch kitchen Hob, Faber Hobtop Imperia Plus and Hafele Magna.
Almost all models come with a 1-2 year warranty with a 5 year warranty on the burners. Only Whirlpool comes with a 10 yr warranty on glass. After sales in general depends on the area that you live in, but in general iBell has been called out for a not so great after sales service. - Наука

Hi Varun, yes you can!
Thank you for your good service and i always enjoy watching you speak with such conviction and commitment. Thank you
Thanks for the amazing video!!! I was really confused with all these models but now after watching your video it helped me to choose my type! 🤗🙏
Hi! Glad it was useful!
A refreshing experience indeed, to listen to your presentations, amidst the mad crowd of cliche reviews by novices. Thank you.
Thank you!
Excellent review, no one has done such a wonderful job till now about this topic
Namaskara Saumya.
I have watched many videos on youtube related to comparison of hobs and stoves but the way you have done the comparison with technical data is excellent and is matchless so far.
Felt like display and comparison of different hobs under one roof.
Thank you and all the best.
Hi Chaitanya! Thank you so much! Glad it was helpful!
I am in love with this lady ! keep up the work !
Haha thanks so much, Roy!
thank you for an indepth research, this saved me days of research . kudos to you
Hi Vishesh, glad it was useful!
Wow, I confused last one month which one to buy. After saw your vedio now i give a idea to family and my friends also. Thank you please post more videos in all topics
Hi Syed! Glad it was helpful!
Brilliant presentation...No extra's. filled with true content. thank yo so much.
Hi Vinay! Glad you found it useful! Thanks for dropping a note :)
1. Does an Italian burner have a better chance of preventing the spillage to get inside the inner area of the hob? That would be a good feature for a hob although slower cooking time may be an irritant.
2. Indian burners in the traditional stoves which have open bottom are convenient because the spillage goes down on the kitchen platform and can be easily wiped off by lifting the stove. What is your experience?
3. Is a glass top is easy to clean? I have a Hobtop with a high quality ( so they claim ! ) glass top. But when there is a spillage which you fail to immediately wipe off, it does not seem to have any advantage over stainless steel top. Just adds a bit to the aesthetic appeal.
What is your experience?
@CK -
1. Italian burners have a plate on top of the burner - so it does prevent it from going to the inside area of the hob. Slow cooking worked for me, but super expert cooks will have trouble :D
2. Yeah cleaning the burners is a bit of a task - also because the burner cannot be completely dismantled. I don't know if that is specifically in my model, I don't think so. If that's the case, the inside part of the burner it's tough to clean.
3. Glas top is super easy to clean. Well, if the spillage is left for a while - I put some water and let it soak and then wipe it off. No issues at all. I like the aesthetic appeal of the glass - although if you are cooking with really hot tandoor type of vessels - glass top may not be ideal - although they don't specifically call it out.
Hello.
Can you suggest a good cooktop burner brand from service and spare availability pov
I was looking for 3 burner autoignition cooktop.
In depth research and much needed. thank you
Thanks for dropping a kind note, Abdul!
Pls share your review on hafele vertx000 and faber utopia 804
Your single biggest contribution in this domain is NOT that you compare and recommend devices which is ideal as per the use case. But beyond this, if anyone cares to notice, one can learn to master this mechanism of parameter based decision making, by watching your videos. Most people watching such videos would generally be focused on the recommendations. But the mechanism itself can be learnt by following your videos which is an added benefit. Kudos to you ! At some point, you can even make a video explaining this mechanism. Just a thought that came to my mind 😊
Hi CK! Thank you! I think MBA and years of monitoring what competitors are doing has ingrained that in me so much now that it is second nature. Good point - if someone is looking for that. Looking at how many people in this space only give recommendation without a justification and are successful - I sometimes wonder if I'm doing a bit much :D
@Harpy Hours with CK : Totally agree with you! Earlier, I had to research myself for each and every item I purchase. Now all I need to do is, look in this channel for the items I intend to buy! Things to be considered, pros and cons, different models, price range - evrything available in a single place. Lot of my time saved!
Thank you, @MsRifna! Too kind, too kind 😊
Hi. Thanks for very comprehensive comparison videos. You are certainly doing a wonderful job. I was about to bite the bullet on the Hafele Magna 60-4 when I enlarged the image on Amazon and noticed a branding which says Nagold. I also noticed 2 users have horror stories about the Nagold series, mainly utensils going black. Is the model which you have recommended a different model or is it also prone to similar issues. An early reply will be appreciated as my kitchen work is going on and we need to cut the granite to size tomorrow. Thanks a million and keep up the good work.
Hi! It is also Nagold series but not heard of blackening of vessels in this model.
This was a clear comparison with the right parameter 😃
Hi Nisha! Thank you, glad it was useful!
Very well presented thanks
Great info! Before I saw this video, I had zeroed in on the Bosch (side knob version) because it had a 3.3 KW wok burner - and this heat output is the highest I have seen for hobs on Amazon. So wouldn't this be the fastest in cooking time despite it being an Italian burner?
Hi Praveen, thank you! Yes, I think the largest burner has about 3.3KW output. But if you see a similar sized brass burner, it will have a better cooking efficiency. I recommend you taking a look in a store before you buy this one - as you will get a good gauge of the efficiency
Thanks for the information, very helpful.. I think i will go for Bosch it’s got what I want .. distance side knobs and round knobs , what do you think let me know , thanks
Hi Minal, Bosch specs are great, including the FFD - which is very useful from a safety point of view.
Thanks for the vid - we are looking to replace our old KAFF N 9042 TRG (4 burners) Unfortunately this model is deprecated by Kaff now.. This had a non-standard inner/outer cutting size and I am at wit's end trying to find a 4-burner that will fit the space... Would you know of some websites where one could search basis cutting sizes? Thanks!
Hi mailtorajrao! Oh no, this is a big problem with hobs actually. I don't know sites which allow filtering basis cutting sizes, but you may find this site www.kitchenbrandstore.com/hobs more easier to search.
@@TheGrapevineIndia Thanks! Will take a look.
Do you have any ceramic gas burners?
You are going to be a successful youtuber.. Keep goingbwith your honest work. Your subscribers will be ur asset.
Hi Hala! Thank you so much! Appreciate the note 😊
Thanks for your reply.. you have recommended two Bosch one is black and steel finis .. which is more suitable , I am very confused please help. Thank you so much
Hi Minal - if you do very heavy heat cooking - then stainless steel may be better. But in most cases - glass hob is good enough.
Superb you have put alot of efforts thanks gbu :)
Thank you so much 😊
Although, not living in a area with frequent powercuts; Just in case, can electric hob be ignited manually too?
Yes, with a lighter.
hi Saumya, how about Kaff NVH 603,
BLH 603,
MFBX 603 ???
I have already selected KAFF ALBURY 60 Chimney so I want to buy good KAFF hob only (Preferably 3 Burners).
Hi Anuj, i use a Kaff too - this model amzn.to/3j9dVSP. Quite good.
You have explained wonderfully. Came in search of hob reviews and trust me your review was the only one which was to the point and made sense. Thank you so much for clearing all my doubts.
Thank you, Preethi! Glad it was useful!
wd be grateful for ur reccomendation for the steel 3 burner stove to keep on a table top.
Hi Niloufer - most faber ones come with a hobtop - can be installed if required OR can be kept on top of table if required. This one is good. amzn.to/3zWOb2O. If you want only table top stove - I have to still do a detailed research on that.
@@TheGrapevineIndia thanks Saumya for your response.
i have an issue- i wd prefer not to have auto ignitition for the gas.
your views on the availability of a strong steel table top stove.
Hi, thank you for the informative video, what is your opinion on prestige vogue phtv04 four burner hobtop?
Hi Somanna, while the model you ask about is good - at that pricepoint, I would recommend this amzn.to/3rJiK9m which also has a Flame Failure Detection.
@@TheGrapevineIndia Thanks a lot for taking the time to reply. Your videos are well researched and very informative. Most impressive part is that you reply to all queries put forward. Plz continue the good work and wish you all the best.
I think I will go for Bosch 4 burners with steel , with the side burners instead of black glass . What are your thoughts , thanks
Hi Minal, don’t be. Bosch is a good brand. Side burners are good, esp if you have kids.
Hi, between the KAFF CRH 604 and Faber HT604 which one would you suggest for more space between the burners and cooking in considerably smaller quantites? And are the tornado burners better than the brass ones?
Hi, efficiency of tornado and brass is equivalent. For small quantities, I would recommend this amzn.to/2WxSfZ2
@@TheGrapevineIndia Thank you so much
Thank you for this wonderful video. I am looking to purchase hob for my new kitchen. Wanted to have your opinion on Faber Nexus 60 cm hob and elica flex t dfs 4b 70 tx. Your opinion will be of great help.
I actually have to finalise this as soon as possible so an early response will be of great help. Thank you so much Saumya
Hi Ayushi Goel! You can consider this one amzn.to/37bT243. They have a similar one for 4 burner too.
Very nice explanation and review. Your explanations are always clear and crisp. Your reviews always deserve 5 stars 🌟. Keep up the good work. About 4 burners..let me share my experience. I do not own a hob but a 4 burner tempered glass stove from the brand Sunflame. 2 big and 2 small brass burners. 60 cms in width and square shaped. No complaints in quality and the brand. But cooking time increased. Why? Because even though it had big burners the intensity of the flame is intentionally reduced to have less or no effect on the glass and the silicon adhesive used. Sounds weird but true. Industrial grade silicon adhesive is used to stick these tempered glass to the stove metal. As I have used a non glass stove before I had very precisely noticed the difference. So glass based stoves and hobs look modern and fairly easy to clean but definitely will increase your time in kitchen. My choice is still the non glass based 4 burner stove/hobs. Sure they may not look ultra modern but definitely will reduce the cooking time than the glass based stove/hobs.
Hi Dinesh, great point! But can you believe - I've been trying to research on stainless steel hobs, there are so few in the market. They are slowly disappearing. Still available as stoves / cooktops, but so few for hobs. Maybe a demand / supply issue.
@@TheGrapevineIndia Yes..Steel hobs almost disappeared. Maybe you will find one or two models. 99% of the hobs are now glass based only. But for stoves, cooktops you will find plenty of them. You know even I saw some good practical designs in some unknown local brands of stoves. Creativity !!
But in my experience stoves cooktops are a lot more easier to clean and maintain than hobs. They may not look super modern but they are very practical to use and clean. And even maintenance is super cheap. The rubber pad/stand of the stove/cooktop cost around 12 Rupees each. Spring pin of the knob costs 25 Rupees. Fire retardant hose pipe costs 280 Rupees. Safety rubber gasket at the regulator costs 15 Rupees. Now compare the spares costs with a known branded Hob? You got the answer.
@@TheGrapevineIndia Another important point is the durability. How many sales persons told you that a Hob will last more than 10 years? The answer is none. Atleast in my experience. I searched almost 3 to 4 brands that I know of for a hob which fits my needs. But I found none. Of course this is in 2016. I then bought the existing stove I am using.
My Grandmother bought her first stove in 1979 and used it till 2001. It is porcelain coated with metal under base which no other brand made them later. That is the durability life of stoves. Take whatever model and whatever brand they are, spares are still available.
True 😊
Dear samuya. Can you help me to decide Bosch stainless steel 4 burners or Kaff 60 SS I AM CONFUSED
Hi Minal, both are good models. Uou won’t go wrong with either. But check the burner of bosch once - it may be italian burnets
Thanks for sharing the reviews. its really helpful. Can you please also share your inputs for Kaff HBR 604A. Thank you!
Hi Amardeep, I'm using the 3 burner variant of the same. It's good.
@@TheGrapevineIndia I guess you mentioned in the video of using 3 burner variant of CRH 604 (tornado style burners). Have you also used HBR version too in past? Thanks!
Could you please share your experience with the service of Elica and Faber after sales service
Hi - good so far. No issues so far.
Hi, my GLEN cooktop burner stand is very unstable, as in it causes my utensils to slip and slide. Is there any way to fix this?
That’s weird. Customer care should be able to help. Else try adjusting it by keeping some temporary support for the cooktop legs where it is causing instability (non burnable items only)
@@TheGrapevineIndia Yes, I have ordered some additional supports. Let's see how it goes.
oh wow saumya u did it i asked u in one of ur previous video thank u so much for this
Hi Swati! Thanks for asking! I hope this was useful! Will come up with 3 and 5 burners soon. Which one are you looking for?
@@TheGrapevineIndia im looking for 4 burner thinking to go with bosch
Hi Swati! Bosch is quite good, has flame detection and looks really good but Italian burner -The one I linked. You may want to check if there are other brass ones - I could not find them online though.
Hi Saumya! Do you have an opinion on the 4 burner Hafele Zeta 480?
Hi Shreya! Looks good - good mix of 2 large, 1 medium and 1 small burner with FFD support too.
@@TheGrapevineIndia Thank You, Saumya
I used to have a 4 burner initially, an Italian burner. I realized that I couldnt manage 4 burners, hence changed to 3 burner😅.
Also I was not happy with the burner size-2 medium, 1 big and 1 small.
Plus cooking in Italian burner was a real challenge to me, I started hating cooking coz it took a lot of my time in kitchen alone. Now using a 3 burner Bosch tempered glass model with brass burner.Burner size -2 big and 1 small. It works well for me🙂
Hi @MsRifna! I did the same!! I moved from a 4 burner Italian burner to a 3 burner Brass tornado burner. Faster cooking and just enough multi tasking for me 😅
@@dksipun I bought it from a local authorized dealer of Bosch. Here is the model number - Bosch PBD7331MS.
@@TheGrapevineIndia Hey, which one are u using now? I'm looking for a 3/4 burner hob with a jumbo or a Big size burner. I prefer high flame for fast cooking. Plz suggest. Im really confused.
Mam it was nice seeing your veido. I'm planning for my new house in kitchen Faber Hob Nexus Ind HT603 CRS BR CI AI. ( 3 BURNER)
Can I go for Faber Chimmney 60cm , Hood orient or Everrest , filterless, function 6 way suction. Pls advice for which I should go.

Hi can you please tell me how is gilma hob 4 burner ebony model .
Hi Shweta, if you are referring to this one amzn.to/3gqblXO, it's a good model to go with. Seems like a new one after I made the comparison.
Thanks for the video, its very informative. I am convinced with Kaff, but wanted to know about their service... Because if I buy Kaff hob, I am thinking to buy Kaff Chimney
Hi priyanka shet! I recommend this for hob amzn.to/3jaLWlL but this for Chimney amzn.to/3GERwbq.
Hi soumya, when you changed your hob from Faber to kaff, were they of the same size? What I mean to say is, when we cut the countertop, would it accomodate another hob in future? Great suggestions, thank you!
Hi Divya, thank you :) My kitchen was brand new (remodelled) so I did not have this specific issue. But the same sized hobs in general will have almost the same cutting dimensions for the countertop (give or take 3-5mm). For example I looked at a Faber & Kaff one, there is a 5mm difference only. Faber 555x475mm Kaff 550×480mm. (Faber amzn.to/3CTxl81 Kaff amzn.to/3Jpjzwk)
@@TheGrapevineIndia thanks for your response, it helps!
Hi What's your opinion on buying hindware 3b gloriya plus??? How the lifetime will be????
Hi Rahman, I guess you are referring to this one amzn.to/31BgVTt. While this one product is good, Hindware in general does not have good reviews on serviceability. And some products have had leakages.
Can you mention, brands that specifically use SABAF burners?
Hi, I have not evaluated that specifically. Generally the Italian burners are SABAF, but I have seen some others also.
@@TheGrapevineIndia. I did the same as you. I used italian low flame hob before. Now switched to Kaff HBR604, but the flame cannot be reduced beyond a level. For Eg Under side of omelette browns before even I get there. Will thicker bottom utensils help solve this issue? Are there any models that have a medium flame pattern?
Does black hob look good on a black counter top or do we have any other color options in them?
Hi sivakumaran arumuganainar! Black hob and countertop look good, but for some reason is not a popular combination. You can see an example here www.houseandgarden.co.uk/gallery/how-to-choose-the-right-colour-for-your-kitchen. I've normally seen steel on black countertops. Those are the two options you can consider.
@@TheGrapevineIndia yes, I thought of steel tops too but we don’t have that many options and the budget ones doesn’t look as good as the glass ones in appearance. It looks more old school.
Nice review. Is there any white top hob that you would recommend ?
hi Rajaranjan - this model amzn.to/3ibO7X8 is one of the few I recommend.
saumya-one of the few professionals in your field.
keep it up.
May i request your view and advice for a very pertinent but perhaps least observed fact regarding the cooktops and hobs .This is, that most hobs etc are directly connected with wire to electric supply for their auto ignition, and this, unquestionably keeps the static current always present in the body of the appliance .Then, how can these appliances be safe enough to use especially in sumptuously wet and flame rich ambience of the kitchen??
Hi Sanjeev, they will have the regular insulation required for plugs and cables. The power plug and cable ideally should not be in near quarters of the flame.
In Bangalore which brand have a fairly good service history? In most reviews i see lot of negative about the service for kitchen hobs
My experience is - service for majority of small to medium appliances is just ordinary. Personally have used both Faber and Kaff and both are good in Bangalore
hi Saumya - Very informative video, you are doing a great job. I am trying to help my Dad/Mom fit a new kitchen but I am not in India so dont have the opportunity to do a market research. Was scoruing the net/youtube for something that guide and stumbled on your video. Very nice, very useful. Keen to hear what you say about 5 burner hobs, and a matching chimney. Also, you referred to some reviews in your video, where can I find these? I am keen to see if you recommend some brands higher than other, on after sales (again, given my situation, I want my parents to have the least trouble after)
Hi Gaurav, thank you! Sorry about delay in response. After sales always depends on your area and if the brand has a good network. Assuming you live in metros, it will in general be good - from a hob brand for 5 burners, I'd recommend Faber / Bosch. Faber may be more cost effective than Bosch, quality would be similar. You will need to get a 90 cm hob for 5 burner for it to be convenient and hence a 90 cm chimney as well. Here is an option for Faber - Hob: amzn.to/3BgTpZv Chimney: amzn.to/3ouZkEN
Could you please do suggested steel hobs
Hi! I have to do some research on that. There are fewer options on steel hobs. How many burners are you looking for?
Dear ma’am … I have recently moved to a new house and have purchased the Hafele 4 burner built in hob. I’m little scared to use the this stove … because each time I have to be so careful and avoid spillage 😅. Also I would like to bring to your notice one important point : Since the Hafele stove has flame failure detection …. When you turn on the knob… you have to hold it in that position for 5-10 seconds… only then the flame will continue to burn. If you release the knob sooner … The flame goes off. This is quite irritating and time consuming.

Madam give the link for 3burner gas stove
Hi Fincy - I've recommended this in the past amzn.to/3lVYhwy. You can also consider prestige. Let me know if you prefer a square model.
Hello Sowmya, I subscribed your channel last year during the lockdwn, when I wanted to purchase a dishwasher, your videos really helped.. thanks a ton!
Now i want to buy a stainless steel hib, can your suggest some good ones? 4 burner hobs, stainless steel.. thanks so much
All your videos are very informative!
Hi Amrita, thank you ☺️ for some reason most stainless steel hobs are italian burners. In general, we Indians prefer brass burners as it is faster cooking. If you are ok with Italian burners, this is an option- amzn.to/3u7LRql. I will research this a bit more and come up with a video
@@TheGrapevineIndia im looking for counter top, stainless steel..not getting many designs..
@@TheGrapevineIndia just found one with a different design , hindware athena series.. it says can be used as a counter top as well as built in.. have u any idea if the brands cooktops?
You could have chosen one stain less steel or Aluminium Alloy top (they are actually superior to glass top as far as safety is considered) for comparison. Design of any manufacturer still using 230 V mains supply for generation of spark is a blunder as "good" as using 10 T JCB /buldozer for a hair cut), wheras it needs only a 1.5 V cell to generate spark and also achieve highest safety. Italian brass burners come in high heat ranges also. Considering the cost and safety aspects, manual ignition with spark gun is superior to auto ignition. More safety or more convenience is a customer choice- this is true with "auto ignition" and "glass top" .You could gave mentioned about hybrid (though the fuel is the same, marketing gimmic use that term for "free standing table top" and installable on specific slot"
Hi Devanand, thanks for your feedback - I will be making a separate video on the stainless steel hobs. I did cover the hybrid ones, some of the faber models are hybrid.
Can you also include gas stove with ceramic burners
Hi Sudharsan Thiru! Sure will plan for it.
Saumya, please make one on stainless steel hobs too.
Hi! Ok will plan for it 😊
Hii do u have review of whirlpool hob
HI! I don't recommend Whirlpool as there have been some complaints on leakage. You can consider this amzn.to/2WxSfZ2 or amzn.to/3jaLWlL for 4 burner.
What about after service of Bosch hob
Hi Minal - in general ok. But service always depends on your area - so better to check with the service center once before you order.
How reliable is, the glass. Will it break in the long run
Not with proper usage.

Hi Saumya,
Please suggest me a robot vacuum within the range 25k
My needs are:-
1. My whole attention is towards the mopping facility. I need a good mop in my robot vac which does the job quite decent.
2. Good customer care and after-sales services.
3. Spare parts availability in online .
4. And a good service centre in India.
5. And a vaccum which takes out human hair and fine dust.
6. After sales services in West Bengal in Kolkata.
As you said that that you do not have to face any kind of problem after buying ( a life 5 vs model with mopping). And it is working well after one year. And does the job quite decent.
Please suggest me that type of product for 500 sqft house for cement floor.
