Appreciate your videos youngster! It's good to see younger people replacing those old farts out there on the road. Keep trucking and be safe.
Thanks, Man, you are Awesome! God bless you and protect on the OTR. Thanks again!

Great info bro. That’s really good money being a new driver. Keep it up man! Stay safe out there
Not bad for a first year trucker . Keep grinding man .
Great job, Trucker your family must be very proud of you 👍
That is damn good for just starting. Some people expect the big dollars right off the bat. But don't realize you gotta start from the bottom n work your way up. Thanks for the video.

That’s good money!!! Congrats. I’m in week 1 at roadmaster.. I may move to texas for better accounts with Werner.
Do they give you classes the first week and if so are the classes good enough to help pass your permit test? With no prior experience
Nice video very direct and simple. I just received my cdl and I'm looking for employment. New subbie
Thanks!!! Would recommend Werner for sure!
Good job man i spent from 2010 to 2015 with werner not a bad gig at all i made a killing on the 3m account
Thanks for honest feedback. I'm suppose to start Roadmasters in June and declined to accept any job offers with them. I plan on purchasing my own truck and learning everything
Just got my CDL at roadmaster.
@@cosmicentity7093 can you tell me more about how they help you get your permit and what company did you go with?
@@kiddbluu6303 well now you have to go to a creditable trucking school to even start the permit process. Find a company like knight, schinder, Werner, swift, and CR england. A lot of those companies pay for you to go to school. Of course you have to pay them back but you’ll make that money over many times.
@@cosmicentity7093 did you attend roadmaster? If so how many attempts do they give you to pass permit test I heard they give you classes but do they actually teach you or just throw you out there and give you practive test

I start orientation for Werner In Atlanta this upcoming Monday I’m coming from a hot warehouse job bringing home 600 a week so seeing these numbers blow my mind I hope I can be as fortunate as you as far as pay goes!

I’ve been a diesel truck and trailer mechanic for 11 years busting my ass and I’ve never seen a check over $900. After I’ve seen one of our company’s driver take home after a week that’s when I decided to get my CDL !
Lol motivation
I start my orientation for Werner on Thursday, dedicated account in the northeast, supposedly should avg around 1.7k a week. 🤷🏿 appreciate the transparency, and continued success
@Ernest why not?
@Ernest yea, why not?
@Ernest what’s the pay look like?
@Ernest appreciate the reply!
@Ernest How many months of experience is needed to get a solid local job? I’m starting next month but my goal is local
Hey man not sure if i missed it in your video but was this regional or OTR
Anyway i just had to say i just my CDL this past week fresh out of school
My school is sponsored with Werner
So the door is opened for me to walk thru with them
Not to go crazy to in depth of my situation
But i have two kids
So regional is the way to go for me and i wanna do this for one year until i can go local with experience
This video is huge motivation for me
Coming from barely making 600 a week after taxes as a warehouse prisoner lol luckily amazon paid for my CDL with no strings i can wait to start truckin man 🎉
How did you get Amazon to pay for your trucking?
@@Shamaness888They have a thing called Career Choice Program. I took advantage of it too but if I had known bout it sooner I wouldn’t have stayed at amazon for a year. But last time I checked you had to be an employee for 90 days to be eligible and no write ups etc.
Im a new student at roadmaster for werner. im going to be team driving. 17k to me seems amazing for 3 months.
I’m listening with noise truck. I would recommend using a DJi Mic 2 or Osmo Pocket 3 Creator Combo ..
Wow. I can’t wait !!!
Werner is a damn fine company to work for. They have really good accounts. Only negative I have to say is regarding truck services. I had a bad experience but I don't blame the whole company just because certain people have piss poor work ethic.
Oh yesss I’m currently in a tow truck as I’m typing this because I couldn’t get my truck serviced and it finally gave out 😂

damn so some of ur checks were only half weeks? im worried about starting trucking cuz im tryna pull atleast 60/70 hours and trying to save up atleast 70k in the first a year look like I could pull close to 100k with numbers like yours and switching 3 months and get endorsements about 6 months in, im tryna drive everyday and live in my truck im going to college and doing alot of enterpreunuer stuff online and need something to supplement
I have a question I just got hired to Werner for Dallar general account so how soon can I change account to OTR none touch freight?
How was your trainer? I'm a polisher been at it for 21 yrs but I'm thinking of hopping out. I'm 43 and no kinda retirement for self employed polishers. My dad drove 40 yrs. I'm fairly fimilar with the trucking industry. I can do everything but dock backing..... where you pretty much jackknife the trailer backing into a hole.... that kinda freaks me out bc can't see the rear of the trailer.... i think i could get through it easily.... i am curious how long did you actually have another cat barking at you before they finally let you take off on your own? And is it at your own progress? Like if i got it down in 3 weeks would they let me go?
Thanks for your time and the video!! Stay safe!!
not bad...great job...
Good stuff.
What account they got u running?
Thinking about paying of pocket to get a CDL at local school or go with the road master/Werner option. I want the option to have home daily. Really undecided because I was looking at other trucking companies.
Other companies require you to have a temp CDL before they take you on. If your going through roadmaster I believe taking on a loan is costly.. 6k at minimum and 12k at highest if u graduate within the 1 month time frame.. it can go beyond that. If u don't finish.. be aware nobody will take you as far as schools go if u have an existing loan with roadmaster. You'll have to pay it off first entirely
I wanted to ask you how many miles are you driving for those good checks?
what’s up bro im looking to get into the trucking industry and i’ve been doing sum research on which company to start off with and i have a couple of questions for u
1) does werner provide training?
2) what accounts do they offer and what exactly do they mean?
3) what type of transmissions do they use?
4) what type of drug tests do they do?
5) what tips do u have for driving in certain weather conditions? (snow, rain, winds)
1) yes they do they have their school Roadmaster
2) they have a lot of different accounts it’s just hauling different freight and also depends on how often u want to be home
3) they are all auto transmission
4) drug test they do pee and hair
5) most important and always gotta remember if you don’t feel safe to drive pull over!!! 🤙🏽💯

@@210Truckiinn hi I have a question for you, I'm 19 year old can I become truck driver I heard about the new rules that say instead of +21 year old now +18 years old can become truck driver, so can I become truck driver in 19 years old?
2: I don't speak English very well I understand what people saying to me and I can respond to them but I'm not that good, the writing is difficult for me, so my question is can I become truck driver working with a company even though my English is not that good.
3: Is the weekly salary very bad as a beginner?
4: I heard they want you to stay with them for a year if they teach you, can you leave and break the deal if you don't like working with them? Can you pay the cost they paid for your education and leave?
5: Is there a company you recommend for me I live in Ohio Columbus?
6: Regarding the bathroom, what do you do if you need a bathroom to relieve the need, if you have been walking on the road for days, what do you do, are you sitting on a road? 😅 Please answer and for my last question If I decide to take leave, can I leave for weeks or a whole month?
Congratulations on getting your license and working, I have a bunch of questions man I’m about to start going to Roadmaster at the end of July (have to get clean sadly) but if you don’t mind answering my questions it would help out
1) did you get a loan for Roadmaster and if you did is that deducted from your paycheck? I personally i want to save up enough to pay for atleast have my tuition
2) The ammount you’ve been able to make is a blessing, I see a lot of people complain about the pay for most companies, do they get you a good ammount of miles to where your able to make good money, for example atleast $1,000 a week?
3) how long and what did you have to do in order to switch your account because it seems like that also helped you with making more money
I just started roadmoasters this Monday
1) yes Werner is paying for it every month around the middle of the month they do a payment of 225 I believe you can see it on 1 check out of the month
2) it’s all about how much you want to run and sometimes your managers might start slacking and taking long to get you loads but you can’t wait for them you have to stay on their ass about it someone once told me your manager works for you, you don’t work for them. If you don’t get a load and don’t run it affects them so always stay on top of your loads
3) you can pretty much switch whenever you want you go on the Werner app and check what’s available in your area and you just request it they get back to you about it pretty quick
Hope this helped man good luck 👍🏼

Keep it up brother I’m a fellow Werner employee for about 2 years also went to Roadmaster and at one point I was a Leader too
Based on these amounts you're tax rate is only 12.5%. At the end of the year you'll be in the 22.5% range or have huge tax bills. Talk with HR immediately. I was caught in this trap too and owed near $10,000! BEWARE
Bro just a question how much cpm you getting paid? And where you located?
Dang my brother what account was you on at Werner??? Otr??? That’s awesome
I started in TCU one way then I moved to Goodman account out of Houston
One question, how many hours do you drive daily or miles to get paid like that?
One question have you been mostly otr or have you been assigned DY or DT accts ? Do you have a choice at Wernerner ? Thks man! Stay safe out there.
Yea man you get to pick what account you wanna be in I’ve just been otr
Thanks for the video man 👍 How long did it take you to get used to the long driving hours per day? That’s one thing that concerns me when I get into Trucking.
Honestly not to long man but just remember no load is more important then your life you feel tired just pull over and take a nap 🤙🏽💯
im in training for stevens i got a week left and just for another pov i started off increasing my breaks. Tried going 3 hours without stopping, 4 hours and so on. Now i can pretty much drive my entire 8 hours without stopping unless i gotta pee. Find a few podcasts and playlists and switch it up every few hours and you’ll be able to do 350 miles without even thinking about it then take your break around 7 hours and finish the last two or three hours strong

Question for you bro, you said you took off a week n stuff, ik you don’t get paid for that, but how is Werner when it comes to requesting time off ? Did you have to have a legit reason or would you be able to take days off just by requesting ?

Yea trucking you are basically your own boss I would say, I just tell them I want the days off and they give them to me
So you drive solo? I’m asking because I’m thinking about going with Werner. It’s been on my mind for awhile
Yup solo driver 👍🏼
Does it depend on what account you are with?
I started at werner back in 2014
With my trainer I swear I never saw over $500
Once I went solo I never saw anything above $800 😂
Oh how times have changed 😂
Not bad $$$ for a beginner. Eventually you will make more.
I’ve spent the last 5 years driving a 24ft beverage truck but no CDL cause it’s under 26k pounds. A lot of these checks are almost over or are over $1,000 what I currently make in one week. Do you contact Werner first for them to get you into roadmaster?!
Nope u go to Roadmaster first 👍🏼
@@210Truckiinn cool. Thanks man!
Ain’t bad at all my buddy worked for Pam last year they paid him 32 cpm and gave him no time off OTR lol

I put in for Werner but I think I’ll go farther with off this video as a rookie driver..
Your honest opinion how is working for werner all together? I plan on going to roadmasters school this winter and go to werner
It’s good! As a starting company I definitely recommend it
So a few questions, i start roadmaster on march 4th and already got pre-approved with werner, do you get to take the truck home with you? Thinking of going otr, how's the home time and how often is it, how long is orientation, what accounts do you recommend?
Yes you get to take the truck home, home time for otr is usually 2 weeks out then like 3 days home orientation was about a week I believe and if I were to recommend an otr account it would be TCU at the time I was there they were makings the most money
Appreciate it man! I'm currently researching the different accounts what my roadmaster contact has to offer, I've heard that anything with dollar is to be avoided with rookie experience from what I've heard. Since bringing the truck home might currently present an issue with hoa and city ordinance, would team driving be better for my current living situation since i live in the NE side of 210? I got an open book and open hours when it comes to driving at night on who will be my match and when it comes to sharing a truck and what not lol
Question do they pay for every mile you do?Also can you take the truck home and I wonder if they have a Manual truck?
Otr takes trucks home, all auto trucks
i make 6k in 3 months i need my cdl asap
Are you paying for your own fuel ? Or Werner , I heard there’s 2 types of pays you can choose which one did you pick ?
I’m a company driver the company pays for everything
Do you got paid when u was in training? Thinking about getting my cdl
Yes in the beginning of the video where I put up my pay stubs the first 3or4 or for my training and orientation

Yo bro how long does roadmaster school take to complete ? I’m also from sa
Road master is 4 week to 5weeks and it’s like 8k which is too much tbh

Yes I usually get 2,500-3,100 sometimes even more
Damn working for knight do suck 😏
Just wrapping up CDL school, and I'm hell bent on making 90k+ in the next year. I figure that to be approx. 600 miles a day. Can Werner give me the miles to make that happen? Or does that depend on the account?
those are 10 hour days not including your on duty, 30 minute post trip and your 30 minute break, you’ll run out if hours. plus there will be days where you’re not moving or you only move 5 or 6 hours
It does depend on account but it’s possible that’s what I’m averaging per day about 600-650 🤙🏽
Not gonna be running 10 hrs everyday. If you get a liveload or live unload, that could be 3 hrs each there. Getting in and out of locations where you're dropping and picking up. Dealing with security guards, long lines and shipping/receiving depts.

If that what they pay you, What account would pay that much per mile. You need to explain that.
