    I want to sing your praises for sharing this simple way to make baby booties. I watched this video when it first hit you tube and it has totally changed the way I make socks. Now every newborn in my world gets a pair of these socks. (And your baby hood pattern because you gotta keep both sides warm) (: Thank you for your generosity and love of teaching. All the best from Colorado!

    When you say that we're going to use the flat, it looks as if you start it out using the U-Wrap for the first row, then start using the flat stitch. Am I just seeing things?

  • @ritaschiferl3615
    @ritaschiferl3615 4 года назад

    Are you using Bulky yarn on this 5/8" loom? If I use worsted weight on this loom, the bootie is very tiny. If using worsted weight, I suggest usibg the 16 peg 5/8 loom.

    ok, question. I've watched the video twice now. As I am expecting a baby girl grandbaby soon, I love the idea of a little ruffle (the purl stitch) so after we do the cuff, then do the single row of purls? Then continue with the 4 rows (i think) of the ankle?

      Hi Juanita my friend - you are correct - after the cuff - one row of purl - then continue the pattern.

      I don’t know if you figured this out yet , I know it’s been 2 years . I had holes in the ankles also . I figured out that I was taking the stitch from the peg instead of the stitch behind the peg and looping it on the peg next to it . It helped and no holes when I figured what I was doing wrong

    YAYYYYY ! ! LOL I just made a pair of these cute little booties/socks. I have to work on making the heel better. I left a comment on your site and tried to post a pic of them. I guess I didn't do it right.
    LOL just tried it here and it showed up way too big. Tried to adjust size, that didn't work. Oh well.
    Thanks for your great videos
    Take care

    I was wondering if you could do the same pattern, but skip the heel section and make baby mittens?
