@@richardbrooks6519 It's a new generational era. They only know what they've grown up with. They think LeBron is better because he's the best right now. I was born in '83 and there's no one who has impacted the culture surrounding basketball as much as Jordan has. Granted, Bird and Magic turned the NBA from a small-time league that was not only filled with drugs and less popular than the NCAA, but their rivalry turned it into a mega phenomenon.
Jordan, however, took the NBA to all new heights in terms of popularity and he took Nike from being a small struggling shoe company to being the biggest shoe company on the planet, even bigger than Converse which endorsed Magic and Bird. Jordan also introduced the knee shorts to the NBA and everyone started using them, and I mean literally everyone. He changed the entire western world's perception of what shorts should be. I dare say there's no one who thinks of short athletic shorts when they think of shorts and that's all thanks to Jordan.

Nice reaction. MJ was just simply the most dominate basketball player to ever walk the face of the Earth. On the Olympic dream team he would play 36 holes of golf before the games. 10 time NBA scoring champ, 3 time steals leader, 6 rings, 6 MVP's. He won 3, then his father was murdered. He quit basketball to play baseball which is what his dad had always wanted. His baseball number was 45. Then he came back and just like that he won 3 more straight championships. No jogging, no plays off, virtually never missed game with injury even though they were all trying to injure him bc they couldn't guard him - jordan rules. Even Shaq admitted he was terrified of MJ. They all knew he could humiliate them any time he wanted.

People don't really realize the greatest of Jordan. At that time ,the NBA was so physical. And the big guys. Which was the centers which was mostly 7footers. And the power forwards. Were paid to play and keep people out of the paint, and to grab rebounds. And notice most of Jordan's inside play and dunks are on 7 footers. Showing his dominance. But now you have the centers, power forwards, and small forwards shooting jumpers. Which leaves the paint wide open. Jordan is truly the goat. Just my humble opinion. But it's still facts. Lol.

He made the impossible seem possible. He made me believe I could accomplish anything I wanted. No one like him.

Not too bad for a man who was cut as a Junior in High School. A man who was NOT the first overall pick in 1984. A man who scored an all time rookie record for points in a playoff game of 63 against the Celtics and lost the series. A man who was beat up for years by the Bad Boy Pistons. The first man to win DPOY, Scoring title, and MVP in the same season. Played every game except for major injuries(broken foot). I saw this man play his entire career with the Bulls, he is a legend in Chicago. Had but one all star on his team and that was Scottie Pippen. Oh and none of his finals series' went more than 6 games, and he is 6-0 with 6 Finals MVP's. This is why he is called the GOAT. Oh and coming out of college he had a 48 inch vertical, that was later measured in the pro's unofficially at 53 inches.

@El Ray Draco 45 was Mike's Baseball number before he got into basketball. When he retired and went to play for the Sox, he took back his old 45. When he came back to the Bulls in 1995 he was going to leave 23 retired and start a new chapter with 45. Mike wasnt in game shape when he came back and lost to the Magic. Nick Anderson talking shit after they won said "Mike, 45 aint 23!" Mike then switch back to 23 and won 3 straight championships.

Jordan was doing that when physical defense was played, and in the era of the shot blocking center. If Jordan played in this era, he would be even more awesome which is scary to think of. In fact, Jordan, Magic, Bird, Kareem, and all star players in that era would really dominate today.

I really enjoyed watching you react to this. Alter Bridge are so underrated. Blackbird should definitely be on your list, as should Tremonti sings Sinatra. And you have to check out the Billboard version of Myles singing Watch Over You.

This is the reason you wear his shoes even though you didn't know about him!!! His original number was 23 so when he retired, the bulls retired his number 23!!! When he came back, they had to make a special dispensation so that he could have his original number back, but this is Michael Jordan we are talking about so they did what he wanted!!! The G.O.A.T for life!!!

Although I didn't go to watch Jordan's games in person, I was privileged didn't miss a broadcast of every game of Michael Jordan' Chicago Bulls. This is a Jordan fan from Taiwan.
