I heard this for the first time today on the radio. It totally blew me away and made fall in love instantly.
Just saw the band on CBS and I love them. I'm 75 and he reminds me of Elvis and Roy Orbison !!! 2 of my favorite from my ten years !!
Roy Orbison and the Smiths. But they have managed to create their own style. This song is an earworm. I listened to other of their songs and they are also great. But I keep playing this one over and over. Once I get a bit tired I'll move on to the rest. Great band.

You're right. I'm 74 and still listening to indie music. Luckily I have a Chicago radio station that plays the new stuff. WXRT. I've never heard a Taylor Swift song ever. Rock music by definition is young people , new ideas.Love the old stuff but indie rock must always be going forward.
Just learned of this band about 2 weeks ago as they are getting played on our local radio station. Quite impressive.

The next huge Indie band. They don’t have a single bad song. Every song they do is its own masterpiece. I love the different decades of Styles they’re mixing in the songs. Hints of Rockabilly and really elaborate “Smiths” style arrangements with a bit of the Strokes and the Fratellis mixed in. Also a singer who is a unique combination of Roy Orbison and Elvis. I can’t wait to see what they do next!
He is more Morrissey than anyone else.

@mikedavis8008 lol did you try to start some retro band that went nowhere, then discovered these guys and saw that they were everything you hoped for yourself only way better which shattered your hopes and dreams, straight ether to your soul, weeping into the glow of your computer screen, your bruised ego in barely hanging on as it set in just how much better these guys are than you ever were or could be. Wounded and in a fit of despair, you couldn't help but lash out by spending all afternoon here weeping about how they are thieves and a terrible band. Adding "lol" to the end of all 20 of your comments was a nice touch, I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say I found the "lol" signoff very convincing.. you seem like you're having a blast and aren't remotely petty or salty about anything. haha! I heard it last year for the first time and had to play it 20 more times immediately!This guy is a natural shining ⭐ star- his voice is epically graceful, and the power when he belts looks effortless. One of my favorite lifelong hobbies has been to discover bands and artists long before they have huge followings. I am excited to say that these guys - along with one other band -are my new favorites and I look forward to seeing a live show at an intimate venue ASAP, because this band is destined for stadiums....if that's what they want of course 🌠(bc not all musicians do).

So glad the algorithm led me to this band. They're the real deal - a hybrid of atmospheric post punk and mid century rock n roll, top shelf songwriting chops from start to finish on every single song, endless hooks, dreamlike melodies, immersive songs unafraid to take risks, switch tempos, you name it. And all of it tied together by an incredibly dynamic and enigmatic frontman with an impeccable style and stage presence and a voice that really helps push these songs to perfection. I was immediately floored by his voice, shades of a modern day Roy Orbison, this voice is total perfection and live he has the mannerisms and stage presence of a true rock frontman, something that's been strangely absent from the genre for decades. Everything about this group seems dialed in just right. Apologies if I'm coming across as overhyping, I just can't get over how good these songs are! It's so rare that I discover a band who absolutely hits on all cylinders for me. Hope I can see this band live in a smaller intimate venue soon, before they blow up and are doing stadium tours alongside Interpol.

@mikedavis8008 I bet as soon as the vocalist went into the first verse on this song you realized you had a half chub that was quickly gaining momentum.... embarrassed and livid that your lil guy was swooning hard for this singer and his gorgeous voice (and head of hair), you were left with no choice but to exact revenge and bombard this comment section, leaving comment after comment venting spleen and dishing very cool insults like "poser" in a non-ironic way. It's clear you're a very authentic and unique person. You're not blind like the rest of the sheeple. No... you're a deep thinker, you see the world differently. I didn't even know people like you actually existed, I thought it was just in big Hollywood movies that such fearless trailblazers like you even existed. In a world of fakers and posers, you're the real deal. I can't even imagine the depths of your courage as you endure the agony and despair of existing alongside so many losers and nerds.
