You're right. I'm 74 and still listening to indie music. Luckily I have a Chicago radio station that plays the new stuff. WXRT. I've never heard a Taylor Swift song ever. Rock music by definition is young people , new ideas.Love the old stuff but indie rock must always be going forward.
@@davet1081AA Agreed. Appreciation seems to be with eyes (and tastes) wide closed. With that said, it's always been a successful gimmick. Here we go again!
Roy Orbison and the Smiths. But they have managed to create their own style. This song is an earworm. I listened to other of their songs and they are also great. But I keep playing this one over and over. Once I get a bit tired I'll move on to the rest. Great band.
The next huge Indie band. They don’t have a single bad song. Every song they do is its own masterpiece. I love the different decades of Styles they’re mixing in the songs. Hints of Rockabilly and really elaborate “Smiths” style arrangements with a bit of the Strokes and the Fratellis mixed in. Also a singer who is a unique combination of Roy Orbison and Elvis. I can’t wait to see what they do next!
@mikedavis8008 lol did you try to start some retro band that went nowhere, then discovered these guys and saw that they were everything you hoped for yourself only way better which shattered your hopes and dreams, straight ether to your soul, weeping into the glow of your computer screen, your bruised ego in barely hanging on as it set in just how much better these guys are than you ever were or could be. Wounded and in a fit of despair, you couldn't help but lash out by spending all afternoon here weeping about how they are thieves and a terrible band. Adding "lol" to the end of all 20 of your comments was a nice touch, I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say I found the "lol" signoff very convincing.. you seem like you're having a blast and aren't remotely petty or salty about anything. haha! Very cool, I bet this band is gonna be soooooo mad at your epic truth bombs ahahahaha man plus u called them posers lol bro u ENDED this band today with your comments. They cant EVER come back from that, it's game over for these lamer posers hahahaha!!!
@mikedavis8008 you left something like 20 tearful comments on this video today, each one ending with "lol" as though you're having a blast and not remotely upset. You also liked your own comments. Based on these factors, you seem like a very cool and self assured person who has done well in life and isn't remotely insecure, envious or petty. Inspiring. It's rare to see someone so confidently walk their own path. You're the real deal, it's clear as day. lol.
...this is the birth of a new standard in "queer love songs"...this is definitely one song many queer artists will be covering in the generations to come... 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
@mikedavis8008 I bet as soon as the vocalist went into the first verse on this song you realized you had a half chub that was quickly gaining momentum.... embarrassed and livid that your lil guy was swooning hard for this singer and his gorgeous voice (and head of hair), you were left with no choice but to exact revenge and bombard this comment section, leaving comment after comment venting spleen and dishing very cool insults like "poser" in a non-ironic way. It's clear you're a very authentic and unique person. You're not blind like the rest of the sheeple. No... you're a deep thinker, you see the world differently. I didn't even know people like you actually existed, I thought it was just in big Hollywood movies that such fearless trailblazers like you even existed. In a world of fakers and posers, you're the real deal. I can't even imagine the depths of your courage as you endure the agony and despair of existing alongside so many losers and nerds. Your fierce bravery to speak truth to power here in the comment section is proof of your individuality. On behalf of all us lame posers, I apologize that the singer for this band got you all salty and moist, but nevertheless there's no denying the obvious truth - you're mad at yourself, not this band.
So glad the algorithm led me to this band. They're the real deal - a hybrid of atmospheric post punk and mid century rock n roll, top shelf songwriting chops from start to finish on every single song, endless hooks, dreamlike melodies, immersive songs unafraid to take risks, switch tempos, you name it. And all of it tied together by an incredibly dynamic and enigmatic frontman with an impeccable style and stage presence and a voice that really helps push these songs to perfection. I was immediately floored by his voice, shades of a modern day Roy Orbison, this voice is total perfection and live he has the mannerisms and stage presence of a true rock frontman, something that's been strangely absent from the genre for decades. Everything about this group seems dialed in just right. Apologies if I'm coming across as overhyping, I just can't get over how good these songs are! It's so rare that I discover a band who absolutely hits on all cylinders for me. Hope I can see this band live in a smaller intimate venue soon, before they blow up and are doing stadium tours alongside Interpol.
I saw them opening for LoveJoy this last Wednesday and I can say for a Fact now one of my favorite bands! Love them and hopefully will be seeing them March 2 in Chicago again !!
@mikedavis8008 lmao you left over a dozen weepy comments on this video, and you liked every single one of your own comments. What a tool lol I'm guessing the singer for this band stole your gf, blew your mom's back out, or both. Thoughts & prayers for your recovery.
I’ve loved them since I saw them live October 2022… I can’t explain how much I adore their sound and style, such a breath of fresh air in today’s music scene!! Absolutely LOVE this song and I can’t wait to see the boys live again in December!! ❤️

These are the next big band. Brilliant album released today that I can’t stop listening to. Please tour the UK after your American dates. Singer is some mix of Morrissey, Elvis, Robert Smith, Brandon Flowers and one of the Isley Brothers rolled into one.
This song reminds me of the scene from Animal House, where the guy is in the frat house, sitting on the stairs, playing an acoustic guitar and singing “I gave my love a cherry that had no stone…”
Great song, The singer Jack is a great impressionist. Its remarkable that when he mimics a voice, he also mimics that artists stance and mannerisms. In classic tribute act style. I like the band but they will need to take it to new heights on the next lp..otherwise they will forever be placed in the wannabe section , i say that in a helpful way
this is so unoriginal i'm kind of offended. the whole 50's revival sound has been done to death, and the morrissey impersonator doesn't really add anything.
If Elvis and Morrissey had a baby, it would be this kid. Absolutely outstanding tuneage.

Amazing voice. Amazing song. Great band. Already in my playlist on Spotify.
Huge support from a Frenchman living in Italy.
They should open for Morrissey on his tour. Perfect Match
This band needs to play the Roadhouse on Twin Peaks
The Saturday morning show on CBS brought me here and ill never leave this Band with hints of Smiths/elvis/chris Issac influences .

Great Sound.
I heard this for the first time today on the radio. It totally blew me away and made fall in love instantly.
Just learned of this band about 2 weeks ago as they are getting played on our local radio station. Quite impressive.
They were amazing when I saw them open for the Last Dinner Party! I'm so happy I had a chance to see something so unique. Beautiful music
