I think the grab that the Siluria Crucible Knights do is their coolest attack. But you’re in luck, the DLC trailer showed the Crucible Wings as a skill so here’s hoping that it’s an Incantation as well (and let’s hope the crucible claw grab makes it in, too.)
@@Liam-pi9vi Reviving this comment lol. Yeah the new wings look exciting, however they clearly arent the same as the attack the crucible knights do. It looks much more like a big telegraphed leap rather than the swoop if that makes sense.
Lore-wise it would make sense for a Crucible Knight to be one of the Tarnished held in cold storage to become Elden Lord. They were Godfrey's crew when he became Tarnished himself after wrecking the Fire Giants at Marika's behest...
I would recommend sacrificing either the sacred scorpion charm or the flock's canvas talisman for the great jars arsenal. That way you can cut down on the endurance investment and put those points into vigor or your damage stats, which would help make up for losing one of the aforementioned talismans.
This is such a great idea to do a series on. Playing different “roles” like a crucible knight in this game is so fun. U should make more vids like this with other roles
I really like that the knights and Godfrey share some moves and combos, moderately implying Godfrey trained them and/or with them himself. Some of Godfrey's moves are also stronger versions.
Me too! I was really disappointed to find out that these abilities were not incantations. You can get "close" to the stomp with other weapons and Ashes of War, but it would be nice to have it in the form of an incantation. And those wings...wow, I would kill for that ability, even if they had to tweak it a bit so that it is not completely OP. A short backstep and a long charge forward while "hovering" slightly above the ground would be acceptable. Then again, the Ash of War from the Dragon King's Cragblade exists, so crazy flying moves are already an established part of the game! Go nuts, From Software!

For a substitute for the "Angel Dive" as my friends have come to call it, the Incantation "Scarlet Aeonia" from the Reverberance of the Rot Goddess is a cool thematic choice that can also inflict Scarlet Rot on enemies for longer fights.
My first playthrough build is Str/Faith and I really enjoyed playing as a Crucible Tree Knight and as a Blasphemous Crucible Axe Knight (Ordovis + Blasphemous blade). @@AscendantStoic there's still nothing pointing to him being anything "god" like. I love watching your guys videos. Started w mh and loved it. I tried a crucible knight build but didn't know about the alt set or the spear! Thanks you guys!
Just to correct the lore, the Crucible was the the chaotic amalgamation of life BEFORE the Erdtree. The great tree you see in Deeproot Depths was the symbol of the Lands Between. After the Erdtree was introduced by the Outer God of order and it's Elden Beast, those that worshipped the Crucible e.i. the Crucible Knights, the Misbegotten, etc. We're hunted down and either killed or enslaved. This makes any crucible knights you fight unwilling servants of the Erdtree and it's Elden Lord's. The one you fight in the Evergaol was likely one who rose up and tried to rally it's kin, and was imprisoned for it. They are very much enemies of Godfrey and his ilk. This also explains why crucible knights Ordovis, who was a very skilled knight, and one of two of the most honored of his kin, is serving Volcano manor, an avowed enemy of the Erdtree. And knight Siluria is seen standing vigil over the remains of what used to be the Great Tree before the Erdtree.
I think some aspects of the crucible may be a little involved, I haven’t fully dived into that bit. But for the knights, I think there are some slight mistakes here. Ordovis is not the one in volcano manor, he is in the azuria hero grave protecting the body of one of his men. As far as their relations with the lords and gods, they served directly under Godfrey so I do not think they thought of the golden order as their enemy(at least in general). When Godfrey left they all were disbanded because their lord was gone, so you see them take up different positions aligning with their own interests, I.e. serving Godfrey’s son, Godrick, being tanith’s personal bodyguard, remaining in the capital to protect the erdtree, joining a misbegotten to control red mane castle
Quite fittingly you could use the sword and shield talismans that raise your attack and defence at max hp , since they actually depict and reference the crucible weapons
I was excited the first time I got my hands on the crucible knight armor. They are absolute badasses that almost never stagger no matter how hard you hit them. Which was why I was very sad that my character was no where near as sturdy while wearing it, despite having built for it. 😞 closest I could come required the bull goat talisman, dragon crest greatshield talisman and the greatshield talisman.
Because for player side the poise comes from the greatsword weapon art and the incantations, mostly the charge up for horns and the follow-up with charged tail There's a reason why the crucible knights are on par with demigods, and it's that they're literally buit different
@@PoisonJarl71501 I took that character through to ng2. Its a blast, strength weapons and a greatsheild make going through levels a breeze and faith offers lots of utility in boss fights and even ranged with frenzy burst
The biggest problem for PVE that Holy damage is averagely worst type of damage. Most part of bosses excluding deadmans has minimum 20% resist for holy damage.
All bosses have some degree of resistance to all the element damage, the real problem is that towards the end fights some of them have quite high resistance to holy specifically (because they are gods and stuff) so that is a bummer, thankfully faith builds still can find other types of damage to circumvent it but NGL it sucks that the Crucible weapons have that going against them because they are cool weapons

It's acually pretty good. The long range charged spear to poke enemies from afar does alot of damage and up close the sword really do work. The only issue is that the weapons weigh alot so you will get heavy rolls if you use the entire armor aswell if you don't have a TON in Endurance. So my tip is to use the Great jars arsenal instead of another talisman.

Imo 50 endurance is a good spot to be for any build since 50 is the soft cap on endurance (anything past here gives diminishing returns), and endurance is valuable for everyone whether it be more dodges/successive attacks for melee builds or the ability to cast more back to back with spells like stone of Gurranq for caster builds. Also gives you enough equip load to use big weapons like this or drop to some light armor to get the light roll which is actually so strong with the extra i-frames - seriously give the light roll a try if you haven't, you can use talismans to beef up your defenses a little to make up for it if you do get hit.
You don't need fifty endurance, nobody needs 50 endurance. It's one of the least important softcaps to hit, especially since there are so many ways around low endurance to wear the armor you want and use the weapons you want to use.
ignore the PvP players, they tend to forget PvE players exist that don't care about how high there character level goes. but anyway good to know that's probably a good spot to focus towards to hopefully meet my equip load needs. The few characters I have now just get by with bare minimum bcos they have consistent gear, but the current new one and future planned out ones are probably going to have a range of weapons equiped or swapped to that I'm not going to want to fuck around mid fight swapping off talismans and gear to medium roll at least, but obviously i haven't figured out a good amount to get to for any build to avoid this. so thanks for the info.

With this build you actually shouldn't lean into faith much more than 30, STR overall nets a better return. You net about 50 more damage from each weapon and your incant scaling from the Clawmark seal is the same. A better stat allocation for this build would be 55Vig/ 20Mind/ 40End/ 55STR/ 13Dex/ 9Int/ 30Faith/ 7Arc with the Vagabond starting class.
@@valvesart3865 for a lvl200 build If suggest, 60Vig/ 30mind/ 52End/ 58STR/ 13Dex/ 9int/ 50Faith/ 7Arc with the Flock's Canvas, Sacred Scorpion, Dragoncrest Greatshield and Shard of Alexander talismans. This stat spread will slow you to have all Crucible Knight gear equipped without using a talisman to boost your equip load. If you don't care for the Crucible Hornshield you can drop you End to 41 and pump up your Str and Faith, preferably faith as the damage bonus from STR will be minimum and raising your faith will increase your incant scaling with different seals besides the Clawmark seal.
which weapon is better may i ask because the spear dont scale with strength as much as the sword but it have a usable ash of war and you can hide behind the shield

Working on this rn. Wouldn't it be better to use the erdtree seal if you aren't using beast spells? Or do spells not actually scale with strength. Like, what I am asking is would your high strength even matter with the clawmark seal, if you are using crucible spells which might only scale with faith?
That’s what I want to know. Right now, I’m using the Clawmark Seal still, because my STR is 80. But once my FTH catches up, is the Erdtree Seal better???
Need to look into cast breakpoints on crucible cast. They arnt much but they help dramatically in pvp. Rada talisman also a few more points into dex to hit the first breakpoint atleast. Rest seems fine but alexander talisman can be dropped for pvp for maybe a poise option.
I’m on the Malenia RP right now but I’m lvling up this character now too. Playing as Malenia with Waterfowl (super fast attacks), with all the successive attacks talismans, faith for her big flower rot explosion incantation, is so fun. Her great rune for the rally mechanic + the fast attacks makes is so easy to get health back, especially with the swaddled sumn talisman giving u back even more health and the erdtree blessing incantation…yea good stuff.
Crucicible knight worship the great tree which the Erdtree was grafted on. That’s the “primordial Erdtree”. They both have spells but have stylistically different start up images when casted. You can see the Great Tree image carved into the Round Table at the hold. That’s not the Erdtree symbol! They don’t worship the Erdtree. That’s why one is in jail. They are outlawed because they don’t worship the Golden Order. It’s heretical to put an Erdtree incantation on a Crucible Knight. You have done wrong, Sir!

40 vigor is insane
You always make the best videos man thanks
It's acually pretty good. The long range charged spear to poke enemies from afar does alot of damage and up close the sword really do work. The only issue is that the weapons weigh alot so you will get heavy rolls if you use the entire armor aswell if you don't have a TON in Endurance. So my tip is to use the Great jars arsenal instead of another talisman.
Been rocking crucible axe and tree armor and that wonderful spear for a while know. The weapons slap
I love rgv honestly some of the greatest RUclips gamers I’ve seen. The vids are so fun but honestly any vid with cotton in it will always get a view from me. Josh and hollow are amazing don’t get me wrong but you see cotton and you just know it’s gonna be a fun filled vid
Seriously didn't know you could attack Tanith and smite her Crucible Knight. That's awesome.
It's one of the least important softcaps to hit, especially since there are so many ways around low endurance to wear the armor you want and use the weapons you want to use.
lol I only went to 50 on my lvl 250 character, any normal build would be 25-30 tops
ignore the PvP players, they tend to forget PvE players exist that don't care about how high there character level goes. but anyway good to know that's probably a good spot to focus towards to hopefully meet my equip load needs.
@@Willow4526 even ignoring pvp players, it's just bad Stat spread all together
@@beebop7039 that literally makes no fucking sense when there is only a limit on how high a characters stats can go(& start), not what is accomplishable with any stats a individual wants to play with..... So "bad" is only relative to your skill level, I shouldn't need to tell you the "I fixed your build" commenter, that LVL 1 builds and playthroughs exists?
I travel the world searching out different buffets so I can sneak corndogs into them. I carry with me 6 corndogs stuffed away in my jackey pockets. I will then sneak them into the fried food sections of the buffet. It then, is a joy for me to see other patrons of the buffet enjoying my corndogs. They think they are part of the buffet. (;
that's probably illegal in some places mate and highly unappreciated advertising...
I'm sorry your channel is failing bud
I finished making a character with this build and it is awesome! When in doubt spear out.
I've done this already. The Crucible build is pretty good
Is this build really that strong or are you stacking a ton of buffs? I’d like to try this build out but worry it isn’t going to be as good as it looks here.
You should do a video on the Family Heads flail, great damage, use l2 in motion. Has great dex scaling (B at +6) Int weapon
I might try this after my current dragon playthrough.
I actually have this exact same build,I just use the greatshield talisman instead of the faith scorpion talisman
I want the stomp with the spikes to be a ash of war or incantation so bad cause that would be OP in pvp
Crucible Knights back on tour baby!!!
I made an invasion video based on crucible knight axe
Its kind hard to land the horn incantation or the sword weapon art
Using the shield was very fun
Ooh, I want that Crucible Knight armor!
Ok I have been playing with this lol its a ton of fun but for the wings there is a spell that will work till or if we get wings Scarlet Aeonia you jump up in the air and fly forward then burst. Its an acceptable stand in so you have a full kit
I checked out that halberd, I was shocked at the damage.
Always happy when you guys showcase alt builds, even if you have to make these kinda titles :P
I am currently exploring The Old Hunters DLC and I cannot wait to carve my way through the Chalice Dungeons with the DLC weapons....
ngl i love fighting the crucible knights
This comment aged perfectly - spotted it on the dlc trailer today
They missed many occasions to give us good crucible knight stuff. The hornshield should have had a stomp before the charge, there is a claw grab incantation the SIluria NPC uses, and all of them have the wing attack. I want them in the DLC!
Lol, been using it since the duo boss fight. Tried it once and it's op.
im pretty sure they added a couple of extra zeroes when they were giving them poise.
Gonna start my NG+ (vagabond) as a Crucible Knight going with your stats with a few more (i'm lvl 200). thx
I would get faith up just enough for the erdtrees blessing incantation after that leave faith alone
More faith for better weaponart damage.
Thank you very much❤❤❤🤙🤙
The spear isn't shooting a lazer it's shooting a big as tornado vortex, that's why it's physical.
Crucibles: If you can‘t beat em, join em
which weapon is better may i ask because the spear dont scale with strength as much as the sword but it have a usable ash of war and you can hide behind the shield
I've heard a rumor that dlc will contain the axe in the round table as a crucible weapon as it has a unique ID crucible knight's great axe.
This is what I've heard nothing much to it because I can't data mine myself
Didn't you guys not really like the spear? Glad to see you making this video.
This is very late but Erd tree seal is better once you pass around 70 in Faith before that the beast claw is better if you also have alot of strenght.
I thought lorewise the crucible knights pre-date the erdtree back to the time when dragons were the elden lord
Need to look into cast breakpoints on crucible cast. They arnt much but they help dramatically in pvp. Rada talisman also a few more points into dex to hit the first breakpoint atleast. Rest seems fine but alexander talisman can be dropped for pvp for maybe a poise option.
I couldn't get myself to using the scorpion charms unless I'm doing pure damage.
They actually do hit hard.
Idk y but ordovise’s great sword is one of if not my favourite weapon
Are you interested watching Elden Ring tv series and what your top 10 ideas, which steaming service would you like to see pickup the pilot
Did you check the shield bash of the horn shield??
Crucicible knight worship the great tree which the Erdtree was grafted on. That’s the “primordial Erdtree”. They both have spells but have stylistically different start up images when casted. You can see the Great Tree image carved into the Round Table at the hold. That’s not the Erdtree symbol! They don’t worship the Erdtree. That’s why one is in jail. They are outlawed because they don’t worship the Golden Order. It’s heretical to put an Erdtree incantation on a Crucible Knight.
You have done wrong, Sir!
Herecy is but a contrivance. All things must be conjoined.
the only bad thing about the shield IMO is that you cant set it to have no AoW, so you cant swwword and board and still effectively use the AoW from the weapons
Playing this game with no patch is something different no bubble people in the capital but imps
Poor guarranq he just wants to help like a good boi... And eat death
I am running a Dex/Faith Madness/Holy Crucible Knight build with Reduvias Blade, Blade of Gold, Vykes War Spear, Silurias Spear, Godslayer Seal, and Sacred Relic Sword... Elden Stars incant, Crucible Tail and Horns incant, and homed bolt... I shred PvP
these have been good weapons since release but the charge time on the weapons holds them back
I wish we could get their incantation with the wings charge attack
Okay 👍 👌 🙆♀️
Next malekith black blade build
i personally like carrying my spear on my left hand, so if i two hand my sword it will rest on my back
instead of the horn incantation they should give us wings
I’m currently on a mission to get this armor set. I’m at the dungeon but fight two of these guys at once is some major bs…
Hey got a question this is a role playing game right so what role are we sapoes to be the victim? The target? The dragon chew toy? The masochist?
I really enjoy these videos……but please give us more Pro&Noob in elden ring! That is pure entertainment!!
how are you managing to do 3k+ with the sword ash of war? even with buffs i'm only doing like 1900 maybe
So the tree armour boosts the crucible knight sword?
