In my headcanon the Crucible Knight in the Evergaol and the one in Stormveil both defected to Godrick's side during the Shattering. But the one in the Evergaol was so fed up with Godrick that he tried to leave and got locked up.
100% true imo. Every single other evergaol boss is either confirmed or implied to have been a traitor, banished or something along that line. I just wish there was lore about what he attempted to warrent the only one being locked up.
Here me out: Give the Breath incantation to another Crucible Knight, and have Tanith's Knight reward you with a Spirit Summon version of himself. And have the item description imply that he has no disdain for you (for defeating him), because he will gladly accept you as his Tanith replacement if it means he can continue fighting the Golden Order.
Getting a Crucible Knight as a spirit ash would be so OP that he could rival the silver tear for the top spot of best ash, and I would be okay with that.
Honestly now that I think about it, the very idea of a crucible knight going so far as to join the volcano manor is a concept that has some serious main character energy.
I dunno who shook me more on a first play: the hidden Knight in Stormveil suddenly *appearing* or Taniths Knight instant-transmitting behind me to wear my ass like a hat...
I get why it ranked lower, but one of my favorite Crucible Knights has to be the Siofra Aqueduct Hornshield Knight precisely because he can fall off. The first time I fought it I remembered their flying lunge attack and looked at the windows and was like "There's no way this works" and purposefully baited him off the edge. Especially given how some knights like the Nokron Belfry knight have invisible walls to avoid this exactly thing, it's incredibly satisfying to throw this guy off the ledge through a window. It was such memorable moment for me and now every time I'm going towards those damn Gargoyles I at least get excited that I can bully that one knight off the ledge first

Fun fact about the Farum Azula Crucible Knights: I don't know how coding works, but somehow because of the way they're set up to fight the Beastmen there, these specific Knights are also set up to fight Invaders. This also means Invaders can kill them if they want. I found this out randomly while invading, and it's unbelievably interesting to me.

The Crucible Knight from the duo fight in Castle Redmane would've been the coolest boss entrance in the game if it wasn't hard to get more than a glimpse of him flying in because of the misbegotten you're busy with. Such a missed opportunity, plus would've been a good opportunity to make it a proper boss gauntlet instead of a mostly-awkward duo fight.

Stormhill Crucible Knight was one of my first walls in this game. I had leveled like 4 times, I played through DS3 and thought I was hot shit (I wasnt), and I proceeded to lose for like 4 hours to this boss dealing nearly no damage and taking way too much, with only 4 heals. But this made their moveset ingrain into my head that now I cant help but love a fight against Crucible Knights now. Such a fun fight, feeling like an honorable standoff between 2 knights, like fighting a Darknut in The Legend of Zelda. Learning the intricacies of what's punishable and what isnt was a trial at first but in retrospect taught me how to approach bosses from then on.
I've always grouped the knights into 1 of 3 categories. 1: Type A - Sword with Tail 2: Type B - Sword with Fire 3: Type C - Spear I have legit made 35 character across 4 profiles and have never seen a Type A breath fire or a Type B sprout a tail it's very much one or the other. Type A being the most difficult with the tail shutting down their openings and screwing with my timings and all that, even now they often clip me with it. Type B is just kinda whatever the fire breath is plenty telegraphed to avoid, I kinda hate how in blows you over onto your ass but I hate when anything does that, I don't like having control taken from me, so it's not a direct complaint against the knight specifically (way too many "oops you're on your ass now" attacks in this game man).

Just by looking at the thumbnail, I got an idea for the dlc. A crucible knight summons, but to make it not overly powerful, it would take a 1000+ hp to summon it.
He has to. He will make a "DLC weapons tier list" and then a new ranking for all the weapons after the final patch of the game. Then, he will ascend to a higher plane of existence were he will be able to see the true ranking of all things that exist in the universe.
The fact that every time you get invaded in the whole end up with you fighting a player model (yes, the sanguine noble in the snowfield is an player model, he has 2 reduvias) and then you slap tanith and you get invaded by an actual boss only happens once makes me kinda sad because of just how hilarious it is on a first encounter.
I actually think the 16 Crucible Knight detail is still valid and has important lore implications. Let me just establish some facts real quick taken from the lore. 1. Godfrey's symbol is the axe 2. There are 16 Crucible knights in the game. 10 wield swords. 6 wield spears. 3. The Crucible existed before Godfrey. Now, let's look at the roundtable of the roundtable hold. Embedded in it are 10 swords and one axe. I believe that Siluria's Armor is what the original Crucible Set looked. The symbol of Godfrey. Siluria and her 5 followers may have been less enthusiastic about this change in leadership and chose to keep their armor as is, in reverance of the crucible itself instead of to a lord.
The Rampart Tower Crucible Knight is actually one that stands out to me because of some cheese I stumbled upon during my first encounter with it. I ran past the thing like a coward and took a moment to breathe when I reached the lift, only for the knight to catch up. What followed was a bout of panic rolling that resulted in the lift going up without me, and the knight taking a ride. I thought, "Well, bye now." Then I had a good laugh when seconds later, I saw the knight fall to its death.
Crucible Knights are elite soldiers. Uniformity is quite prevalent in military units, so I get why so many of them are similar. Not dissimilar to the Black or Silver Knights, Haligtree Knights etc. who come is select variations.

Another thing that boosts tanith's knight is that you see him just chilling when you first see him, and then when you attack her, he finally kicks into action
I think the Rampart Tower knight deserves a higher ranker just because he was my first ever encounter with a crucible knight and that was absolutely terrifying.

Another thing that boosts tanith's knight is that you see him just chilling when you first see him, and then when you attack her, he finally kicks into action
Wow, I couldn't even fathom this would ever be a video. Impressed truly. Have a like and a sub.
I can't wait for the "rating all my ratings videos" video.
Omg I don’t care how many people call this desperate, this is the content I’ve been waiting for!
I think the Rampart Tower knight deserves a higher ranker just because he was my first ever encounter with a crucible knight and that was absolutely terrifying.
At this point, by the time the DLC comes out, I'll be watching him rank all the hairstyles (Two videos: one for vanilla, one for modded)
I swear he will rank all the boulders in Elden Ring first, before he does his own Spell Mod ranking
Crucible armor with one of the stone imp heads can be fantastic, you just switch which one you need like you're Peacemaker
i hadn’t even considered tanith’s knights lore, definitive goat of all crucible knights.
i just loved that pose, the gigachad bodyguard.
Convergence mod ranking videos! Starting classes, unique weapons, unique talismans, unique bosses, unique spells, and more! Plenty of content.
I was expecting just an average tier list video, but you were actually kinda funny. Good job.
"Not Ordovis" "This guy sucks" Uses Surelya in the thumbnail.
I cant wait to get the Wings ash of War in the DLC! I've already make whole Crucible Knight builds but always felt like I'm missing the main part.
I actually saw that twinblade video in the intro right before this holy wow
i was playing v rising with this in the background when the sponsor came on and I lost it
Did anyone else just get a test of the National emergency warning just now
Rusty has ranked all staves, all bows, all weapons, all incantations, all sorceries, all magic types, all ashes of war, all spirit summons, all caves and probably a few others that I may be missing but one thing stands out. He ranked the staves, yet he hasn’t ranked the sacred seals.
Love how Miyazaki said there’s 16 and they’re all alive and then he brings out a seventeenth one in the dlc
They really should’ve just put Siluria and Ordovis together for that duo boss.
Rusty slowly reveling his past is just so fucking funny
I didn’t piece that stuff together about tannith’s knight, but now that I know that I really like it.
The Nokron Knight standing in water is my favorite to send flying with the horn incantation
