At first, the action of stopping a group from singing Star Spangled Banner is unpatriotic. Although, while I must note I do not know the full context of the video, It seemed as if they were singing more than the first verse (The first verse is commonly the only verse sung). If you don’t know why that would be a problem, allow me to remind you of the 3rd verse:

I'm British. Your national anthem was written to commemorate a battle fought by the US and Britain during the war of 1812. The lyrics about the rockets and the flag being "still there" commemorate actual events. The lyricist borrowed the tune from a popular English drinking song of that era and wrote new words. The song is beautiful. God Bless America, and God Bless every patriot who sings it. Everybody who's offended by your national anthem is a disgusting piece of sheet. End of.

We sang the National Anthem ! All of these actions were completed before class began.... Everyday for 8 years !!! I love this country & all of the people here. It is sad to see all this social silencing going on these days ! Wherever I go in this country !!! If The National Anthem is being played ... I don't think it was her. I think she was the one trying to stop the men behind her from doing something. She seemed to be respectful in the beginning until one of the men in the back said something then she was talking with them the whole time. They stormed off and she tried to stop them after talking on the phone with somebody.

The police silencing people in a public building because of the content of what they are saying is pretty much the most direct and unambiguous violation of the First Amendment that there can be.
It most certainly is, and I doubt very much they just showed up and started singing, most certainly they were invited. I sincerely hope the legal aspect of what I just witnessed is pursued. Those two should've been escorted from the building for causing a disturbance if anything.

The word ''SONS' in the verse, offended the feminists because its sexist, so it was changed to Australans ALL let us rejoice for we are ONE and FREE.
So they have changed 2 words in the first line and working on the word 'free' to change that also. And this is just verse one.
Their argument is that 'free' has to do with slavery (never a thing here in the sense of USA slavery at all) Although there were many black on black massacres in poems from back in history and slavery between the tribes. Of course the term used in the song has nothing to do with slavery freedom, but free to do what we like (not so now of course).
AS for the 'YOUNG' in the Anthem.. that of course means Australia is a young country in the same sense as the USA is as a whole and nation of all peoples. nothing to do with the actual age of the country, which all are basically similar in age.

French are offended by their national anthem, as some French communists and anarchists only recognize to the internationale. In China some people are offended by their anthem, which is a military march instead of a proper song.
