    When it comes to figure skating jumps, the loop jump might just be our favorite! It has a smooth edge take off and can be added on as a combination to any other jump. It often gets overlooked for more exciting jumps like axel and lutz, but it definitely has a special place in our heart. Now even though we love it, mastering the loop jump can be quite tricky. A deep outside edge on the entry, with your feet crossed before jumping…it already sounds like a challenge. But no need to worry because we’re here to help!
    In this lesson, we’re gong to show you the simple steps to mastering a loop jump. From landing your first loop jump, learning how to do it with speed and then evetually trying it from a difficult entry. Plus we also threw in some extra helpful tips that are going to make mastering the loop jump a whole lot easier!
    In this lesson you'll learn:
    - 3 entries to help you grow your loop jump
    - The simple corrections that will help you land more loop jumps
    - How to know that you have MASTERED the loop jump
    Happy Skating!

    It becomes so incredibly hard for someone who's done it all their life to actually explain how horrifying the moment immediately right after the 3-turn becomes, I feel like there's a lot more exposition, explanation, and instruction needed to really help beginners find the courage and focus to do the jump after having swung their body's balance around with that 3-turn

    i love the spread eagle/ina bauer entry, i can't wait to be able to do it one day, could you do a more in depth tutorial on ina bauer? I have very open and flexible hips so I was convinced I'd be able to do it easily, but I can't figure it out! I don't know what I'm missing

    one loop entry that i really like to do is doing a series of double-3 turns into it. it's a very challenging one but i find it really helps to keep my shoulders in check and control the rotation! :D

    I'm confused about the actual point where the blade leaves the ice. When you jump off the outside edge do you rock up to the toe pick and actually use that to jump or just jump only off the edge? I have heard some coaches say jump off the edge only and some say rock up from the edge to the toe pick and jump

    • @nextedgetutorials
      @nextedgetutorials  2 месяца назад

      It’s definitely an edge to a toe pick 😉❤️❤️

    I need your advice. I've been doing my loop jump from an Inside 3T. how can I change my entry from outside edge loop? It's so hard for me.

    • @nextedgetutorials
      @nextedgetutorials  4 месяца назад +1

      Try it with a back swizzle and then hit the outside edges 👍

    I do the traditional entry, but I can't skate towards the circle, so I jump and land almost straight. For the 3 turn entry it's the opposite. I swing too much and have no stability, but I prefer the first entry anyways. How can I fix this?

      Try focusing on the free leg and not letting it dance around 😉 keep the arms strong left arm in front and right arm back
