- So I'm finally unboxing my Starspeeder 1000 playset from Disney Parks along with showing my other Star Tours Toys. I have the Star Tours Boarding Party set of action figures too! These are now hard to find Star Wars toys. They were once sold in Disneyland and Walt Disney World! You won't find anything like this in Star Wars Galaxy's Edge.

This is soooooo cool in person!! I bought one today at a used store for $10 loose no box but in great condition. I got such a kick out of discovering all the cool things it does.
I bought this when I was last at Disneyland back in 2013. My doors get stuck too haha
I tried to buy one every time I went to Disneyland. I could never find them. Maybe I’ll ask Santa for one 😉.

The 1401 is referring to the flight you take on the ride. Once you enter the ship, a cast member will say welcome to flight 1401 and a droid and C3PO say it as well on the screen of to the side.
But it's also the building number for Disney Imagineering in Glendale, CA

I am in Australia and it’s so hard to collect and the prices through the roof but I got to get that star tours speeder as a kid I found out star tours was opening in Disney I saved up and got there early 90’s the greatest thing ever for me I have such love for star tours and another reason I love your channel thanks again I’m saving again to come back over for galexies edge see ya soon I hope.

That’s great. This vehicle is a real gem. I knew I wanted it for years and finally just bought it a few years back. Now that I’ve opened it I’m really pleased with all the features. It’s my favorite toy ship now.
I think I said the same thing when I opened mine “this is the best thing I’ve ever bought” 😂 this ship is seriously one of the best ship/playsets. Although everything I press the buttons on the back I expect to hear “welcome aboard this is Captain Rex from the cockpit” cause I played with the old one a lot as a kid. Love the pack of figures too! I’m so bummed I missed grabbing them. Big thumbs up for this one!

Got one of these at Disney World a couple years ago, and it's one of the coolest Star Wars items I've ever seen! I even ordered the boarding party figure set off ebay on the way home from Florida, ha. I LOVE that it has Teek and Kaink from the Ewok movies! I already had Captain Rex, and it's all amazing together, just wish the shuttle was the original version, ha.

Kaink was in the previous Ewok TV-movie, Caravan of Courage.

Starspeeder 3000 was the Galactic Civil War era ship. When they re-themed the ride for the prequels, they changed it to the Starspeeder 1000 since it’s supposed to be an earlier model. Personally, I think that since they include scenes from the sequel trilogy, they should change the model to 5 or 6000.
I’d run a Star Tours roll playing adventure like Dungeons and Dragons with this toy 😄 Star Tours is like a one shot adventure. Well that’s just how a gamer thinks like how I wish I could run a Dungeons and Dragons adventure in Story Book Land. That place is like a gigantic D&D battle map. Just stop the boat and let me roll some dice and move my mini fig around the castles 🏰 maybe fight a dragon 🐉
Man, the next time I go to disneyland i'm keeping a good wad of cash saved for one of these. I used to have the smaller one but my dumb kid brain destroyed it.

My gf bought me this for my birthday and it was defective as hell. The buttons that open the doors would jam, the destinations never worked, and the stickers started to peel off almost immediately.

I had a very similar toy when i was a kid, it was white and blue though, with an orange droid driver and it was also fairly smaller
i got the sneak preview star speeder but when i found out that this existed shortly after i felt kinda ripped off

Does this need batteries? I get concerned with leaving batteries inside of a toy for too long. Sounds like it works right out of the box.

Hello ! Thanks for this video and the lightning on this fantastic toy. I own one and since I bought a lot time ago I thought this is THE toy Hasbro should be inspired by for his own Star Wars ship. It’s playable, full of details but « simple ». No Nerf, no forgettable Force Banded ... it’s a toy of quality that remembers me of an old piece of junk, a toy and diorama called Millenium Falcon.

Definitely want top pick one up. Also want to see if I can find the figure pack, with references to both Caravan of Courage and Battle for Endor. I think the reason for the figures not having weapons is due to Disney's policy of no weapons in the park.

I bought this years ago on ebay. My doors stick like that too, so I guess it's just a design issue. The captain's chair is there so you have the option of piloting the ship with the two-legged droid that replaced R3X. (I believe his name is ACE38.)

1401 is the flight number of the star speeders used in both versions of the ride.

rgd963 actually I feel like it’s one of the best made toy playset/ships I own. I’ve spent thousands on items for reviews and stuff and this one in particular has the most features and nails the likeness of the actual ride vehicle. What in your opinion is a fair price based on current market values?
