I've watched a lot of tutorials, but yours is the best of the best. excellent explanation. maybe I would suggest, I'd like to see more the Toms, because sometimes I don't understand which Tom you hit. however thank you very much.
Hi Gennaro... Thank you for the kind words... Yes, you are right... These camera angles can be a little confusing... I have tried to improve this on the newer videos... All the best Gennaro...
superb lesson... exactly what i needed to play along and I could skip the details if not needed. Practicing sections with you finally got me nearer playing this masterpiece ;)
Hi James. Thanks very much for your positive feedback... Good luck with learning this song. Its a lot of fun... Please let us know if there are any songs or things you would like to learn and I can perhaps make a lesson for you... All the best James... Dave
Awesome instructional video! One thing I do need to point out is the section at 3:20 there is a tom strike after the open hi hat if you're playing it how it's played in the song.
I might learn this and my first intermediate level song, I’m in percussion class for hs and as a senior they have us learn 2 songs to do on drum kit from a list
Thanks Dave for the shout out. Great work as always. I will have to go practice now :) My next request for a lesson would be for Like Wow Wipeout - Hoodoo Gurus
I feel like it would be better if you filmed it in another angle like with the camera on top. The way it is not only it's hard to see exactly which tom you are hitting, but also the foot cam screen is in front of the toms.
Hi Mr. Meeseeks… Thanks very much for the feedback... I will see what I can do with adding another camera angle so we can see the toms better... Once again, really appreciate the feedback!
This is super helpful! I’m not much of a drummer, could someone please explain why he does an open hi hat sometimes when it doesn’t appear in the tabs? (Or maybe it does appear, I’m still getting used to drum tabs 😅)
Hi Jordan... Great to hear from you... If you are referring to how I play the High Hat with the left foot... This is basically a way that drummers can 'keep in time'... Especially if a drummer is going to play a fill, it can be very useful to play the left foot to keep time... I notice I did this a lot in this video... And i don't really write this in the tabs as it's not necessary at all to play it... If you are referring to when the high hat is played while open, this is symbolized with a 'o' above the high hat... Hopefully this helps... Thanks Jordan
Hi Rafi... Thanks for nice appreciation... Yes, I will have a blog available very soon for this video with all the sheet music available for download... Thanks Rafi...
