Representative Mary Gay Scanlon Remarks on Rededication of Marian Anderson Hall

On Tuesday, United States Congresswoman Mary Gay Scanlon spoke of Marian Anderson's legacy, and the rededication of Verizon Hall in her name, on the floor of the United States House of Representatives. We are just over three weeks away from celebrating the hall renaming in honor of the trailblazing contralto and civil rights activist, who not only broke barriers as a performer, but also served our country as a delegate for the United Nations Human Rights Committee and a Goodwill Ambassador for the US Department of State.
