Rammstein's lyrics are clear and concrete enough. If you could make them visible (even with automatic translation) you would get more of the context of the song. And that would be more satisfying for us too. So many things were left up in the air. It's not essential for this track, but you should try it in your next Rammstein song. Thanks for everything else. Rammstein tends to have double meanings in a LOT of their lyrics and this song is no exception in the context of the video. Only thing this poor guy needs in life are big tits and yet he's blind and unaware that he's surrounded by them.
Their lyrics are actually often absolutely filled with double meanings and wordplay and references that only work in German. Not this song so much but some. But you can at least get the surface meaning with a translation

The music video was actually recorded in Austria, in the village of Ellmau witch is in the state of Tirol. Tirol is a very beutifull place by the way. 😃
Erfurt is the capital city of the state of Thuringia and located north of Bavaria. The name of the city has the same ending ("-furt") like Frankfurt and the English equivalent ending is "-ford" (e.g. Oxford, which would be "Ochsfurt" if it were located in Germany). Both mean the same thing: A shallow place in a river or stream allowing one to walk or drive across (e.g. ox carts in olden times). Since these points were strategically important and well visited, towns and cities would later develop around these places (hence the city names).

I was an infantry soldier in the 82nd Airborne in the very early 80's and was called to transfer to Schwienfurt Germany for a short time. I saw Rammstein in concert a couple of times. Thanks for this!
I was stationed at Bitburg from September of 88 to 90. Got to see some amazing things. Loved Octoberfest in Munich when I was there, the Black Forest and all the castles and such.

Hey :) I think there are translations in their youtube videos for a lot of songs. This song is really just a fun song and nothing too deep i guess, but a lot fo their songs are pretty deep. Rammstein songs can be what you make of em a lto fo times. Different meanings. The leadsinger is the son of a german poet and he publishes a lot of poetry himself. AS Rammstein lyrics his poetry can also be seen as "controversial". Mostly it is just him switching into the "I" or "me" from? Like into the protagonist. That sometimes is a cannibal, might be a rapist, sometimes he is a boy that got raped by a priest and so on. Some people here in Germany take it way to literal and try to portray him as some sort of violent psycho while he just like on stage is just a persona for songs and lyrics. He himself is actually pretty shy. You wont find many interviews with him and a lot of times he wears sunglasses in them to hide at least a little. Also the crazy shows and so on came partly of his huge stage fright. He says he needs his alter ego or a role to play because wouldnt feel comfortable being himself. He loves to act in videos and shows for that reason. Songs like Amour, Ohne dich, Mein Herz brennt or Frühling in Paris are more intimate and soft and more personal. Best regards
I've been watching a number of your reactions now and enjoyed them. Another band that take effort to make great music videos is Sabaton. And it's the perfect time of the year to check out their video Christmas Truce.
I'm very love your reaction, nice! The video was made in Ellmau, small village in Austria, close to the Bavarian border. There is information on the wall of this old wooden house about the video and the place is very proud of it. P.S. please pronounce it "AIRFURT", so it sounds right... 😀
I was born in the city of Wurzburg Germany. I lived therefore five year the my mom married a GI and we emigrated to the USA and became US citizens. Fortunately I still speak German but with an accent. “Ich bin eine Bayern”. Love your Chanel so much I subscribed. Best wishes from Helmut Georg Horst klammas.
Even beyond the pretty funny lyrics and gorgeous visuals (in several ways) this is also one of their most melodic songs with an all brass version which even my classical music snob mum loves.
There are some of their songs that sound great while watching the live version (besides the crazy pyrotechnics), but their creativity really shines in their official music videos. Some to add to your list are: Sonne Rosenrot Amerika (my favorite) Donaukinder (may be a bit hard to find) Mein Teil Keine Lust
Really surprising selection of the song 😁out of all the huge catalogue from this band .. this song might rank in the 50s 😉 Anway, interesting that you have been to Erfurt/Germany, capital of my home state and very beautiful indeed 😀 Keep going. Bavaria is great! And the beer.. ....and was time to make a song about titt1es and give them the respect they deserve..lol..Yeah..their videos are great..the best in my opinion. just like their live performances.. ..the channels " educatedmarine " and "Bucksttabu " have most of their songs subtitled and re-uploaded, if not subtitles in Rammstein official channel.... maybe next from Buchsttabu channel-> Rammstein - Engel (Live in Amerika) [CC] )..or their opening in Maddison Square Garden -> Rammstein - Rammlied (Live in Amerika) [CC] .. ..i hear one song of them per day, for a long time.. ..Your channel will grow like a snowball..you will see! Have all a great weekend! ..p,s, they giving credits on many of their videos, is fantastic!
As usual all male roles in the focus are played by the members of Rammstein. Even though it's a funny song, it fits into the melancholic theme of the whole album "Zeit" (time) focusing on the finiteness of life, it's implications and the futile tries to stop or rewind time. Greetings from Frankfurt/Main. 🙋♂
greetings from germany, i was in Erfurt yesterday and am happy that you saw this too :) It´s better then Bavaria or Frankfurt, where you also were, in my oppinion :) But the bavarian beer ("Helles") is awesome! :D
Hi, you have a new subscriber here. I have watched a few of your videos now and i really like your reactions. With both Rammstein and Nightwish you are really down my alley. By the way, i'm also quite a nerd and a gamer.
I think if you really like listening to Rammstein you should really watch the 2021 live version of Sonne from their show in Berlin. I will say seeing them live is the best show ever. I first started listening to them back in 94.
Hello and a nice 2nd Advent from Germany. Here is a suggestion.Null Positiv - wo rauch ist ist auch feuer. The group has, among other things, Rammstein as a role model.
That's why you watch rammstein videos with english subtitles. So that the fun doesn't go to waste. Just always enter english subtitles in the search when you search for a song.
I vote for "Love you to Death" by Type O Negative. Also you can put on English translation on the Closed Captioning and it does a pretty good job translating Rammstein videos.
Really a very nice and well-considered reaction! 😊Also your reactions to the other Rammstein videos. 'Du hast' is live, but 'Deutschland' and 'Dicke Titten' are studio videos (or rather short movies), so I would like to recommend some live videos of the band, for example 'Engel' live from Madison Square Garden (and the place was packed!), 'Rammlied' also from Madison Square Garden and 'Ohne Dich' live in Paris. I think you'll love their live persormances. By the way, if you try to understand the lyrics of Rammstein, they are almost always ambiguous and words that are pronounced the same have a completely different meaning, e.g. 'du hast = you have', but 'du hasst = you hate' and just by listening you don't know the difference. This is because the lyrics are designed in such a way that both are possible. An example in English would be 'to raze sth' and 'to raise sth'. There are also several songs by Rammstein that are controversial because of the events they refer to and the band is not afraid to address the amoral excesses of a society or maybe better societies.
The lyrics translated to English. [Verse 1] I've lived alone for many years Life is dull, everyday life is grey I lose patience, sanity and hair I would like to have a wife And the hope wants to wane Finding a partner Who is coequal to me No, there’s no luck in sight [Chorus] She doesn't have to be beautiful She doesn't have to be smart, no She doesn’t have to be rich Not a model with long strides But big tits [Verse 2] Like a constantly open wound Blood drips from the soul Only consolation are little dogs A fine miss would be good A fine miss would be great I'm not demanding at all I'm not picky at all At the end of the story You might also like Käärijä - Cha Cha Cha (English Translation) Genius English Translations Flowers Miley Cyrus A&W Lana Del Rey [Chorus] She doesn't have to be beautiful She doesn't have to be smart, no She doesn't have to be rich But I would like to ask for one thing Big tits [Instrumental Break] [Bridge] I'm not demanding at all But big boobs would be great [Chorus] She doesn't have to be beautiful She doesn’t have to be smart She only has to be rich In adipose tissue, please, please She won’t miss anything from me She doesn't even have to kiss me Doesn’t need to comfort me with grapes She only has to have huge tits Big tits
Another great German band to check out would be Electric Callboy. Most of their songs are in English, but they throw in German songs & phrases. “Hypa Hypa” or “Everytime We Touch” would be great introductory videos 😁
Great video - two things to help with as an expat living in Munich..., "Drindl", no. Pronounce it like "Deern-dill" ..., spelled, "Dirndl" and then you'll have nailed it. Also, Okterberfest, or Wiesn ("Vee-sin") is only in Munich. All other festivals are NOT the "Oktoberfest". Just thought that might be helpful. Happy New Year!
Thanks - nice reaction :) I recommend using English subtitles when reacting to Rammstein. Probably you'll like this: Engel (live from Madison Square Garden - with subtitles)
In times of cancel culture, outrage and sensitivity over actually simple comedy without discriminating against people or sexualizing them, it's pleasant to see someone like you who sees things in a relaxed manner. Greetings from Germany ❤
I lived in Nürnberg, Germany for 11 years and loved the culture. Nürnberg is in Bavaria and was one of Hitler's favorite places, there is a place called Dutzendteich in Nürnberg where Hitler stood to watch the military parades, the stand where Hitler stood still stands today and you can go up into the stands and stand where Hitler once stood. Nürnberg is also where they held the Nazi war trials and that courthouse is still there and is still being used as a courthouse. Nürnberg also has an old-world Christmas market in the old town called the Christkindlesmarkt, it takes you back in time.
Hey you really should go and react to the songs of Rammstein: Spring! and the song: Stein um Stein.... in all songs Rammstein sings about things in life, other bands do never make a song about... really any subject you can come up with, even the eeri subjects in life...Rammstein has probably a song about it! And the more you listen to them, the more you will start to appreciate them... these guys are truly world class and do not be surprised to see that at a concert you'll see senior citizens, typical Heavy Metal fans and young children head banging together on their songs, it is such a feast to be part of that, no really. Been several times to Rammstein concerts now, I can really advise for you to go there; at least once in your life and try to get tickets near the stage!

Because of Erfurt: You can use "air" and "ford" (like Henry Ford) for the pronunciation. And this town isn't a small town. There live nearly 200.000 inhabitants. It is the capital of Thuringia (Thüringen).

Awesome band. Great song. Great reaction. Interesting video to say the least🤣
I made the mistake once of calling a girl from Würzburg „bayrisch“. They don‘t like it. They consider themselves „fränkisch“ 😅
Even beyond the pretty funny lyrics and gorgeous visuals (in several ways) this is also one of their most melodic songs with an all brass version which even my classical music snob mum loves.
The flowers he steps on at the end have a much deeper meaning than it might appear.
I loved you react hahaha very charismatic! One more subscriber 🤘🏽
I love that you straight out call them tits and titties instead of being proper like other RUclipsrs and calling them breasts
There are some of their songs that sound great while watching the live version (besides the crazy pyrotechnics), but their creativity really shines in their official music videos. Some to add to your list are:
Sonne
Rosenrot
Amerika (my favorite)
Donaukinder (may be a bit hard to find)
Mein Teil
Keine Lust
You misspelled "Mann gegen mann" so many times !
Really surprising selection of the song 😁out of all the huge catalogue from this band .. this song might rank in the 50s 😉
Anway, interesting that you have been to Erfurt/Germany, capital of my home state and very beautiful indeed 😀
Keep going. Looking forward to your next reactions to Rammstein and Nightwish 🤘🤘🤘
I LOVE YOUR REACTION...YOU OPENED MY MIND ABOUT GERMANY I LOVE ..WANNA VISIT

ZICK ZACK !!!
My dear Stacey, I just randomly found onto your channel and I must mention this: *your voice gives me (positive) chills* ... Wow!
Luckily, you don't only concentrate your astonishing beautiful voice to my hearing ... 🌹
Spent 4 months in Germany and your right awesome beer and beautiful country; I'll go back! Octoberfest unbelievable!
They even used the melody of "Wooden Heart (muss i denn)" by Elvis, which is hilarious.
He is surrounded by all what he wants. But he's blind and can't see it. Sometimes everyone is just blind.
New here and subbed, it is really a fresh way of reaction. Thank you! Greetings from Bavaria
I am just in the first few songs you reacting to Rammstein, but you can but on the CC's haha, you can read them a bit in the background🤭 Keep up the good work, liked all of your song in this "series" and also love that you don't click away the credits hahah!💕
Merry Christmas, Stacey.❤ Good reaction.
Merry Christmas!
It was recorded in Ellmau, Austria :)
Good to hear, that you loved Oktoberfest. I am from Munich, cant wait for the next one 🙂
greetings from germany, i was in Erfurt yesterday and am happy that you saw this too :)
It´s better then Bavaria or Frankfurt, where you also were, in my oppinion :)
But the bavarian beer ("Helles") is awesome! :D
Dirndls are perfect for this theme lol. The flowers he steps on are Edelweiss, the national flower of Austria.
It's such a fun song.
Be sure to watch the live performance of Rammstein - "Feuer Frei" Live Download Festival 2013. It's the quintessence of energy and madness.
My first Rammstein video, and I'm laughing. Hilarious and even tho it's wandering into the blue, it keeps itself optimistic and innocent, almost.
That's why you watch rammstein videos with english subtitles. So that the fun doesn't go to waste. Just always enter english subtitles in the search when you search for a song.
😀 regards from Germany
I grew up in germany, mostly in neirstein on the rhein River. To this day, I miss it. Best place to grow up.
I vote for "Love you to Death" by Type O Negative.
Also you can put on English translation on the Closed Captioning and it does a pretty good job translating Rammstein videos.
The channel "educatedmarine" has great subtitles to a lot of their videos, highly recommended.
You would be astounded to all the craziness that they have done on their music videos
I've been to Erfurt- A pretty, small town, with a massive cathedral and lovely painted houses.
Blackbriar - My Soul's Demise (Official Music Video) Just throwing it out there. One of my favorite bands.
The lyrics translated to English.
[Verse 1]
I've lived alone for many years
Life is dull, everyday life is grey
I lose patience, sanity and hair
I would like to have a wife
And the hope wants to wane
Finding a partner
Who is coequal to me
No, there’s no luck in sight
[Chorus]
She doesn't have to be beautiful
She doesn't have to be smart, no
She doesn’t have to be rich
Not a model with long strides
But big tits
[Verse 2]
Like a constantly open wound
Blood drips from the soul
Only consolation are little dogs
A fine miss would be good
A fine miss would be great
I'm not demanding at all
I'm not picky at all
At the end of the story

She doesn't have to be rich
But I would like to ask for one thing
Big tits
[Instrumental Break]
[Bridge]
I'm not demanding at all
But big boobs would be great
[Chorus]
She doesn't have to be beautiful
She doesn’t have to be smart
She only has to be rich
In adipose tissue, please, please
She won’t miss anything from me
She doesn't even have to kiss me
Doesn’t need to comfort me with grapes
She only has to have huge tits
Big tits
Another great German band to check out would be Electric Callboy. Most of their songs are in English, but they throw in German songs & phrases. “Hypa Hypa” or “Everytime We Touch” would be great introductory videos 😁
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Liebe Grüße aus Deutschland. Vielen Dank für deine super Reaction!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Warm greetings from Germany. Thank you for your great reaction!

1:50 unbelievingly satisfying pronunciation. Usually people can’t say „scht“ and just say „st“
Great. Two more different songs to look for would be 'Ich will' (Huricane Festival 2016) and 'Ohne Dich' (Official Video). And of course 'Zeit'.
Stacy, you are the BEST, Love your reactions.
if you want to hear a serious song... "zeit" or "angst" ...very, very good songs. greetings from mainz (very close to frankfurt)🙂
Greetings! I miss Germany so much! Thank you for the recommendation!
Thanks - nice reaction :)
I recommend using English subtitles when reacting to Rammstein.
"Zeit" - next reaction, please) It is masterpiece!
You should react to "Electric Callboy" (also a German band) Trust me, you won't regret it! 😁 Keep it up! 👍
The beauty is in the hand of the handholder. Sometimes you just want someone to hold your hand. Laugh now, wish you had listened later.
Great Reaction. Greetings from Germany
what’s the actual genre for the instrumental part of the song? is it folk? i love that style lol
(6:36) If you love that level of commitment check out "Ich tu' dir weh" and try to guess how he managed to have his mouth light up - hint: Most likely "es tat ihm weh"...
It´s really cool that you took the time to read the lyrics

Nice reaction :) had a laugh when you discovered what the song is about :) maybe you do this or maybe not, but you could read a translation afterwards, you would be surprised what something means.
great to hear you are not just visiting big citys but also smaller ones. thats the real Germany ;) Erfurt ist a great town. I would also recommend Leipzig or Dresden
I most enjoyed Erfurt, but the other two are great. Realistically, every town and city I went in Germany was awesome.
A great international band who I hope to see live. Think a Japanese band Baby Metal would b right up your alley from old school metal head.
Till has his Lindemann project
I also recommend making a reaction to a song🔥😜
Because of Erfurt:
You can use "air" and "ford" (like Henry Ford) for the pronunciation.
And this town isn't a small town. There live nearly 200.000 inhabitants. It is the capital of Thuringia (Thüringen).
