6:31 The guy with the tour suitcase is Rammstein's oldest roadie Peter. The band would like to thank him for his many years of cooperation. Because of his trembling hand, I suspect that he has Pakinson's disease.
The line "needle, string, scissors, light" is a reminiscence to "knife, fork, scissors, light" from Heinrich Hoffmann's Struwwelpeter (Shockhead Peter), which shows Till Lindemann's affinity to classic German lyrics and fairy tales.
Also, Rammstein is authentic and have a "take no prisoners" approach. They don't care and always push the boundaries. I just love them.

"Der Penis sieht jetzt wieder Sonne" directly translated means "The penis now sees the sun again", since the belly fat has been removed.
one of my favorite lines is: "Eitelkeit ist nie bescheiden" meaning "vanity is never modest". I'm pernonally not saying one has to be modest and must not be vain, but it is a contradiction

Some reactors on RUclips do not care so much about what they watch while you are clearly different from them. You take your time to comment and to deep dive, you are passionate about all of this and your interest is clear to see. @@johnlincicum6390 Direct translation for Zick Zack is "zigzag." In this application it means "snip," as in cutting away. Tic Tok is one of those phrases that means the same in English and in German. In the song "Tick Tack, Tick Tack, du bist alt" translates to "tic tock, tic tok, you are old" The passage, "Zick Zack, Zick Zack, schneid das ab," means "snip, snip, cut that off."
What i love about Rammstein is that they very very rarely give interviews and never explain their music. Sometimes they talk to some youtubers or small music magazins . But you will never see them sitting in talkshows faking philosophy about their "massage". They just dont need that kind of attention.

Zeit is mega epic!
Nothing beats there live shows. Got to see them in 2022 in America. Missed their tour in Europe last summer but 5hey are touring 8n Europe again this summer. If you have a chance do not miss them. They even had a plane fly over beaches in summer 2022 saying “ if you think it is hit now, wait till Rammstein arrives.”

The lyrics are really what sets Rammstein songs apart, they usually can have multiple deeper meanings so you really need to learn the words and what different things they can mean, to see the complete meaning of the songs context. Add to that awesome music that just kicks ass....
Also to note is that in general metal music quite often deals with much deeper topics than the general pop music...
This video reminded me that if you watch Nightwish Noise, you should choose the official music video. Usually they are at their best live, but this video explains the purpose of the song.
You got the meaning quite well despite it being in german. Indeed "Zick Zack, schneid es ab" means "Zick Zack, cut it off".

Hello Stacey, first I would like to introduce myself. My name is Dirk I come from Saarlouis in Germany and I've been following your Rammstein reactions from the beginning...And for your next Rammstein reaction I can highly recommend the mann gegen mann video, I'm really curious to see what your reaction is to this video.
Been a big fan of Rammstein since discovering them in German class my freshman year of HS, so 20 years ago (wow...) and this song may now be my favorite of theirs. My German isn't great but "der Penis sieht jetzt wieder Sonne" translates into something like "now the penis gets to see the sun again". And you were spot on about the pain involved, another one of the lines "doch ohne Schmerzen geht es nicht" means "But without pain it doesn't work". One of the other funny lines "Botox rein bis ins Gehirn" I believe means "Botox injected straight into the brain."
And at the end the cat was eating a part of Till's face.
I am a musician and have to say , that even if you have your disclamer about your music knowledge ..it is pretty damn on point almost all the time. I hope you will do well in here, your channel deserves it.
I like your opinion. My favorite song by “Rammstein” is “Dalai Lama” - relative unknown, but also strong message.

Another few Rammstein videos to watch are "Keine Lust" (the band members are portrayed as having done everything possible, and so have no desire for anything else), and "Radio" (about censorship, German radio in particular).
As for Till being up for anything, there's two videos for his song "Ach so gern" from his second solo album, "Frau und mann". It's the "one shot video" version you should view, and I'll just say that it's good that Till apparently enjoys pain. The song itself is quite different to what Rammstein have done, Till had his solo project to do things that are just that, and as always there's a story behind the song.

When I saw Zick Zack video for the first time, my thoughts was "it's Keine Lust 2.0") After it I googling that video director for Zick Zack is the same as for Keine Lust)

Spot on ! Yes this is exactly what Rammstein does: Talk about all possible subjects that are out there, people in general will not talk about, since they get uncomfortable talking about them. But since Rammstein talks about really every Subject...even the very particular eerie ones, people actually start discussing them in public. So in a very convincing way Rammstein with their songs is a discussion starter about subject, people normally would have avoided to talk about.
By the way: When beauty is pain....you must be in a hell of pain ;-)
It's a song about overdoing it with plastic surgery, where people are obsessed with beautification, so much so that they go to any length to get it. Craziness of it all, where no other goal in life seems to matter anymore. Song text tells about taking out some extra ribs, pulling skin back so much that you can't blink eyes anymore, suck out the fat so that the "pen**s finally sees the Sun again". Refrain says that there's no beauty without pain nowadays, if the beauty at any cost and with any means is the goal. And how it still is fleeting, a constant race against time and what the body can take, until it eventually fails, until Botox overflows the brain.
Yes this is an hilarious Rammstein's video but also had serious meaning behind the lirics.
This song reminds me very much of Oomph's song dealing with the same topic, i.e., physical beauty being painful and causing suffering. Causing people to look further to the inside (real beauty). 🤟
The official videos have good close captions in English, automatically generated, but good (because I saw somebody read the translation of a song on Genius lyrics, and it wasn't great). So turn them on!

She lived to be about 100 and would talk about how fragile her skin was and stuff like that, but she loved to be alive and she used to say that to my mom "If you don't want to get old, then you should die young"

Hey Stacey, I love Rammstein! I live in the Netherlands which is located west of Germany and they have such amazing songs. I'm very curious what you think of Ren, with his song Hi Ren. That song is now a year old and with that he has really become big. He is an independent artist with many different styles under his name. His 2nd album Sick boi was recently released and debuted at number 1 in the UK album release. I would love to hear your opinion. He also has a song called Dominoes which is also about the beauty industie and the way they are working. It is insane!

to remain yourself without even a cosmetic procedure is to show who you are. I have had plastic surgery for a medical procedure, and I can understand that with other problem cases, but to become more beautiful by doing something like that makes no sense. The beauty is INSIDE.....not on the outside

The guitar player on the left based on a real person. The name is harald glööckner.
I believe that the meaning behind the video is that they are mocking the fact that people get plastic surgery in order to keep looking ‘good’, despite them getting older and getting wrinkles. Zick zack also means ‘Tic toc’ as in time marches on. Later on in the video he illustrates that getting the botox in order to keep looking ‘good’, only makes you look worse and you shouldn’t do it and just embrace the way you age.
