I love the british accent! Try "Mutter", live in Paris! the guitar theme is gigantic. I' ve seen grown men cry! And of course "Zeit", a masterpiece both musically and cinematically. I agree with Wild Wine, English subtitles would be helpful on both videos. Greetings from nothern Germany

If and when you get round to the song Zeit DEFINITELY do it with English subtitles,again from EducatedMarine. Its a song with strong lyrics and it does it best to see em as they are sang in the official music video
When I think of Rammstein I think of a lot of things, laugh out loud hilarity just got added to the list. I was given some information on hair transplant surgery once, and when I saw the cost I bought a hat. ( Need BPR ball caps in the merch store) How successful was Elton John? He made so much money that he could afford hair transplants. This was great and very different with some tecno in there. My suggestion for next week is Ich Will live from the Volkerball tour, if just to see the Arena de Nimes, which is a 2000 year old Roman amphitheater, plus I like the song. That's my vote!

Zick Zack is not exactly snip snip (that would be Schnippschnapp) but it's often said together. Zickzack means zigzag.

I absolutely LOVE your Rammstein reactions! Please do the Madison Square Garden live performances to "Ich tu dir weg" and "Rammlied"! The last one is the opener and both are just GREAT! BTW: 8.1 is too low ;)
It's not that hard to get a good english translation. It's essential to understand the meaning of their songs, cause the lyrics are so deep and strong. Please do yourself a favor and use "educated marine" to get a good translation
In the beginning Flake didn't want to join the band but Till insisted, that without him the band would not work.
In the meantime, he once said that they are like family to him. Especially Till.
This was flipping brilliant! It wasn't as heavy as the others and I liked the synthy parts too.
As for the video, what can I say? 🤣🤣🤣 I love how they're taking the mick out of the extremes some people go to with plastic surgery. Some of the results ARE ridiculous, and they've poked a bit of fun at it.
Also, BP1 and his little 'blue' buttons continue to be hilarious 😂

How many buttons have you got?? Truthfully, it's so funny because it's so genuine when you muck it up a bit, makes the video naturally entertaining. Colour code them maybe? Or by letter? 'P' for Patreon, 'R' for react etc etc. Of course you have two 's' things, but keep that for subscribe and do a doodle of a football for the 'score it' one.
I'm mostly talking through my butt here, but there we are...
Edit: I learned to play the piano by putting stickers with the notes on them on every key. I can just about read music, and I can play the piano mediocre, but I can't read AND play. I just learn the music or play by ear. Sticky labels are your friend!

Ihr solltet Rammstein Videos mit Untertitel anhören bzw. anschauen und am besten von Anfang bis zum Ende und dann könnt ihr danach diskutieren. Sonst versteht ihr überhaupt nicht um was es da geht. Der Text ist übrigens nicht zum Lachen!

Zick Zack means zig zag and not schnip schnip.
In this context (note the hand gestures while they're singing that part) "Zick Zack" is used as one of the German onomatopoeias ("Lautmalereien") for cutting things off, typically with scissors or shears, and thus more precisely corresponds to the English equivalent onomatopoeia "snip snip" (words don't always translate one-to-one, context is crucial). In most other contexts, especially when it comes to describing patterns or motion, it does indeed rather translate to "zig zag" instead.
@@berlindude75 You can't simply redefine the words of a language. Because otherwise you rob it of its very basic function. Zick Zack already has a fixed meaning in the German language. Zick Zack could refer to the cutting lines that are painted on the skin before the operation and can also be seen several times in the video. Cutting with scissors already has a corresponding onomatopoeia in the German language: Schnipp Schnapp.

This is not a problem of translation but of your misinterpretation based on the hand gesture in a music video. This is not how you analyze texts. Etymologically it is even questionable whether the expression is an onomatopoeic creation at all or it is an alliterative word form from Germanic.
Just because German is your native language doesn't make you an expert in German studies or linguistics in general. Even if most people who don't speak German, to whom you "explain" Rammstein lyrics on the internet, might think you are. And the arrogance to think you have to explain basic stylistic devices to me testifies to your hubris. If you had bothered to do at least some basic research on the expression, you would have quickly realized that you are wrong. Instead, you stubbornly insist on your opinion and play the linguistics professor who babbles some nonsense about needed "interpretation". The only correct translation of Zick Zack is and remains zig zag.
The appeal of Ramm is bewildering. Its club music disguised as metal. Why do people like this stuff? Really, somebody help me out here.

After doing this for a year and a half we have seen, listened and indulged ourselves in all genres…. Well many and the crossovers of music we enjoy and almost as bewildering … but I have to say, Ramm have a draw in our opinion to dance, rock, metal and 80’s that just pulls you in… I dunno for some for sure it won’t but that’s ok. But it’s great finding out new artists and bands :)

@@BritPopsReact I understand what you are saying, but, Ramm only melds two genres, where BABYMETAL meld many genres, and their singing is great, their vocal melodies are great, they have amazing compositions like Megitsune KAGAROU and Elevator Girl, and the "Kami" band are lethal players. Give them hundreds of millions of views.
