It's like watching a pre-recording of my day on the course.
This is why I love golf, no-one has ever or will ever perfect it.
You are correct. It is the best game ever because it cannot be perfected. In the last 3 days I played 3 rounds chasing perfection. I could never catch it but I had a great time trying. I think this is why many young players shy away from the game. They see it on T.V. and figure it's easy, but when they actually play they realize golf is no joke.
My love for playing golf spans almost 50 years now. I love when the sun comes up on a golf day and hate it when the sun goes down. It makes me feel like a 56 year old child at play.
@@paulh7589 do you have any advice on how to start?(I have no gear or experience) I’ve played ice hockey for 10+ years and I would like to give this a try.
@@Axter6 honestly, and this may sound cliche, but find a range and watch a couple vids on basic swing thoughts and just have fun and hit balls. I think as you enjoy it more and start going on the course, you will start to want to practice/play more and enjoy it more.

@@Axter6 really depends on if you want to try and get really good. Tiger started with a putter and very slowly worked his way up but for someone who’s not necessarily trying to go pro, I would start with irons (6i down to PW) and the go up to driver and putter. You hit irons the most (besides putting), so I would say those are the most important. Practicing putting sucks tho cuz it’s boring but very helpful.

I've learned to appreciate Tyrell Hatton... guess it can be annoying if he's complaining about the course, but seems like he's usually just making fun of himself in a hilarious way. Either way it's pretty entertaining.
This is better than any golf tournament I've ever seen
Feel this in my soul! Few years back I played in a tourney at my Mens Club and came in dead last… dead dead last, due mostly to one hole where ever shot kept going worse and worse. No matter what I tried I could not recover to a decent lie and makable shot. It was excruciatingly painful for me and everyone watching. Golf is indeed hard!

I am around a 8 handicap at my local courses, and I think I would shoot about 120 on some of these courses.
I was thinking that. I could never be good enough around the greens to avoid some of these situations. They hit fine shots, just with a bit too much pace, and the ball rolls 100 feet into a hazard off the green. That's just unfair for any amateur.
Not to mention the few examples of them putting from the surface and degreening it after again what looks like a fine pace.
@@acegamestv some of these greens seem too fast. There's no pace judgement skill allowed to be displayed at all, you just tap and hope you got the right line.
@@sundakhistan4000 Ya, that is so different than what I experience on the greens I play, it looks like an entirely different sport. I have to put some muscle in some of my putts. Some of these seem like if you breath on it, its going to roll 40 feet.
16 handicap here, would probably shoot double par
Im amazed how calm these golfers are after such bad shots or bad luck. I know golfers that snap their clubs and they cant even afford new ones !
Once you have the basics of swinging golf is a 90% mental game. I’m a caddie and see great players get ruined when they can’t brush off mistakes.
Some of those greens are just diabolical

This is so hard to watch. Couldn’t finish, makes me hurt to much. Still thumbs up cause you cause pain.
The difference is shots like these happen to PGA guys once every 10-15 rounds versus players like myself that it happens to multiple times in a single round. 😂

This is so nice to see. I was thinking how come these guys always hit great shots. Nope. Even pros shank it’s every once in a while. Or take many shots to get out of one spot. Also, it is almost criminal how short the grass is around some of those greens. It looked like those balls got a second wind after it went off the green

Hackers like us have a hard time comprehending just how difficult some of these PGA Tour courses are set up. I mean c'mon - look at those shaved fringes around the green. It's no wonder those putts went into the drink. Still, it gives us high handicappers hope, or something, to see this.
