Hatton's mistake of hitting the ball too well, carrying the ball all the way over the water hazard and landing onto the green was indeed very relatable
Not the wrong club no
It was more the reaction
Drives me mad when i hit my 3 wood 270 instead of 250
i do that all the time ;-) haahaahaaaa totally relatable!
Its relatable to strike badly only to find the ball on the green next to the flag :D
I love how rahm was looking at the grass as if it made his swing shank a shot. 😂
I mean it did tho. The grass when it’s that thick can easily catch your club and force a shank.
@@chrisd6736 with his swing speed?!?! If you look closely at his shaft at address and just before impact the grass wasn't a factor.
@@lafawnduh1543 I mean ya super thick grass can ruin any shot. That’s why they try not to hit it into the rough lol. We could argue about it all day as to what caused this particular shank. All I’m saying is that grass was a factor.
@@chrisd6736 you have no idea what you're talking about, just shut up
Pretty sure he was just placing the chunk he hit out of the ground back in
Rory's laugh at his own shot was priceless
No remorse for Rahm from the commentator 😂 "Jon, there isnt a reason, it was a shank"
5:07 now THAT is relatable!!!!
After just finishing a round myself literally an hour ago, I feel like this video is going to make me feel better about my day now….
Update: it didn’t
These would be some of my top highlights ...
One thing I am learning right now is about ball position. Sometimes you have to play the ball further back in your stance if it’s in heavy stuff, so you hit the ball first and not the grass. But that risks leaving the clubface open. In which case you need to really purposefully turn the club head over, use a strong grip, roll your wrists, turn your body, whatever it takes - or that thing is shanking off to the right.
There's a simple solution: Keep the ball on the fairway.
@johnanthony6092 yes but impossible to do every shot, every round
@@thelovepools4102 Don't hit the driver on narrow fairways. Play something like 5 iron-5 iron instead. A 5 iron from the fairway into the green is much easier that hitting your second shot from deep, wet rough following an errant shot with the driver.
Most golfers are mid handicap or higher; stop trying to play scratch golf. You have a handicap for a reason.
Next time you play, try a challenge. Leave the big clubs at home. Take (say) a 3 or 4 hybrid, 6 iron, 8 iron, wedge, sand iron and putter. You'll be surprised how well you play.
@johnanthony6092 was having a killer round a few days ago. I was only +1 starting on hole 8 and literally a 5 iron would have done me a lot better on that hole which is a super tight fairway. Hit a lost ball with driver. My draw didn't kick in and instead it was a fade into trees and junk. You basically have to drive to reach in 2 on that hole and my best record on course is +4. I'll try the 5 hybrid next time. I ended up with a 9 on hole 8, ouch. Was +7 after 9 holes on a par 4 and 3s course. Could have pulled out a +3 or +4 keeping the driver out on that fairway so yes I like where your head is at! My goal is to shoot par there eventually though so I may eventually have to drive hole 8 or hit my 7 wood a little farther. Tough call. It's a hard dog leg right but you need to drive 215 uphill to have a clear shot at green
@@thelovepools4102 Course management is important; it really can shave many strokes off your round. Also, don't worry too much about bogeys. Some holes are tough and bogey can be a good score for a handicapper. Just try and make birdie on an easier hole to make up for it.
I saw a pro dead top a middle iron years ago at the LA Open ( in Valencia ) - went maybe 30 yards lol.
Next shot was to 15 feet / made the putt - easy par 🤷🏼♂️
Boy, staring into the Dubai skyline coming home on #18, it's impossible not to feel small, regardless of the shot you just hit.
On a more related note, "Jon, there isn't one, it was a shank" will forever be an all-time classic call. I love Jon, but I love well-timed commentator sass even more.
Ahh i needed that. Thanks
Would be great, as an amateur golfer, to see the follow up shots that the pros play after a bad one like these
"He's looking for a reason, an acorn or something..." lol
Jon stands real close to the ball😂
7:47 the sailboat in the pond LOL
5:10 and 6:45 😂😂😂 my favorites
Yes
This counteracts the psychological damage imposed on my mind
by my watching only the miraculous highlights.
Thanks for posting.
So this was where the Langer clip was supposed to end up from the other video!
Excellent work
This video are really rocking 💞
This proves that these people are human..makes me feel way better honestly.
Video are best but you are always best
Always waiting your video
I never miss the DP World on the BBC.
Seriously need to change those names.
Playing 3 from the ladies tees are a forfeit in our rulebook 😂
Crazy video 🤠🤠🤠
Video is very nice!
Well done
2:20 I'd be like, "Chip and putt baby I`ll take it!"
On repeat
Sound good 💯
Very good
Really good video
Mistakes turn drastic to become fargiveness! Takes special hands and perculia tools, took note @spieth
Golf & lifelong lessons ⛳🎯
Rocking🔥
Best video
Really Nice video
Looking nice
I think the difference is that these tour players hit bad shots like these maybe once a year, where amateurs like me hit about 10 each round
More than that, golf is hard haha
And pros recover like mothers.
2:48 How my par 5s go 80% of the time.🤣
Soo nice video
Osm editing
Nothing is impossible 🙌
I often find myself watching these about a half hour after my Sunday round…
how is your video quality so good
Good ♥️
harvesting poison videos 😍
your mind is amazing 🔥
Where'd you get this footage of me from earlier?
NYC 😍
Is one of them joining the LIV tour?
OMG 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I’ve done pretty much all of these 😂
And that was just in this morning's round! 😂😂😂
Not bad
Fantastically video ended
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Oh hey. I did that once. And that. And that. AND THAT.
I've learnt that that very embarrassing shot that I play around the green is a shank. Now I know.
what video you made
Hatton should know how to control his emotions. It's just surprising how he can play golf better than every single one of us in this comment section with that much lack of emotion controls.
Like it
💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
I don't feel too bad after watching pros make the same mistakes I do....
😍😍😍😍
🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
😍😍😍😍😍😍
We want to meet you 😍
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Again the “ Euro tour” tries to sell us a player who plays mostly on the PGA tour. What about the guys who actually play in Europe?
🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
😎😎😎😎😎
💞💞💞💞💞
Hatton's shot is NOT relatable to me. Why? I can't hit a ball that good!!! 😅
Failed all the competitors 💯
A lot of weird bots in these comments. Paid for comments?
Can you give me personal contact
👻👻👻👻
✌️✌️✌️✌️
😯😯😯😯😯
hatton is just straight up annoying
I've seen Hovland hit some of the worst shots that I've never seen an elite player mis-hit. Even I, as an amateur, self taught, I rarely hit a shank.
His swing is so odd at the top, its just a matter of probability that those things will happen at some point.
There's about 50 degrees of readjustment
Well you got the confidence part of the game down. It’s a tightrope though because overconfidence will ruin you.
Eventually Darth Shank battles every Jedi.
JORDAN IS A CRY BABY
What was the cameraman following on Rory's shot.. 😂
I couldn't imagine hitting a good shot with an entire crowd around you only 5 feet away just breathing down your neck almost literally. I know these guys are professionals, but I'm just imagining myself trying it. I can barely handle tlmy own group watching me tee off lol
I see someone paid for fake comments
