Only concern with any gel based product with press ons is they have to transparent enough to get a nice fill cure throughout underside of press on or your asking for issues, from popping off, to trapping liquid and icky stuff, to gel allergies from the uncured gel in center
Mostly commenting to boost this comment. Most press ons are nowhere near transparent enough for this method to be safe. Contact dermatitis and lifelong complications are on the other side of this for sure.
Looks great!!! Just getting into doing nails from home and liking the press on nails, but don’t like the glue! I will try this method. Thank you for sharing
Do you have any tips on how I can seal finished press ons? I can't roughen them and if I only use primer, it doesn't hold up so well. I apply a primer and then a base + sealer and leave everything under the lamp for longer, but on some nails I can pull it off really cleanly 😞
wait so you don’t put a base coat ? just the primer then the nail glue ? i love this ! are they too thin tho ? are they strong ? because i REFUSE to spend my thighs and arms at the nail shop so ive been painting my nails with the gel polish for a while but it ALWAYS peels off after a few days !! idk if it was the product or my nails not being fully prepped but even when i was getting gel at the salon it was the same thing !!! but i miss having acrylic nails 🥲
hey beau, I did these yesterday and they weren't poppin but I didn't have all the goodies you have so I pulled them right off after I went to my interview. this was a good video dear. I need all of this. lol!
Thank you!! I am enjoying my glue on nails verses using gel polish directly on my natural nail..but they get dull on me from time to time.😮 I will definitely try this tonight 😊
hi! thanks for the video 😋 i use this method however the top coat always peels off as the surface of the false nail is typically really shiny and smooth so it doesn’t stick well. does this happen to you? and how can i prevent this?
@@CamilliaYvette Stop trying to give advice when you don't know what you are talking about. Using non-transparent press on nails with gel is going to prevent a full cure and is going to cause gel allergies! I understand that a lot of people are looking for a quick "hack" (me included) but this is NOT the way!
I have no experiences with press on nails but, the dehydrator makes really good bond but what ever ur putting over it will bond really well. Primer ... its sticky, and it's supposed to be and ur suppse to apply what ever builder gel , base, or acrylic over it . Never heard putting nail glue ontop of primer. Btw wherr is the gel x ?? I would have put a thin layer of gel x base, then builder, maybe thick enough so the tip fits better then wipe with alcohol , buff the surfce , then nail glue . The only thing i worry abt press on real nail nails is, when the glue starts loosen upand water gets trap betweem ur nails.... Atleast this way if it pops up u have some sorta builder gel over ur real nails for protection....
Listen, this is going to cause a permanent nail allergy. It's called contact dermatitis and it's caused by nail gel not fully curing. When you do gel x with nails that arent clear, like these ones from kiss (MEANT FOR NAIL GLUE) then youre setting yourself up for giving yourself an allergy. Even these ones that are partially colored won't work because it doesn't cure 100% like it needs to because the nail is not 100% clear. Please do your research and educate yourself before you DIY, and especially when you post a video to share with the crowd. Blessings, i hope your skin is okay.
If you’re gonna go putting big statements like this online at least be correct it’s not contact dermatitis it is v different the allergy u can get from this bc contact dermatitis is not at caused by this and it’s also not permant plz educate yourself before incorrectly tryna inform others it’s just an allergic reaction u will get an can cause escma similar to contact dermatitis but it is not
@@niamhcarr3215actually they’re correct, but i’m not sure if that’s how it’s caused! & yes that is what it’s called. i got contact dermatitis on only one of my finger, not sure what i did wrong but it appeared after i did my nails even though ive been doing my own nails for a while now! i think it was the specific brand i used or something, not sure but this is something to be aware about!
Thank you for the info. I was wondering how that happened to girls. I w just recently asked an independent press on seller and she told me I could use gel x only if the nails were light color
No hate here! But you might want to research this method a little better because you can develop a nasty allergy or chemical burn. You might want to search TikTok for people that have had a bad outcome doing this method.
I’m going to try this. Getting my nails done is starting to feel like a chore. Please show more videos.
Came to RUclips to see exactly this. I’ll never be good at doing designs so I was hoping I could do gel x with cute press ons. Love this!!!

Exactly!!!! I keep seeing people doing this! If the nail is not transparent it cannot be cured correctly.

this!
@@chantelgrant2262oh, yes it can be. You just have to cure them for longer. I wear whatever nails I want, but I cure them for at least 4 minutes!
Yes. The method in this video is a very very bad idea.
Very informative and helpful video. Thank you so much ❤ and please consider using the UV protection gloves

You're so welcome!
Wow CC, i wear press-on and i never thought to do them like this. They look good
Thanks!!
What do you use to remove after 3 weeks? Do you have a tutorial for that process?

Do they have to be like kinda transparent like that or or does it still work if they are darker or have rhinestones
Two questions:
how long do I cure after I put the gel on the nail and then press on the finger?
Have you ever used a 9-in-1 gel for press on nails?
Great video! Do you get better, longer lasting results using lighter nails (for the UV light) than with darker press ons?
I usually use acrylic for my press on nails. I’m going to try this method
❤ it can’t wait to try this I was wondering if I could skip the hassle of painting 🙏🏼

I'm trying to figure out why we'd even need a top coat if it's a press on, not a freshly painted nail. 🤔
Thank you.
These are my FAVORITE ONES
How long do you cure each nail individually under the small light?
About 15 seconds.
@@CamilliaYvette thank you!

You're from Cleveland 😮? I seen the P.O box . And i just purchased the items in your links. Gonna report how i do and how they look after 😊😊
Yes I am!!! I hope you enjoy!
Very cute! good job👌❤
Thank you! 😊
Hi! I want to do this but I want to know how to remove them ( preferably without acetone) can I use soap and water??
I use a slipping solution to get mine off and I dont generally have an issue after that
How did you remove it?
Goals! I'm trying this tonight
GOALS!! ❤
Is there a way that you can take them off without damaging the fake nails
Maybe...but I haven't figured it out lol.
Hi! How do you take them off?
I have the same question.
Me too

What kind of nail glue are you using?
It's linked in the bio and it's Beetle... it's on the video. Hope that helps.
Can you do a tutorial on how to remove the press ons?
Do your nails stay tacky after the time you spent roughing the (beautiful) fake nails as well as curing the glue on your own natural nails?
You made it look so simple . I would love more💯💯
Just came across your video and I will be trying your method 💅🏼. Super excited!!
Please don't. Press on nails are not transparent enough for the gel to cure fully, which will lead to gel allergies
I would just extend the cure time to make sure that the gel is 100% cured and enough light penetrates the press on nail
Am only going for pedicure 😂 I love my press on nails...an I get mines fro SheIn an Temu an love it
That's right!!
How to you remove after 2 weeks?
Soak in hot water for 10 min!!
How has this method worked for you ?

I am loving this. Your mom is the best with those press on❤❤

What if you put the builder gel on top of the nail only. Like use regular glue to adhere the nail to your real nail
