      Ty, you answered my question lol, I don’t have the builder and was wondering if I could use regular nail glue, or gel polish to cure the full nails tips?! But as long as I can use the base cote and cure I’ll be all set? Awesome I’m gonna try it out

      I laughed. Sorry. I’m in same boat. Trying to get them off now. I bought the gel “eat off” that comes in a polish bottle and apply, scrape off and reapply along will drilling lightly. I hate putting my nails in a bowl of acetone! Hopefully your nails are off now as it’s been 7 months. LOL 😆

    • @sallybeauty

      The bonder is great for that! It's what adheres the builder gel to your nails, is easy to apply and easy to remove! We always recommend checking the manufacturer's guidelines for suggested product use ❤️

    • @remixtape3677
      @remixtape3677 Год назад +3

      Yes, there is. Builder gel is gonna have a way stronger hold. The base gel is for before gel polish.

    • @Samwise_92
      @Samwise_92 Год назад +2

      @remixtape3677 so there's a specific gel you have to buy called builder gel? I've watched nail techs use 'gel' to glue there nails on but they never mentioned builder gel.

    Does anyone know why my builder gel won’t cure ? Not sure if it’s too old or if there’s something wrong with my lamp ? The nails won’t stay on

    • @weinerwagon6667
      @weinerwagon6667 2 года назад +1

      Possibly your not leaving long enough under lamp? I did that. Also, remember they will come out sticky as if not cured but that’s normal. You take an alcohol pad and wipe each nail to remove the sticky portion.

    • @sallybeauty

      Hey girl hey! I lightly buff off the shine and soak them off with acetone.

    • @weinerwagon6667
      @weinerwagon6667 2 года назад +4

      I hate soaking with acetone so here’s my way - I purchased “aliver “ it comes in a nail polish bottle and is in a baby blue bottle with white twist top. On it it reads “mail polish gel remover”. Basically it’s acetone. You polish nails with it and you can see it eating away at the gel. You scrape it off as it’s bubbling up and paint again and again until it’s less and less. I also lightly drill. I just don’t like my fingers sitting in a wet bowl of acetone so I like this better.

    • @squrgle
      @squrgle 2 года назад

      @@weinerwagon6667 I would be careful with those removers. They are not acetone-based. The active ingredient is the same as industrial paint thinner, and it's proven to cause cancer. They work really fast but they are much more dangerous than acetone is!
